Amazing
LlymaWe had multiple issues with our 7 nights stay. Which some has been addressed and fixed immediately. One thing we do recommend to confirm check upon arrival or when booking. Lack of view - we’ve booked the 1 bedroom premium room. From the pictures it looked like floor to ceiling big windows with open view but we were assigned to a room situated in the heritage floors (2nd) which the windows are 1.5m high so have to tippy toes to see the view. Limited sunlight also, bathroom has no window. Issues we encountered 1) hall way light - wasn’t working on the first night when we checked in at 11pm. We couldn’t even find our room number cause it was so dark, we used the torch on our phone. Wasn’t a nice first impression if you are scared of dark hallways. The sensor was fixed the next day. 2) phone wasn’t working - so we couldn’t contact the front desk. We got in late with a toddler, so we put on ‘do not disturb’ sign but someone banged the door at 8am, to reach us to ‘fix the issues’. Not sure why can’t they just slip us a note under the door. 3) so many flies - the breakfast restaurant have serious pest issues. There were more than 10 flies flying around the buffet and the tables. We didn’t feel comfortable eating there after one visit. The whole duration of the meal, we were waiving off the fly. Major hygiene concern! 4) housekeeping was very average, barely cleaned the room daily. Only made the bed. 5) overall the staff were all friendly, special appreciation to the male staff at the breakfast room. The lady duty manager didn’t seem friendly, carries an attitude and likes to talk over you. Location is great, round the corner from the tram line. Will I stay again, most likely not. Feels more like a 4 star hotel, definitely not 5 star.

GGuest UserMy daughter rated this as the most beautiful hotel she's ever stayed in, and it's right by the river. The German restaurant across the street is fantastic. It's also very close to a supermarket, and there's a park not far away where you might spot some rainbow lorikeets.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is a bit old, but its location is a big plus – super convenient for shopping! The bed was comfy and soft, and the in-room facilities were well-equipped. No one offered to help with luggage, and the hotel has two entrances, but the staff didn't tell me which one was easier for catching a ride. When I came back by taxi, they didn't open the door for me, but when my friends dropped me off, they were very enthusiastic, opened the car door, and greeted us!

GGuest UserIf you’re looking for a stylish, central place to stay in Melbourne, Quay West Suites delivers in all the important areas. 📍 Prime Location Quay West’s address on Flinders Lane puts you right in the heart of everything. A few steps takes you to the iconic Yarra River, Federation Square, and Melbourne’s best shopping and café districts. Whether you’re in town for business, arts, or dining, having public transport, laneways, and nightlife within easy walking distance is a huge convenience. ✨ Impeccable Cleanliness From the moment you enter the foyer, the high standard of cleanliness across public areas and suites is clear. Plush carpets, sparkling bathrooms, and neatly made beds—everything felt fresh and immaculate throughout my stay. Housekeeping did a flawless job refreshing the room each day without ever interrupting my schedule. 👨💼 Friendly, Attentive Service Customer service here is both professional and warm. Front desk staff greeted me by name and were quick to offer directions, recommend hidden-gem eateries, and help with luggage. Room service was punctual, meals were presented beautifully, and every staff interaction made me feel genuinely welcome—not just another guest. 🧭 Thoughtful Facilities It’s the little things at Quay West that stand out: • A well-equipped kitchenette in each suite––perfect for a relaxing breakfast or a quick late-night snack. • In-room laundry facilities saved me from hunting down laundromats mid-trip. • The comfortable lounge and communal spaces offer a quiet place to work or unwind. • Gym and heated indoor pool, both kept spotless and perfect for a post-city exploration cooldown.

GGuest UserDear Hotel Management Team, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at the Pullman Melbourne on the Park, and I wish to lodge a formal complaint. During my stay, I encountered the following issues: 1. **Inadequate Room Preparation** * The mini-bar in my room was completely empty. * I had booked a twin room, but was provided with a king room, which did not match my reservation. 2. **Unprofessional and Unhelpful Service from Front Desk Staff Member Chris** * When I reported that the QR code for in-room dining was not working, she merely suggested I go to the bar to order, without attempting to resolve the QR code issue or offering an alternative. Upon going to the bar, I was informed that food service only began after 12 PM, and it was approximately 9 AM at the time. This meant I was unable to obtain any food or beverage service. * When I reported that the TV in my room was not working, she simply responded with ”ok.” She did not inform me that maintenance would be arranged, nor did she provide any timeframe. Consequently, a maintenance person entered or knocked on my door without prior notification while I was showering, which made me feel very uncomfortable and disturbed. The aforementioned issues severely impacted my stay and fell far short of my basic expectations for your hotel brand. I look forward to your response.

GGuest UserService: The service was great, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. They even asked if I had a preferred room number or numbers I wanted to avoid, which was very considerate. Environment: However, the overall room size was very small. The room I was given seemed to be a disabled-access room, with a very large bathroom, but I didn't like that there were so many rooms on that floor. Facilities: There's a gym and a swimming pool, but the pool is tiny, almost not suitable for actual swimming. The hotel entrance is a bit hard to find, located in what's essentially an alley. But the surrounding area is quite lively, with plenty of coffee shops and shopping options.

GGuest UserI was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, and my first day was great. The pool facilities were excellent, and I even had the whole pool to myself when I went for a swim. However, on the second day, when I returned to my room at 10:30 PM, it hadn't been cleaned at all. There was just a sign saying to notify them if I needed housekeeping. Seriously, at 10:30 PM, do I have time to wait for them to clean a room that hasn't been touched, with nothing moved? I'm extremely disappointed with W's service. This isn't even peak season for the hotel, why wasn't the room cleaned? Is it because they knew I was only staying two nights, so they treat a solo guest like this? I can't accept it. I don't even bother calling to complain anymore.

GGuest UserThis is an older five-star hotel with decent service. Its location is similar to Tsim Sha Tsui East in Hong Kong – quiet, with many famous shops, bars, and Western restaurants nearby. However, you'll notice a lot of tourists around when you step outside. The breakfast is pretty good and acceptable, offering standard fare like bread, eggs, coffee, cheese, ham, and fruit – all the daily essentials. The main drawback is that the hotel is too close to the two adjacent buildings. There are very few rooms with a view; most rooms get little to no sunlight throughout the day and require the curtains to be drawn almost constantly. The bathroom is particularly bad. The shower screen only covers half the area, so water inevitably splashes all over the floor, making it a mess. This means you often have to use bath towels to dry the floor, leading to constantly wet carpets and very dirty towels in the long run.

GGuest UserFor my 21-day trip to Australia, I stayed in 11 hotels across Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide. Here's my ranking of the best to worst experiences (with value for money considered): 1. Capella Sydney (low value for money) 2. Park Hyatt Melbourne (high value for money) 3. InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto (medium value for money) 4. Crown Towers Melbourne (high value for money) 5. Le Méridien Melbourne (medium value for money) 6. Hilton Adelaide (medium value for money) 7. The Langham Melbourne (low value for money) 8. Citadines on Bourke Melbourne (best value for money) 9. Meriton Suites Waterloo, Sydney (high value for money) 10. Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel Melbourne (low value for money) 11. The Hotel Windsor Melbourne (worst value for money) Now, let's talk about the InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto. Like The Windsor, it's a heritage hotel, and its beauty is undeniable. It truly looks like a 19th-century Neo-Gothic Venetian castle! Located in the heart of Collins Street, it's one of InterContinental's most luxurious heritage hotels worldwide. When you stay here, you can't help but spend time exploring, as both the exterior and interior decor are magnificent, and the room facilities are top-notch. It's definitely worth a stay.
