Environment: Facing the Eiger Mountain, it is very comfortable to have a leisurely dinner on the balcony. When you come down the first hill by scooter, you will pass by this hotel, so it is convenient to go upstairs to put your things down and take a rest. Just be sure to take the bus when you come here with luggage. Although it’s a 20-minute walk, it’s all uphill and it’s super tiring! ! Hygiene: Hygiene is very good. The water from the tap is direct drinking water, both hot and cold. The breakfast is good with a wide variety. There is a bicycle room downstairs.

Left this great guest house today having spent the last 3 nights here. The hotel is spotlessly clean, with a big comfy bed and a spacious room. Small en-suite in the room with a sliding glass door and small privacy panel. The views from the room are breathtaking and you couldn’t feel any closer to the mountains. 10 mins walk into town but a bus stop directly outside the hotel - use of the us is free with your guest card. Towels supplied and hairdryer is good handheld dryer. Continental breakfast and the breakfast room is great with a good selection of choices. Car park outside the hotel at a small charge with plenty of spaces. Connie and Benny were lovely and welcoming and gave us some great recommendations

This was our 4th stay at this hotel. I have been on a ski trip 3 times and was here with friends once in Summer. It is a great place to be when you are visiting Grindelwald for skiing or summer. * First of all I would like to mention the owners Beni and Conny, are amazing people. Friendly and are able to help you out with all the advice about ski slopes and also hiking trails. If you want to head out into mountains, they are best people to get advice in the morning. You won't get this in big hotels. * There is a bus stop right next to the hotel. * It is only 10-15 minute walk to the town so nice to walk in the evening for dinner * Nice and quiet location far from crowded town centre * Great views from rooms towards Eiger Surely our go-to place every time we are in Grindelwald. TIP : 1. Make sure you book restaurants atleast one day in advance, everything gets busy in evening. 2. Get your ski passes right from hotel reception to avoid queues at the lifts 3. Avoid "Onkel Tom" Pizzeria unless you want to wait till death.

This hotel was fantastic. The view from the room was unbeatable. The breakfast was delicious. The owners were very kind and helpful. The room was cozy and extremely clean. We stayed 4 nights and wished we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to be back one day!

Total gem! I found the Lauberhorn by a very happy accident. Loved it so much that my "last-minute, just for tonight" booking turned into 3 nights. Cozy and modern, it's like a boutique-style inn. I took the smallest room available — which somehow fit a large bed, desk/table, two chairs, bench, ample shelving, + bathroom facilities — and still felt spacious. And wow: the view was spectacular. RIGHT FROM THE BED. Room and common areas were beautiful and cozy, breakfast is super-satisfying (large array of breads, cereals, yogurts, hot and cold drinks, fruits, meats, cheeses, produce — and Conny's homemade Müsli is out of this world!), and everyone — owners, cleaning staff, and breakfast attendants — is so friendly. Furthermore, their advice on where to eat, hike, etc. is invaluable. There are also free conveniences, such as tea at certain hours, a microwave and a kettle in common areas, a small library, walking sticks, etc. Plus, every inch of the hotel is spotless. As for location, it's about a 25-min. walk from the train station, and largely uphill after downtown. BUT the bus stops often, right in front of the hotel parking lot. Also, being outside of downtown means unobstructed mountain views. And the hotel is a few short minutes from downtown anyway. Unbeatable location. I would recommend this place 1000 times. Bright; lovely; cozy; STUNNING scenery; great breakfast; and wonderfully friendly people. One of my favorite hotels ever. I already dream of coming back.

Spent a week here from 16th Feb to 23rd Feb 2022 and thoroughly enjoyed everything. Right from the start with email conversations regarding bookings everything was first rate. After travelling all day Benni kindly picked us up from the Banhof. Our room was spotless and had everything you could want with great views from the balcony. Breakfast was very good with fruit, yogurt , eggs ,cheese ,ham, all varieties of bread and an excellent coffee machine. It was also good that the hosts took time to speak to guests during breakfast. I hired skis from Benni and we were able to purchase lift passes from the hotel. Overall a great experience and one we would repeat should we visit the area in the summer time. Thank you for helping us thoroughly enjoy our week in the snow.

We've stayed at this hotel several times. It's always been great. I can highly recommend it. Very friendly staff, as well as the hotel owners. Very clean and a friendly atmosphere. The decor varies depending on the season. Very quiet yet well located, right next to a bus stop.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and I can highly recommend it. The view of the Eiger from the rooms is simply breathtaking. The rooms are lovingly furnished, and the available space is utilized optimally. Okay, the shower, toilet, and sink aren't always all in one room, but it was perfectly fine for me as a single person. The hotel is immediately made aware of the noise, and that guests should be considerate of other guests after a certain time in the evening. In my opinion, it wasn't much louder than elsewhere. The breakfast is great. Everything is fresh and regional (bread, cheese, yogurt, etc.), and they try to avoid unnecessary waste as much as possible (no pre-packaged jam portions or ready-made yogurts). The entire team is always on hand to offer advice and assistance, whether it's planning a day (hike, etc.) or booking tickets. Yes, the hotel isn't in the center of town, but the bus stop is right outside. This makes it a bit quieter, in my opinion. You can escape the hustle and bustle of the street, have a better view of the surroundings, and in case of an emergency, everything is still within walking distance, even if it takes a little longer. I'm already looking forward to my next vacation.
