Yehs Hotel Melbourne CBD ★★★★

📍 600 Little Bourke St, Melbourne

"This is the second stay at this hotel, where the room is just the right size for two people, clean, fully equipped with electrical appliances, including a portable heating system. The room I got this time had a city view, quiet, no noise disturbance. I was impressed with the service from the staff and the luggage storage service both before and after check-in."

Ibis Budget - Melbourne CBD
8.0 (310 reviews)

Ibis Budget - Melbourne CBD ★★★

📍 97-103 Elizabeth St, Melbourne

"I stayed at Ibis Budget Melbourne CBD recently. As the name suggests, it’s a budget hotel, so expectations should be modest. The biggest strength is definitely the location — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to trams, Flinders Street Station, and plenty of shops and restaurants. However, I did encounter some concerns with cleanliness and housekeeping. On one occasion, my linens and bedsheet had visible yellow stains that looked like old pee stains. I requested a replacement, but honestly, linens in that condition should already be disposed of. There were also two separate instances when my linens and towels were not replaced at all, which was disappointing. Service was generally okay, and staff were responsive when approached, but consistency in housekeeping needs attention. Overall, it’s fine if you’re after affordability and location, but improvements in cleanliness would make the stay much more comfortable."

Great Southern Hotel Melbourne ★★★★

📍 44 Spencer St, Melbourne

"Great value for money, convenient location with easy access to transportation. It's close to the riverside park and the aquarium. St. Paul's Church is also within a 20-minute walk. The soundproofing could be a bit better though."

YTI Garden Hotel
8.4 (79 reviews)

YTI Garden Hotel ★★★

📍 378 Little Bourke St, Melbourne

"This was a clean and comfortable hotel! They had all the basic amenities like towels, a hairdryer, and shampoo, plus tea and coffee. The location was incredibly convenient; it was great to be able to walk back in just 5-10 minutes after shopping or spending time at a cafe. The reception staff were very kind; in my case, even though it was before the official check-in time, they let me into my room because it was ready. I felt they offered excellent service for the price in Melbourne. I'd definitely want to stay here again if I come back to Melbourne!"

Comfort Apartments Melbourne Central

Comfort Apartments Melbourne Central ★★★★

📍 43 Lonsdale St, Melbourne

"good and spacious."

"The room was a bit old, but it's a hotel with a lot of history. Its location near Flinders Street Station is very convenient. There are also many supermarkets and restaurants nearby, though the area itself can be a bit chaotic."

Comfort Apartments Melbourne Central ★★★★
"A very budget friendly and basic apartment but it had everything we needed for our stay and was comfortable enough. Some things to be aware of/room for improvement… It was quite noisy from the road behind at night, the bath floor was peeling, the shower temperature was very temperamental, the sink taps leaked and the freezer shelf was open and therefore made the fridge and our food very wet. However, given the location, friendliness of the staff and the price, I would said it’s good enough value for money"
