Harry & Mimin Homestay

This is one of the best homestays we had in Sulawesi. Harry & Mimin can help organize tours such as snorkelling with whale sharks, a cooking lesson (recommended!) and onward transport including the Togean Island boat. Although rooms are basic that's all that you need. Upon arrival after the night ferry they arranged breakfast for us.

Mimin was a great help in organizing our trip through North Sulawesi; friendly, open-minded and absolutely reliable. Our stay in Mimin's simple but very clean homestay and the visit to the whale sharks we planned at short notice will remain very vivid in our memories. I would recommend this homestay to anyone who travels to Gorontalo. The place is clean and safe. Harry and Mimin are welcoming and friendly. Harry can show you around and gave me so many recommendations for Gorontalo and the rest of my trip in Sulawesi. Amazing place for the money you are paying!

Harry and Mimin Homestay was recommended to me by the resort I was traveling to as a spot to stay in Gorontalo and as a travel agent to make local flight, ferry and excursion arrangements. I stayed 2 times at the homestay and I am so happy that I did. The cottage was clean and comfortable with good wifi and AC. However, the best part was the location in a family compound where I could get a feeling for Indonesian life and culture. I felt very welcome and privileged to be included. Even more impressive was Mimin's handling of whatever travel challenges arose. Her travel arrangements were thorough and when changes had to be made (in my experience a regular occurrence in Indonesia) Mimin had the local knowledge and insight to navigate any necessary adjustment. Additionally, her kindness and commitment to offering the best possible service was unparalleled in my prior travels. I recommend this business without reservation; Mimin's assistance made my trip much better than it would have otherwise been.

We had such a nice time at Harry & Mimin homestay. We ended up staying here for 3 nights with this beautiful warm and welcoming family. We had a nice family tour to see the walesharks and a great local cooking class, with lots of Joy and Laughter. They took really good care of us and gave us the real family feeling! It's not luxurious, but you probably won't go to Gorontalo for a luxurious vacation. (I came to swim with whale sharks) The room are clean, it's not expensive but the best thing about this homestay are Harry and mimim. They are very friendly, speak English and can help you with everything you need. You will feel welcome and the atmosphere between guests is very nice. I would recommend this homestay to everyone!
