Furano Lofts

Our family of 4, including two young kids, had an absolutely amazing time at the Furano Lofts, thanks to the incredibly gracious hospitality of Leon and Tim and their immaculate attention to detail at the property. Furano is a fantastic destination to enjoy epic Japanese powder skiing conditions without much of the commercialism and crowds of other resort tows. As much as we enjoyed our time, what really stuck out in my mind that exemplifies the high standard of service at Furano Lofts was something they did for another guest. Each evening when we returned from dinner to the property on the resort shuttle, we always saw a small wood-burning fire lit in front of a stand at the edge of the property. I wondered what the purpose of that fire was: ritual? functional? cosmetic? Finally one day we thought to ask Leon, and he told us the story. The lovely couple staying in one of the other townhouses are evidently regulars and come annually for an extended stay. The husband is a smoker (always exceedingly respectful), and on his first visit, Leon and Tim noticed that he seemed to get quite chilly standing in the evening sub-freezing temperatures whilst enjoying his cigarettes. So, unprompted by the guest, the staff purchased a small fire pit which they clean, replenish, and light nightly to make his evening smoking sessions more comfortable while staying there. It is this level of thoughtful consideration for their guests that is the hallmark of Furano Lofts and why we look forward to visiting again soon!

Wonderful stay! The apt was designed impeccably, with thoughtful details and had everything we needed for a week’s stay. Bed was super comfy! Not only was the apt great, services from Leon, Tim and the team are top notch! They helped me find and arrange a bday cake for a special occasion. Plus gave us lots of tips and suggestions about the area. Walking distance to the Kitanomine slopes are not far, shuttle services to and from the slopes are offered on demand and so convenient! My family of 7 stayed there in July 2024. The chalet we booked had 4 rooms and 3 bathrooms. The chalet was impeccably maintained. We can tell the owner takes special pride in his property. Leon and Tim were excellent hosts. We were so warmed by their hospitality. They gave very good suggestions for food and sightseeing. They even went out of their way to help us find suitable restaurants for booking at the last minute which we really appreciate. Overall, they made us feel like we were staying in a close relative's home. Would love to visit again another time.

If you appreciate the privacy and spaciousness of a luxury serviced apartment, but would also like the reassurance of a concierge service, this is the place. We spent two weeks here at the start of the ski season (Dec 2023 to Jan 2024), in the beautifully-appointed two-bedroom Yama townhouse. Everything was superbly maintained and spotless, with the dedicated housekeeping team coming by at just the right intervals. From the washer-dryer to coffee machine to a humidifier in the dining area, there were many thoughtful design decisions to grant us every convenience and comfort. We were cosy even when temperatures outside dropped to -18 degrees Celsius, slept deeply in the generous king-sized bed, and appreciated the bathtub for a soak after a day of skiing. Not to mention the privilege of Furano Loft's own onsen at one's doorstep, available upon booking! From initial enquiries and all throughout our stay, Leon and Tim were always thoughtful and warm. Their professionalism, kind gestures, and local insider knowledge made this long-awaited trip that much more special and memorable. Whether it was the welcome basket of locally-sourced goodies, a detailed and considerate tour of the loft's amenities, restaurant recommendations/reservations, pick-ups and drop-offs, and even helping with an early order of ski passes... It was the human touch that elevated an already outstanding place to stay. We had to visit the hospital during our trip, and Leon and Tim's assistance allowed this unexpected incident to pass with ease. Location-wise, Furano Lofts is an enjoyable 7 minute walk to the Kitanomine ski slopes, 1 minute from the famous Furano Delice, and 3 minutes from the exquisite Bistro Le Chemin. We infinitely preferred this to staying closer to the slopes-- instead of stepping out onto icy roads, we opened our door each day to the peace and calm of snow-laden trees. You might even be visited by a certain plump squirrel! We have stayed in many lovely hotels, but Furano Lofts easily ranks amongst the best. Looking forward to our next visit!

This would have to be one of the most immaculately kept and well-run holiday apartments anywhere in the world. It is modern, tastefully furnished, and is incredibly clean. We felt like we were the first guests to occupy our one bedroom apartment, which had a good-sized bathroom, a workable kitchenette, a roomy bedroom with hanging space and drawers for clothes storage, beautiful bedding, and a generously sized lounge/dining area. The complex also has a beautiful onsen, which two people can share in complete privacy. Wonderful. It was our home in the snow for a week; close enough to walk to restaurants in the Kitanomine area, just down the road from the local bus stop for those wanting to take the short journey down to Furano town, and an easy walk to the Kitanomine base and gondola for those not wanting to use the apartment’s free shuttle service to and from your day on the slopes. For those self-driving, there is free parking available on site at your apartment door. The hosts, Leon and Tim were so helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. Advice on local attractions and restaurants, help making reservations, de-snowing our car in the morning … nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed at a large number of accommodation establishments in ski fields across Japan over the last 25 years, and this place is one of the best.

This is an amazing place - extremely well-appointed with great art and furnishings. Most importantly, the level of service provided by Leon and Tim is way above expectations. For those going skiing this place is very close to the skiing area and there is a shuttle service too and from the lifts. I can't recommend this place enough
