Leonardo Hotel Exeter ★★★★
"I stayed with my partner for 2 nights, and it was an enjoyable stay. The beds are very comfortable, but duvets are too hot for this time of year. The shower is awkward and and is a bit small but good pressure. The overall space of the room is great for the size."
Holiday Inn Express EXETER - CITY CENTRE by IHG ★★★
"The rooms are clean and tidy, and the facilities are well-equipped. The location is excellent, making it convenient to walk to various parts of the city center. The only downside is that the parking fee is too expensive. It would be perfect if the parking were more affordable."
Exeter Court Hotel ★★★
"Wish the room had aircon! All staff brilliant. Will definitely revisit. Perfect for our 2 day stay for a wedding nearby. Food in restaurant excellent"
Exeter Rougemont hotel by Sunday ★★★★
"Wonderful experience with quick check in"
Travelodge Exeter M5 ★★★
"On arrival at Travelodge M5 Exeter I discovered that I had booked the wrong date, I was a week early and the hotel was fully booked. Carla, a sympathetic, efficient and helpful receptionist found us a room at another travelodge for an extra £40 charge. I was very grateful for her kind assistance as she really helped me out when I was very tired after a long drive. Carla is a wonderful ambassador for travelodge hotels."
Hotel Indigo EXETER by IHG ★★★★
"We stayed in two King rooms with balconies as a family and overall the hotel has a lot going for it. The location is fantastic — right in the heart of Exeter, perfect for walking everywhere. The hotel itself looks great, especially the sky bar on the top floor. The views are excellent, the drinks are very good, and the service up there was genuinely friendly and attentive. We also grabbed some nibbles in the downstairs restaurant and both the food and service were solid. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the balconies were a nice touch. Everything felt modern and comfortable. The only real downside — and it’s a big one — is the front desk service. For a hotel at this price point (and especially as an IHG property), it really let the whole place down. The staff were slow, not particularly knowledgeable (and I hate to add, not the "quickest"), and quite short/rude at times. We were told when checking in that we’d get late checkout as IHG members, but when we returned later a different staff member had no idea what we were talking about and seemed confused about how to handle it. She eventually offered only one room until 12pm, which after a 3pm check-in really doesn’t feel like proper late checkout. We travel a lot and the front desk experience here was noticeably below standard. The rest of the hotel (rooms, bar, restaurant, location) is genuinely good, but the poor front-of-house service is what we’ll remember most. Would I stay again? Probably, because of the location and the rooms, but I really hope they sort out the front desk training and attitude."
White Hart, Exeter by Marston's Inns ★★★
"Great stay. Helpful staff"
Premier Inn Exeter (M5 J29) ★★★
"Excellent stay thankyou. The room was flawless, incredibly peaceful and had all the amenities we required - especially the aircon during the heatwave! The check in was simple and we found it easy to come and go when needed. The location was really well placed for us, not too far from the centre of Exeter by car and very useful to have Starbucks, Dominoes and Subway across the road."
The Grange Court B&B Hotel ★★★

The Devon Hotel
"Checkin could have been better, had to fill all details on tablet but these details already provided on booking I presume. Good food service, nice steak. Convenient for our appointment next morning nearby. Would probably stay again if in the area."
The Ley Arms
"Lovely room . Fantastic shower . Huge comfy bed . Lots of thoughtful touches in the room . Great breakfast and excellent service .Pretty village - convenient for Exeter . We were running late and they were very helpful allowing us to order dinner before checking in etc ."
St Andrews Hotel
"Overall good experience, however it was surprising to see no handwashing liquid at the bathroom sink. I had to use the body wash as an alternative."
Townhouse Exeter
"Behind us is David's Church and a small area of tombstones. It was a bit scary to see them when we arrived at night, but I participated in church activities during the day, and understood the local culture. I also found the culture shock quite interesting. In the following days, I would walk through the cemetery to take a shortcut."
Mill on the Exe
"We had booked for one night - would have been great to stay longer. The room was really lovely - spacious with a view of the river. Food was good - we had lunch and dinner there - and we had a really good night's sleep in the extremely comfortable bed."
The Exeter Inn
"The food was fine and the service OK, but be aware that the menu and pricing are nothing like what’s on their website. We went in based on what we saw on the website, and the menu was much more limited than we expected (themed nights), and the food somewhat more expensive."
Woodleigh Coach House
"We stopped here for a bite to eat on the way to our accommodation. The service was super friendly, fast and the quality of food was great."
The Globe
"The location and friendly, helpful staff were excellent. The food quality was as good as the most expensive restaurants we have dined at. The price of the food was less than charged by many other restaurants. Well done The Globe,we will return."
South View Lodges
"This location ticked all our boxes when booking: fishing holiday for husband's 50th, relaxing for me with hot tub and quiet location. Jill and Andrew were welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble (not that we had many queries). First let me stay considering it is so close to Exeter. Although opened 2 years ago, the decor was as pristine as the website images. Both bedrooms were beautifully decorated, with comfy beds and en-suite bathrooms and had underfloor heating throughout the property. The lounge, dining area and kitchen were all nicely decorated and had everything that you needed for the comforts from home. The outside seating and hot tub were undercover so even when it did rain, we could enjoy it still. The fishing was everything my husband hoped for, catching 10+ fish each day. And to add to our enjoyment, we had alpacas in the field next to us. They came to watch us each day and we took advantage to go feed them one day: the boys, the girls and the babies. All too cute, and an Devon Show Awarding male as well! A treat. A great holiday and everything we wanted from it! "
Hotel du Vin Exeter

Southernhay House Hotel
"A lovely break with my best friend, and it was excellent from start to finish. Staff here are an asset for sure, very welcoming and we felt really looked after. Loved our room and the style of the whole place. Great location and so convenient for the centre. Our room was above the bar, but noise was minimal and not too late in any event. Classy, thoughtful and we loved it. Tasty breakfast too. Highly recommended!"
