GGuest UserIf you’re looking for a stylish, central place to stay in Melbourne, Quay West Suites delivers in all the important areas. 📍 Prime Location Quay West’s address on Flinders Lane puts you right in the heart of everything. A few steps takes you to the iconic Yarra River, Federation Square, and Melbourne’s best shopping and café districts. Whether you’re in town for business, arts, or dining, having public transport, laneways, and nightlife within easy walking distance is a huge convenience. ✨ Impeccable Cleanliness From the moment you enter the foyer, the high standard of cleanliness across public areas and suites is clear. Plush carpets, sparkling bathrooms, and neatly made beds—everything felt fresh and immaculate throughout my stay. Housekeeping did a flawless job refreshing the room each day without ever interrupting my schedule. 👨💼 Friendly, Attentive Service Customer service here is both professional and warm. Front desk staff greeted me by name and were quick to offer directions, recommend hidden-gem eateries, and help with luggage. Room service was punctual, meals were presented beautifully, and every staff interaction made me feel genuinely welcome—not just another guest. 🧭 Thoughtful Facilities It’s the little things at Quay West that stand out: • A well-equipped kitchenette in each suite––perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a quick late-night snack. • In-room laundry facilities saved me from hunting down laundromats mid-trip. • The comfortable lounge and communal spaces offer a quiet place to work or unwind. • Gym and heated indoor pool, both kept spotless and perfect for a post-city exploration cooldown.

DDaphh02The Highlights 1. The location of this hotel is second to none. Right outside the door, you’ll find endless food options from quick bites to diverse international cuisines, plus plenty of cafés, bars, and public transport. Having the SkyBus stop to the airport just around the corner was convenient. 2. Every team member I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. They are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service. 3. The room itself was spacious and modern. Both the daytime city views and night lights from the window were wonderful, and the furnishings felt new and well-maintained. 4. Guests have access to some excellent facilities, including a gym, a library, and a full wellness area. The indoor pool is comfortably heated even on a chilly Melbourne evening, and it comes with a sauna and bubble spa, which makes the stay feel more like a resort. What Could Be Improved 1. The room setup felt unusual. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but was placed in a two-bedroom apartment with the master bedroom locked off. I completely understand that I only paid for one room, but it felt a little strange knowing there was a part of “my” room I couldn’t access. Personally, I would have preferred a proper one-bedroom layout with full access. 2. The bedroom I was 'allowed' to stay in also didn’t have its own air conditioning. It relied on the living room’s unit to keep cool, while the locked-off master had its system. This design made things a bit uncomfortable at times, especially overnight. 3. The sofa had an unpleasant, urine-like odour, which made us reluctant to rest in the lounge. 4. The main door lock was rusty and stiff, making it frustrating to open and close. 5. There was no landline phone in the room to contact reception, so the only option was to head downstairs. A couple of times, even during office hours, the reception was unattended (likely because one staff member was juggling multiple tasks). It could be so inconvenient to have a more extended stay. 6. While the pool facilities were lovely, they were often crowded. The common facilities are shared with residents of the building as well as hotel guests, but this detracted from the relaxing vibe. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably. Mainly because of the unbeatable location, the great facilities, and the friendly staff. But I do think the hotel needs to address the details so that it can align with what they claimed as 'luxury'.

GGuest UserI stayed at house 13 on March 10 2025, and there a gang of black people having a party over the night at house 12. I don't want to discrimate people and I used the word ”black” merely to describe that group of people that night. The music is very loud, and from time to time there are heavy drum beats which you can feel the vibration from the floor, and sometimes they knocked the wall of the townhouse separating house 13 / 12, and I supposed no one can sleep under this situation. Both my wife and me could not sleep but scared because they are young & strong black males. Finally we turned on the light at 2 a.m. and open the curtain to tell them to quiet from our 1/F balcony when 3 of them were arguing with a woman loudly in the common backyard. They ignored and continued! At 5 p.m. it's raining but I could not tolerate anymore, I went out to tell them silence please! A big tall black guy (not brown, very black) said ” I got you!”. Frankly speaking, I was a little bit scare., but what elase I could do?! When the reception open next day (house 1?), I complained and requested a change of room (actually house). The reception ladies are very friendly and they said they had reported the police twice that night for the noise is too loud & affecting many customers staying at different houses that night. But they do the same regardless the police warning. According to the reception, she had blacklisted this customer from booking the Quest hotel chain nationalwide (Australia) anymore. When I returned to the hotel the other day, I got a thank you card apologize for what had happened together with a bottle of wine for the inconvenience caused. Although I had a nightmare in this hotel, I think it is a one-off incident, and I will still recomend this service apartment.

DD SueAwesome location- close to office. Great team - only a bit frustrated was twice during reception time in morning, there should be someone there, he was not. First, in the morning at 8am but reception was not yet opened and had to wait for the person to arrive 15-20 mins, I called the number on the desk but it couldn’t go through and I was late for my next appointment. Others were waiting too. 2nd time, 10am I wanted to get my car park remote, waited another 15-20mins. Phone was not working as well. I was running late for my next appointment, and as I closed the lift door, I heard some voices. Went back there, and he was there. If the phone was working, great but both time when I really needed the team, they were not there. Reception team - Brian and Sarah was excellent for my pre-arrival questions/booking via both phone and email. Parking arrangements was awesome. Basement parking and lift goes up to your floor level. Corridor smells stale like student accommodation I used to live in from people cooking. Cleanliness was great. There’s mark on the walls and etc.. just like a student accommodation but for the price I am paying, I’m happy. Pets are allowed apparently as I saw dogs on reception area and heard from my balcony. The wall are sound proof so it’s awesome, thank goodness. I will still come back next time for location, service, convenience and it perfect for a short stay for my work. Internet, table to work, washing machine + dryer, u can cook if you like, just perfect for me. I’m out most of the time, so only back home to sleep. It’s perfect. I had park view but the blinds were see through. I can see out, hopefully ppl can’t see in and was conscious about that.

GGuest UserVery easy check in. Instructions by reception were spot on.  The one bedroom apartment was huge. Plenty of room with an equally huge balcony.  The place was clean, apart from one of the towels that had some type of hard black stain that stick do towels to it’s self. Not ideal, but this would be an issue with the laundry company that Quest use.  I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

GGuest UserNot recommended for those who value their personal data security and privacy. Not recommended for internati9nal travellers who may not have enough charge on their phones to complete 3 forms, then download and set up an app that requires constant internet and Bluetooth connections. Booking required multiple insecure methods of sharing credit card details and identification documents along with 2 forms to fill out with personal details and an app to download in order to gain access to the Building entrance, Elevator, and Apartment. None of this information was given to me prior to booking. I would not have stayed here if I had known the extent of insecure transmission of personal information and amount of admin and work required just to check in and stay one night. I work in this space and know the risks. Management is putting guests personal data at risks with the excessive documentation requests. FYI, requiring someone to send credit card PICTURES and ID pictures over email is completely insecure. This is bizarrely at odds with the excessive security to get into the building. The constant need to carry your phone everywhere or you'd be locked of the apartment or even the whole building was extremely stressful. In terms of the actual room, once I got in, the bed, kitchen, lounge and floors were clean but the toilet had not been cleaned in a long time. This was not nice. You could see parts under the rim had not been cleaned in years. Toilet had also been recently used and not flushed properly upon arrival. I did not take photos of any of this, it was too gross. I ended up buying paper cups as the glasses/cups as those supplied were not clean, tried to take a picture but it's hard to see. They were covered in fingerprints and fibres of some kind. The view was nice and loungeroom was great, study nook was extremely handy for remote work. Balcony tiles are moving and could be a tripping hazard. Laundry was well equipped but did not have time to use it.

GGuest UserA very ordinary apartment with average view and old facilities. A two-bedroom apartment costs RMB 1,500 per night, which is RMB 300 in China.

BBec143I’ve stayed at numerous at the Punt Hill apartments over the past decade, though it had been a while since I last stayed in one. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious, however the hotel is quite run down now. Walls in the bathroom weren’t very clean, neither were mugs and cutlery (I always make a habit of cleaning things before I use them!). I ended up staying mostly in the hotel as I was sick with the flu so I noticed the wifi was very glitchy and intermittent too so it made streaming shows quite difficult to watch that I ended up just using my phone. The beds were comfortable though! The location is actually fantastic too, right in the heart of China town and easily walkable to places.

GGuest UserHotel was in a good location good view . The rooms were clean but the balconies was in a terrible condition I don’t think it was ever cleaned and one of the balcony had bread crumbs like someone trying to feed the birds . The lift in that hotel stopped working as we were on there and we were in 7th floor, I visited with my parents who are old and had a joint problem it was really hard to climb all those stairs but they did not fixed that as it was weekend it was like that until we left the hotel on Sunday the lift stopped working on Saturday morning . It was hard to carry all those luggage downstairs.
