GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

GGuest UserWe initially booked just two nights at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, but the outstanding service we received made us extend our stay—and I’m so glad we did. The level of attentiveness and genuine care shown by the staff truly elevated our experience. One moment that stood out was during breakfast. My husband asked a staff member at the pastry section whether the items were halal. She explained it to him politely, and to our surprise, about 15 minutes later, the Assistant Director of the restaurant, Mr. Albert, personally came to our table. He took the time to explain the halal options available and even assured us that eggs could be prepared using separate utensils. While I was getting bread, Mr. Albert noticed and came over again, kindly asking if I would like my eggs prepared then. He immediately instructed the chef to prepare eggs and nuggets for me and told me to sit comfortably while he arranged everything to be brought over. His thoughtfulness and proactive service left a lasting impression. It’s rare to see such initiative and care, and it made me feel confident that I had chosen the right hotel. I will definitely recommend Grand Hyatt Melbourne to my family and friends. The hotel is fortunate to have a staff member like Mr. Albert—he truly deserves recognition for his outstanding hospitality.

DDaphh02The Highlights 1. The location of this hotel is second to none. Right outside the door, you’ll find endless food options from quick bites to diverse international cuisines, plus plenty of cafés, bars, and public transport. Having the SkyBus stop to the airport just around the corner was convenient. 2. Every team member I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. They are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service. 3. The room itself was spacious and modern. Both the daytime city views and night lights from the window were wonderful, and the furnishings felt new and well-maintained. 4. Guests have access to some excellent facilities, including a gym, a library, and a full wellness area. The indoor pool is comfortably heated even on a chilly Melbourne evening, and it comes with a sauna and bubble spa, which makes the stay feel more like a resort. What Could Be Improved 1. The room setup felt unusual. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but was placed in a two-bedroom apartment with the master bedroom locked off. I completely understand that I only paid for one room, but it felt a little strange knowing there was a part of “my” room I couldn’t access. Personally, I would have preferred a proper one-bedroom layout with full access. 2. The bedroom I was 'allowed' to stay in also didn’t have its own air conditioning. It relied on the living room’s unit to keep cool, while the locked-off master had its system. This design made things a bit uncomfortable at times, especially overnight. 3. The sofa had an unpleasant, urine-like odour, which made us reluctant to rest in the lounge. 4. The main door lock was rusty and stiff, making it frustrating to open and close. 5. There was no landline phone in the room to contact reception, so the only option was to head downstairs. A couple of times, even during office hours, the reception was unattended (likely because one staff member was juggling multiple tasks). It could be so inconvenient to have a more extended stay. 6. While the pool facilities were lovely, they were often crowded. The common facilities are shared with residents of the building as well as hotel guests, but this detracted from the relaxing vibe. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably. Mainly because of the unbeatable location, the great facilities, and the friendly staff. But I do think the hotel needs to address the details so that it can align with what they claimed as 'luxury'.

3320495****The hotel offers a convenient location with parking available right outside, making it easy for picking up guests. Rooms are generally quiet. Breakfast is provided; it offers good value if it's included in your Ctrip booking without an extra charge, otherwise, it's not worth the additional cost. It's a simple Western breakfast, and the menu doesn't change daily. While the hotel itself is reasonably clean, housekeeping standards are only average. On my first morning, there was no hot water in the bathroom; I had to run the tap for almost half an hour just to get a lukewarm shower. However, after I emailed them, the hot water issue was resolved for the remainder of my stay. Housekeeping repeatedly missed replenishing coffee, provided too few towels, and sometimes even forgot to put on pillowcases. Standard rooms are randomly assigned a queen-sized bed or twin beds. The bed was quite wobbly when turning over. The bathroom features only glass partitions, offering no light isolation or privacy. If you accidentally switch on the main light while using the toilet, you are completely exposed. It's an acceptable stay, but for the same price, you might find better options elsewhere.

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

GGuest UserNot your average hotel, looks like an apartment building as you enter. I picked a very busy time of year to stay as most guests where like me, there for the ACDC concert. No early check in but a smooth one. Warm and friendly. The room was spacious and had a kitchenett area.Nice comfry bed and couch. Huge shower. Great water pressure, fast hot water. Wifi great. Great location. Tram stop right outside hotel. Train station 5 minutes walk. Was suprised how quiet it was at night for a hotel on such a busy spot. Highy recommend people stay there

Vvan0ffthewallStayed at Ibis Kingsgate for two weeks as I was here to celebrate my birthday. It is my second time staying here; I also came here last year for two weeks and for my birthday! The hotel is located within a good and safe area - which is great for solo travellers such as myself. I’ve seen families at this hotel too. Ibis Kingsgate is within the free tram zone (you can take the 86 or 96), with access to many amenities nearby such as Coles, Woolies, Southern Cross Station (great for when you have to catch the SkyBus), My Chemist, and a range of food and cafe options. Located at the cross junction of King and Bourke St, the hotel is also walking distance to other popular streets such Elizabeth, Queen, Williams, Colins, Lonsdale, La Trobe, and more! Flinders is nearby too, and you can just cut across to Southbank as well! In fact, you can even walk to Lygon, Docklands or even as far as Collingwood, which I did! If walking is not your thing, there are also many options for trams, trains, and buses near this hotel. Room is adequate and clean, with a nice range of television channels. There’s a fridge, kettle and tea/coffee which is occasionally refilled. Bathroom is good too; sufficient and spacious enough, and for some - there’s even a window in the bathroom! The hotel staff are nice and it’s always great to be back. Thank you for the room upgrade, it made my trip even more special. I returned the gesture by keeping the room as clean and tidy as possible. ;p Until next time! See ya later!

BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now. Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!). I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone. The beds were comfortable though! The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.
