he location inside the medina, close to the Blue Gate, restaurants, taxis, tour pick ups, cash machine, etc but also within walking distance of the depths of the medina (tannery, mausoleum, madrassa, etc). It's very easy to find once you get your head around its location within the medina. Very friendly and accommodating staff, always eager to help. Beautiful riad with different areas at different levels to just sit and relax, listening to the water fountain that sits at the centre of one of the courtyards. It also has a lovely roof terrace where breakfast is served every morning. Our room was on the 1st floor and had a lovely balcony overlooking the main courtyard. Courtesy water, dates and nuts awaited our arrival. Breakfast was limited to a traditional Moroccan but it was still nice. I've seen bad reviews regarding stairs. I agree the stairs were a bit steep to navigate at times, but every building I entered in Fez was the same or even worse. For me, it only added to its authenticity and charm.
