The welcome hamper includes goodies from local producers and the cottage handbook is stuffed full of local walks, maps, recommendations, farmers markets, local beaches, cycle routes, and visitor attractions and anything else I think might be helpful, such as how to look after the chickens! Ideal for families getting together to explore all that Devon has to offer, from local walks around the farmland and train line, for walking on Dartmoor or the South West Coast Path, cycling in the Teign Valley, kayaking the rivers, Go Ape at nearby Haldon Forest Park, or spending a day on the many local beaches or the moor. This is the perfect location for getting away from it all, without being too far off the beaten track. Central Exeter is 2 miles away, with its mainline train station only 2 hours from central London. Several beaches are within half an hour. Dartmoor National Park is just 7 miles (15 mins).
