Anniversary break just me and hubby. Nice quiet location we stayed in 28 birch court. Silver caravan. Comfy bed memory foam mattress. Good shower pressure and temperature. Good positioned caravan for sun on varander. Basic kitchen but well equipped. Frying pan a bit scratched. Both TVs needed retuning as bad signal and seemed batteries may have been running low as difficult to turn off. We ordered food from cooks delivered to caravan. It was delivered on time for time slot selected but disappointed with size of fish, quite pricey. Also used slim chickens. Excellent chicken, delivery. Best chicken we've tasted. We ventured off park also for food in Hunmanby at The Pie Bald Inn. Pricey but huge portion of pie and if you don't finish you can box up the rest to take away.

We have just returned from a 3 night Christmas break at Primrose valley. We were lucky enough to have been given an upgrade on caravan when we arrived we had originally booked a saver but was upgraded to Ash Grove no.6 which was a silver. Caravan was very clean on arrival, lovely to have a Christmas tree in the caravan all lit up when we walked in. We cannot fault anything with it. Entertainment was brilliant for the kids, the entertainment staff really did put on a great show every night. The Aladdin pantomime was amazing my 7 year old loved it. We went swimming for 2 days pool was clean even though it was busy it was too busy plenty of changing rooms, lockers needed 20p to lock them this is slightly different to the other sites we have been to which we £1 so we had to get some change from the life guard, other than that no issues. We paid to do the reindeer food making that was great for the kids also paid to see Santa, and wow the staff and Santa himself were brilliant, my 7 year old came out saying he was the real one!!! Amusements are good lots of variety. We would highly recommend a Christmas visit to Primrose valley ⭐️

Place far to big & was placed well away from everything. Booked a two bed bronze caravan was given a three bedroom bronze instead. Couldn't swing a cat in the bedrooms & the dust behind the bedside cabinets was unreal. No oven trays in kitchen.

Stayed here for a long, off peak, weekend and had a nice stay. Stayed in 107 Oak Meadows - Caravan was clean and tidy as was the site as a whole. Van was quite close proximity to the main centre (5mins) and had it's own car parking space. Unfortunately the television in the van didn't work at all (couldn't pick up any channels) and the heating was a little temperamental but who watches telly on holiday?! We ate at the on site Wetherspoons for the first night which we thought was expensive pricing compared to our local Wetherspoons (or the one that was about 5 miles away). Food was nice enough but I think they were rationing the portions! We had Burger King the second night which we had delivered at no extra cost direct to the van. Delivery was quick and efficient however this service does not deliver ice creams and all drinks are bottled, assuming so that they couldn't be spilled? As it was Haven Hideaway we didn't have access to the evening entertainment or the pool which was fine. Overall, enjoyable stay and the site is a great base (roughly 1 hour drive) to visit York or in the other direction Whitby. Much closer are the puffins at Bempton Cliffs(15mins) and a lovely day out on Filey beach (5mins). Scarborough is around 20mins away. All great days out.

my partner put the heating on in the bedroom so ensure my 4 month year old toddler stayed warm. The heating did not work at all. I mentioned this to reception after initially complaining about cleanliness who told me to raise it when the caseworker gets to my complaint. The caseworker then proceeds to say oh no report was filed, when their receptionist told me to raise it then. Poor communication between different departments. The lifeguard on duty allowed anyone to barge down the slide even when my 2 year old daughter had just went down, the large boy narrowly missed her. The lifeguard stated there was nothing he could do and gave me attitude back, it is his job to make sure people are safe at the pool. The swimming pools floor was filthy, the changing facilities were just as bad. After contacting Haven all they did was apologise. Nothing more nothing less. Overall a dirty place. Avoid Primrose Valley and opt for another Haven park, Blue Dolphin is close by. Please don't waste your money at this place, although we encountered some staff who were friendly, the attitudes of those I've dealt with totally ruined the place. Location is by the beach which is all it really has going for it.

I don't usually write reviews but I wanted to thank Sue in the reception for the help she gave me about confusion over my caravan. The caravan she gave me to stay in for the weekend is absolutely beautiful. Kindness goes along way. This is the 2nd time I've been to primrose this year the first with my children this time I'm staying in the caravan solo. I don't want to leave it's that nice. The staff are friendly. The park is the perfect time to visit and I'm debating coming back for a 3rd time at christmas. Don't be put of by bad reviews honestly it's people nit picking it's so lovely thanks again ☺️

Positives: - Caravan was nice a clean and tidy upon arrival - customer service very good and issues resolved in a timely fashion - access to the beach was good and easy compared to other sites (although I would say it's probably still a bit hard for anyone with disabilities to access) - entertainment was great and the kids loved it - we ate out most nights and food was lovely, especially the lakehouse, there was quite a lot of choice of different types of food to eat - swimming pools were good as well especially having 2 different ones was a nice extra touch - bus service into Scarborough easily accessible Negatives: - upon arrival we found that our oven did not work, I did try to ring reception to see if someone would take a look at it as we brought food to cook however the line kept hanging up. I ended up having to go to the reception the next day to let them know of the issue. I feel this could have been avoided if a basic check of everything is done alongside of the cleaning and issues reported then - lighting on the main pathways going to the entertainment area and the lake house is terrible, we were walking back from the lake house and could not see the path we were walking on as it was pitch black. There is lighting there however they are not focused on the path and roads. This needs to be changed as it does not feel safe walking down these paths at night especially when you have cars speeding up and down - everything felt just a little too expensive around the main entertainment area especially when I think back to other campsites I go to. I understand that things would be more expensive on the campsite compared to say normal but the prices felt like they crossed a line to being a bit exploitive. I wouldn't strictly say the same about when we ate at the lakehouse I felt it was good value there when we ate there - play parks compared to other sites are really lacking as well, not a lot there for kids to play on and one of them was covered in bark which was waterlogged one day we went other for the kids to play - although the general cleanliness of the site was great I can not say the same about the swimming pool changing rooms, both we went to were absolutely disgusting when we went swimming with mud all over, lockers dirty etc - although this is more personal opinion, we booked a couple of activities and these were done in the showbar with a lot of other families (I would say at least 25+) although this isn't too bad I felt it lacked the personal touch we have gotten at others when they have typically been smaller (5-10 families). The entertainers were great during these activities though Conclusion: Overall we had a great time here and would come back and would recommend to others. Tips: - bring your own food to cook or you will be spending a lot of money - take the bus into Scarborough, it's a great day out with plenty to do there - if you do have issues it's probably best to go to the reception rather than trying to
