"The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Melbourne. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, with countless dining and shopping options all within walking distance. The room itself was generally fine; nothing spectacular, but it was clean and had all the necessary amenities. The shower had great water pressure. It also featured a small kitchenette, which was handy for simple meals, and the air conditioning kept the room warm. However, there were two issues that I found somewhat bothersome: First, we arrived at the hotel at 10 AM and asked for early check-in, for which we were charged an extra $100. What was frustrating was that at every other hotel we stayed at afterwards, early check-in was complimentary if a room was available; this was the only place that imposed a fee. Secondly, regarding the deposit, it was indeed refunded very slowly, just as other reviews pointed out. It took about a month for it to finally process. Otherwise, everything was quite good, and it still offers excellent value for money."

"The hotel has an excellent location, right in the heart of Melbourne's CBD, with a bustling commercial district right outside. Various light rail lines (Melbourne doesn't have a metro, it's all trams) pass by. The hotel is clean, the front desk service is acceptable, and the breakfast is decent. The only downside is that it's not a great option for several consecutive nights without changing hotels. The hotel is new, so the facilities are quite modern. The biggest problem is that hotel prices in Melbourne fluctuate daily, and the differences are huge; for example, weekend prices can be more than double Monday prices."

"I feel like home. Although the room cleaning is not really done well, lots of hair and rubbish not cleaned  everyday, some cooking utensils are oily, we did a bit cleaning and try best to maintain good. That’s not really a big problem. The bed, the pillows are comfortable and the design is comfy. The water pressure is enough 👍🏼. I can sleep well that’s the most important. The location is perfect. Just within 2 mins walk to the free tram to city center. There’re 2 supermarkets nearby.  The man helping check-in comes a bit unfriendly and makes me feeling uncomfortable. I am not a native English speaker , not listening quite well as he speaks too fast. I received an unpleasant face when I need to repeat. Honestly, I don’t have problems of reading English."

"This apartment is right on the edge of Melbourne’s free tram zone, just a few blocks from Flinders Street Station—an ideal base for anyone familiar with the city’s tram network. Getting around is straightforward if you know how to make the most of the free transport system. The apartment itself is well-equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. A functional kitchen includes a stove, an ample supply of cutlery and plates, and a smart TV with built-in access to Netflix—perfect for winding down after a day out. The heater did emit a high-pitched noise when first switched on, but it settled once the temperature stabilized, allowing for a restful night. The only down side is the reception is not 24hrs."

"The hotel front desk lack enthusiasm and was as cold as winter outside. Will not be naming staffs but the hotel can do way better. The only plus point is the location. Housekeeping is good. If not for the location, its doubtful there will be return Guests. The staff on my check out looked more senior and was friendly. She did a better job."

"This is definitely a hotel I'd want to stay at again; check-in was super smooth. The room and bed were really small, but it's newly renovated and has everything you need, plus a nice city view from the window. The price was fantastic, and the location is super convenient – you can walk everywhere you want to go in the city. The only downside is that it's a bit close to the train tracks, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. The air conditioning kept showing errors and wasn't working very well."

"Stayed for two nights. The room was very clean and the waiter was very friendly. There was a problem with the door of the small balcony in the room, but they quickly changed the room. "This is my first time staying at such a great hotel for this price – excellent value for money! I was amazed when I walked into the room. The bathroom was spacious and clean, with a bathtub where you could soak while watching TV. There was also a separate walk-in closet. The bed was really comfortable; I don't like beds that are too soft, and this one was just right. You could see a bit of the river from the window. Overall, I'm very satisfied, and it will be my top choice next time I'm in Melbourne. There are plenty of restaurants downstairs, and The Meat & Wine Co. there is delicious."

"Although the location is relatively biased, the surrounding facilities are very good, there are many large supermarkets, and the South Melbourne market, which opens at 3.5.6.7 every week, which is similar to the domestic vegetable market. I lived there for 10 days. Cleaner, suitable for longer stays"

GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

PPugongyingdezhongziThe hotel is conveniently located right next to the T4 terminal parking lot. What's really thoughtful is the shuttle bus service (every twenty minutes, inquire at the front desk upon check-in) that takes you directly to the international departure gate at T2, which is super convenient. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant, and meals ordered are delivered to your room within 30 to 40 minutes. The room amenities are quite new and comfortable. It's perfectly suited for those catching early morning flights. The hotel service is good; the front desk staff, a very nice young lady, proactively provided information about the shuttle bus and recommended suitable timings. Two things to note: 1. Novotel and Ibis are in the same building, with separate front desks at opposite ends, so make sure you line up at the correct one; 2. The shuttle bus needs to be booked in advance, as they check names before boarding, and you might not get on without a reservation.

LLawIt is close to the airport, and the hotel shuttle can be reserved to the airport as early as 06:00. There is no convenience store within walking distance, so you have to drive for about ten minutes to reach the shops and restaurants. Fortunately, residents can enjoy discounted parking. There are not many breakfast options, but it is sufficient, but there are few seats. The room space is sufficient and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are ideal. However, the hotel does not have swimming pools and other recreational facilities, which is more convenient for passengers in transit or for short stays.

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

YYew Siong TanNovotel Melbourne on Collins was a fantastic base for our family trip! The location truly is perfect – having multiple free city tram stops within 100 meters made exploring effortless. We easily walked to major spots like Flinders Street Station and the stunning State Library Victoria. Food options were plentiful nearby, making ”food hunting” a breeze. A major plus for us was the onsite parking. Renting a car was stress-free knowing we had a guaranteed, convenient spot each night (parking fee applicable, refer to hotel front desk). The room was impressively spacious, comfortably accommodating our family of two adults and a kid. Having two queen-size beds was ideal – everyone had plenty of room to sleep well. **Things that could elevate the experience further:** 1. Breakfast Variety: While the breakfast was good, a wider selection of hot and cold options would be appreciated, especially for a longer stay. 2. TV Upgrade: The current TV channel is very limited. Upgrading to Smart TVs with access to streaming platforms like Netflix and YouTube would be a huge improvement for in-room entertainment, especially for families with young kids / toddler. 3. Shaving Kit Quality:The provided shaving kit's ”cream” (which was a soap) and blade weren't great. Offering a slightly higher quality kit with proper shaving cream would be a noticeable touch. **Overall:** We had a very comfortable and convenient stay thanks to the unbeatable location, easy parking, and spacious family room. Addressing the breakfast variety, TV upgrade, and shaving kit quality would easily push this towards a perfect 5-star experience. Highly recommended, especially for families needing space and city access.

Very Good
BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now. Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!). I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone. The beds were comfortable though! The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.

GGuest UserLocation: Can be tricky to find the first time as you need to turn onto Cyril Street. Look across the road for the white building with red writing. Check-in: easy and fast. The man on reception is friendly and organised, just a lovely receptionist. There is a bond of $200; be organised and you’ll save your time and the receptionist’s time. You can pay the bond in cash. Parking: great, BUT there are some permanents living there and so you might want to park away from them… you will see immediately where you should not park :) clean parking area. Seemed organised. Room: very clean, comfortable. There are no knives, forks or plates, but there is a kettle and a microwave. Teas coffees, etc. six milk pods, so maybe bring milk if you need more. Really make sure that you close the door properly or it will seem shut, but not actually be shut and will open :) Good curtains in the room that block out the light from outside. I noticed a fair amount of security cameras outside on the walkway, which was reassuring. Fantastic showers with plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed is firm, but I liked it. Would or wouldn’t stay again? Unfortunately, no, not while they are acting as ‘crisis accommodation’. The staff and room were great, but there are some undesirables living there who kept us awake all night. Not exaggerating when I say, did not sleep AT ALL. We were up and down to check on the car - the permanents were screaming, fighting - some real Jerry Springer stuff. I was upstairs and the people next to me had a dog that barked all night, in addition to the couple screaming at each other :/ Downstairs, fighting, screaming constantly. it sounded like something got broken downstairs. A guy on a motorbike kept coming and going, visiting the permanents downstairs and talking super loudly, then more yelling and fighting after he tore off on his bike. I didn’t feel safe; I expected the car to get damaged. I realise those people’s behaviour is not the motel’s fault, but I was so tired the next day that I got a migraine and yeah, still fending it off now, day after. Not impressed with those feral permanents. It’s a shame because the staff and rooms are great

GGuest UserVery easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.  The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.  The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.
