I am all in favour of quaint hotels that have character and charm but this hotel smelt so stale and fusty , it just didn’t feel clean. We paid £274 for two nights which didn’t include breakfast .. I understand it is very old but that’s not an excuse for the horrible smell which makes it feel very unclean. Our room had the same stale , fusty smell. It is not somewhere I would want to stay again."

The staff and the management could not have been more accommodating to us and so relaxed, from booking restaurants, excursions and taxis any time we asked. "Stayed for 4 nights in August. Lovely clean apartments with everything you could possibly need. Spa and pool area is one of the nicest I’ve ever been too. Very large pool, sauna, steam room, plunge pool and hot tub. Very close to the beach. Downstairs restaurant is delicious for breakfast and dinner. Very friendly service. Casemates square is about a 20 minute walk away with great eateries, bars and the Main Street is just around the corner from it. We would definitely stay again as we had a great holiday."
