Hotels in Tullamarine/Melbourne Airport, Essendon Fields

Last minute booking for just one night stopover in between flights, but what a great choice I made. Highly recommend and will stay again next time I’m in Melbourne. Great shuttle service, quick phone call and the lovely driver was there to pick us up, en route he was telling us about the local history. Check in was a breeze and our room was ready early, again friendly staff on reception. Helped with information on getting around. Room looks recently renovated, clean and warm. Everything you need. Great breakfast, overall a great place to stay. Thank you 🤩

Very nice hotel, locate 5KM to Melbourne airport. Hotel has free parking service and is really good for self drive. Room size is big and clean, highly recommend

Fantastic stay for my one night layover before hopping in to another flight for Tasmania. Great value for all that it offers - modernly designed, CLEAN, friendly service staff and very close walking proximity to the airport. Hop on a skybus in to Melbourne city right from the airport for approx. 40AUD round trip. Gym and pool facilities are paid offerings tho, which was a first for me.

I think best hotel near airport in this price range. Pickup from airport was free and very prompt. For us it arrived faster than Uber. Checkin was very smooth and efficient. Hotels and rooms very extremely clean with great amenities. Breakfast was also very nice. This was first time for me to explore Mantra property and will surely prefer next time.

Upon arrival I could not find the “free” shuttle to hotel hence I had to take a $30/- cab ride for travelling less than a kilometre.  When checking with front desk at checkin, receptionist mentioned that I have to call hotel for the free shuttle. This information was not provided anywhere on Trip.com nor the hotel! The front desk is not v friendly and called at 6pm sharp to remind me of my check out time where another receptionist I had earlier confirmed with that I could checkout at 7pm.  All in all I did not enjoy the service from front desk personnel.

We are a family of 5 adult and 1 infant, and we booked 2 rooms separately. We primarily chose this hotel because of the good location next to the domestic terminal and a not-so-expensive price point (compared to Parkroyal which was directly opposite the hotel). The rooms were decently-sized, nothing too luxurious as it catered mainly to travellers transferring in the airport. The hotel had a massive gym, which was surprisingly given that it was mostly empty but they had all kinds of equipment catering to all body parts. We also had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was OK. Not the best food, but at least it filled out stomachs with the standard spread of Western food - fruits, bread, eggs and bacons etc. All in all, would recommend this hotel if you are transitioning at Melbourne for a night and looking for an affordable yet not too shabby place to sleep!

Was very easy to find, reception staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Free 24 hour shuttle to the airport was on time and easy. Would stay again. Price was great!

Such great communication , clean rooms, and great to know they have a courtesy bus and you can park you car at the hotel well your away. Will definitely be our go to place for future flights . A++++

It is close to the airport, and the hotel shuttle can be reserved to the airport as early as 06:00. There is no convenience store within walking distance, so you have to drive for about ten minutes to reach the shops and restaurants. Fortunately, residents can enjoy discounted parking. There are not many breakfast options, but it is sufficient, but there are few seats. The room space is sufficient and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are ideal. However, the hotel does not have swimming pools and other recreational facilities, which is more convenient for passengers in transit or for short stays.

Very convenient location if you are taking midnight or early morning flight, just across the street from airport and reasonable price. Room is big and clean but the sound proof is not that good. We can hear people talking at the corridor and also the sound of plane flying over.
