The room is clean and comfy with mountain view no matter if you are staying at the front or back of the hotel. The staffs are really nice as well. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is travelling to Switzerland"

"Here are some useful tips about this hotel: 1. Don't trust Google Maps when leaving the station – it'll lead you up a cliff! Definitely take the bus or a longer road to get here. 2. The room amenities are a bit lacking. There are no bedside power outlets or privacy curtains. You also need to put on your own duvet cover, pillowcases, and bedsheet. 3. These are the only two downsides. For a budget hostel in Switzerland, the breakfast is quite good. The common kitchen has a hot water kettle, fridge, and microwave, so coupled with Coop nearby, you won't have any issues with meals."

"I had a wonderful stay at the Sunstar Hotel in Grindelwald. The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring Grindelwald and the surrounding areas. The views from the hotel are beautiful, especially the mountain scenery. The breakfast was also very good, with a wide selection, and enjoying the mountain views while eating breakfast was a perfect start to the day. The room was comfortable and clean, and the hotel facilities were well-maintained. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay. If I come back to Grindelwald in the future, I would be happy to stay here again."

"The hotel is uphill at the other end of grindelwald, not too close to Grindelwald station and Coop, fortunately the door is bus 121, 122, 123, but at first I saw Google map that it was a 15-minute walk from the train station only, but I knew it was quite hard to push luggage up the slope  Fortunately, it is close to Pfingstegg and First cable car stations, and Jungfrau must either take bus 121, 123 or train to Grindelwald Terminal station, change to the Eiger Cable car, or go to Grindelwald station and take the Train to Kleine Scheidegg Although I live up to 4/F, the room has no air conditioning, so insects have entered the room🫨 But the scenery is beautiful, the room is big, the worst thing is no refrigerator, can only cook the noodles in the room Breakfast itself thought there was very little food, but you can order hot drink and egg separately, which is quite good Although seeing hotel restaurant dinner seems to be praised by many people, but too expensive, the cheapest is the 4-course menu d fine din, have to over CHF100"

The room is clean and spacious. You can see the snow-capped mountains and the dreamy hillside when you open the balcony. "Such a cute little hotel right by Grindelwald train station! Only thing is that it is up a really steep hill, no joke to climb up while dragging your luggage. Rooms were very roomy and clean. They kindly upgraded one of our rooms to a bigger room, which was really generous. Breakfast was simple but satisfying and delicious. There were cows at the patch of grass next to the hotel, which amused us greatly. Would recommend."

"The scenery was breathtaking; words fail me for the feeling of seeing such beauty for the first time. The Swiss scenery is definitely worth the price. The train station is at the foot of the mountain, and after arrival, you can take a bus to the hotel. The hotel is located in the middle of the mountain; it's about a ten-minute walk down to the town. The scenery along the way is truly beautiful—both the natural scenery and the local atmosphere are very pleasant. The hotel staff were also very attentive, patiently explaining the differences between First Mountain and Jungfraujoch. In the end, we chose First Mountain, making it a wonderful trip!"

Although the price I paid was the highest for the summer, I still feel it was worth every penny. For a 6,000 to 10,000 (CHF/USD/EUR) stay, the view alone was worth 4,000, the service 1,000, and the location 1,000."

"Small, charming hotel. It has a FABULOUS view of the Eiger North Face. The concierge was really kind and took the time to speak "good German" with us Ticinese, when EVERYONE only speaks Bernese dialect (and a strong one at that) and English. He explained how to get around Grindelwald by public transportation and where (and how) to take buses to the Jungfrau. He really put in the effort, I must say. Thank you. The hotel is about 600 meters from the Grindelwald train station, NOT the terminal, but the terminus. But there are buses coming and going, so no problem."

"It's about a 10-minute walk from Grindelwald Station, and the bus dispatch interval is long, so you have to calculate your time before moving. It was nice to be able to cook, but it wasn't very pleasant because of the smell of burnt oil in the room that doesn't go away even with ventilation. I think 1 towel per person for 2 nights was a bit too much. However, the view of the Eiger North Wall from the balcony was very beautiful enough to accommodate all these easy points."
