I was worried when I read the reviews at first, but other places are either far away or super expensive. When I arrived, I found that it was okay, it was an old-fashioned European hotel, the room was unexpectedly large, and the sanitation was also good. The sound insulation is poor. There is actually a swimming pool, and the mushrooms for breakfast are very delicious. The child said he was very satisfied.

Located in the centre of Fort William it was very convenient for walking to our trip on the Jacobite steam train. Decor nice and quirky But - and a big but - the rooms are teeny-tiny. I’m used to staying in ‘metro’ hotels but this a whole new level of small. You can barely walk round the bed - we had a superior king-size room, supposedly. No wardrobe - just a couple of hangers on the wall. If you sit on the loo in the tiny bathroom, the sink is over your knees. Hardly room to turn round for £180 a night. Nice view over a car park being built but it was quiet at the back of the hotel (notwithstanding the noisy guests in adjacent rooms). Decent breakfast and nice staff just about rescued it.

An old hotel, fairly clean. Beautiful appearance. Enthusiastic Filipino and Indian waiters. The bed, bedside table, table, and sofa in the room look like products from the 1980s in my country. The bed in the family room is relatively wider than other places. (Most beds in British hotels are narrow)

Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's ”aged”. Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying ”gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it”.

The environment is very good, the location is easy to find, right by the lake, and the breakfast is a typical English breakfast. We booked a family room for 2 nights. Room wasn't ready when we checked in at 3pm. Room did not look like any of the website photos as it seems there are no photos of the family rooms on the website. The room was very basic - only 2 coat hangers for 6 beds. Double bed against wall is not a comfortable option as you have to climb over partner to get in and out of bed. No chairs or anywhere to sit. TV doesn't have signal and there's nowhere to sit and watch it from anyway. Very slow wi-fi, so almost impossible to cast to TV. The emergency exit light on the ceiling was taped up. The kettle is not big enough for more than 2 people at a time, and it doesn't fit into the tiny sink to fill. View of car park - not the mountain or forest view as advertised. All in all the room was adequate for our stay but hugely over priced for what it was. The Nevis Range Bar was disappointing too, mainly because they weren't serving the full menu but you aren't made aware of that when you book. The toilets in the main facility needed cleaning, no loo roll or soap. It seemed that they had't been attended to the whole weekend we were there.

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

It is a very old hotel, the hotel should be refurbished, just fine. However, there is no elevator, which is a bit inconvenient. The hotel is very tasteful. I feel that I can take a good look at the stairs. The windows all have a little history, but they are still clean. The toilet is very light, it is not bad. Because I saw the evaluation before going to the general, I felt that it was worth it. The restaurant is very good, the price is OK, the sirlion steak is super delicious, staying in the UK for so long, is the best sirloin I have ever eaten, I ordered the medium rare, superb, the chef is very good. Hey, I also saw the black cat in the hotel, very cute. It feels like a good experience, and the breakfast buffet is also excellent.

In fact, Glencoe Canyon does not have a fixed attraction. After coming from Lomond Lake and entering the mountains, every viewpoint is an attraction. There are two visit centers along the way, and the scenery is not as good as the view point. However, the most beautiful attraction in Glencoe Canyon is actually in this hotel. The hotel is located on the peninsula in the lake, the peninsula is more than 10 meters above the lake surface, the mountains and rivers, large areas of bluebells, the hotel hidden in the landscape, a picture of a paradise. Walk around the peninsula, take pictures, and watch the sunset, which is very enjoyable. Free parking lot, the room size is too big, the facilities inside are good, clean and sanitary. Warm service and good breakfast. Two-story building without elevator.

GGuest UserWe were looking for accommodation in the Lochaber area as a base for a kayaking weekend, and Corran bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Everything is good quality, and the rooms are clean and functional - ours had a nice ensuite too. There is a large common room with comfy seating and a log burner which was a nice place to relax, but we usually ended up sitting in the communal dining kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could need to make from snacks to big meals, and there was plenty of food storage and fridge space. Plenty of space to sit and eat too. A really big plus was the two drying rooms, one off the kitchen which had a dehumidifier, and another outside, which allowed lots of wet gear to be dried quickly - a real bonus if you're there for a few days. The owner Alan couldn't be more helpful, and gave us tips on the best places to eat wherever we were going. I can thoroughly recommend getting the ferry over to Ardgour to the pub for food. A minute from the bunkhouse, its free for foot passengers, the crossing takes about 5 minutes, and is a nice way to go to dinner. Overall i cant recommend the place highly enough. A modern, clean and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.
GGuest UserWe stayed at the Factors Inn for 5 nights, we used it as a base for travelling, from there we visited Oban, Malaig and Skye, overall we were quite happy with our stay, we had a superior room with a lovely big comfortable bed, tea coffee making facilities a sofa, coffee table and not a bad sized TV it was dog friendly this is great for us and our dog, you can catch a bus just outside on the main road into Fort William or use the local A&A reliable taxi service that we used a couple of times, the only negatives I can think of are the the Bathroom was quite dated, but having said that it didn’t affect our stay, and at check in we were asked if we would like to book breakfast at the Castle but they do NOT allow dogs in the Castle so we declined, had a delicious breakfast and evening meals just within 10/15 min walk along the cycle/walk path just across the road from Factors to the Golf club/Caddy Shack restaurant & Bar thats ran by a lovely couple that can’t do enough for you. Overall our stay was a nice one and we would go back and stay there.
YYiu Wai RaymondThe location is remote but the environment of this location is quiet. Therefore, it is still valuable to live at the place.
We have taken the dinner at the centre. All the foods were delicious and excellent and the price was quite reasonable.
I will select this accommodation if we go to highland again.
谢谢Beautiful environment, great scenery, excellent value for money, good staff service, well-equipped rooms, great location, pets can stay, next time you will choose to stay.
