We were three couples traveling together, and we stayed at Fattoria San Lorenzo for three days. We were a bit worried about being so far out of town and away from things, but then we found out we could rent bikes. We rode our bikes to the beach two of the days. We rode the bikes to the grocery store each day, and into Grosseto one day...the bikes were the perfect solution. We loved the pool and the grounds of the property. We really enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We loved that the staff got to know us a bit, and we apprecitae being able to do some laundry! We would highly recommend staying here!

We spend 10 days at Fattoria San Lorenzo and had a really good time. The rooms are nice and spacious, the location in the South of Tuscany is really good, close to the Beaches and close to beautiful villages and Maremma National Park. The swimming pool was also very nice. Nothing but good experiences.

Perfect location. There are restaurants, a tennis court and swimming pools on site. Professional and friendly service. We had a separate house with a garden. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms, air conditioning. A car is required to get around.

Pleasant farm setting holiday resort in the beautiful Italian countryside. All amenities and really helpful, friendly staff from arrival, breakfast restaurant to departure. Some beautiful locations around and about including the award winning Pitigliano, Costello castle, Saturnia Springs and not forgetting the lovely beaches - Marina di Grosseto and nature reserve Spiaggia di Marina di Alberese.

During our stay the most precious, apart from the views, food, peaceful surrounding, was lady from the reception, who called herself as "Our Italian Mother". Such a helpful, cheerful and amazing soul! The location was beyond expectations. Old property converted into quintessence of Italian hospitality and comfort zone. Tasty breakfasts, comfort, big rooms, peaceful evenings filled with the sounds of nature. The best week in our whole life!

If you like quiet and living in nature then the La Capanne is for you. I was disappointed as it is isolated and you need a car to do everything, including going to reception. It all needs some attention. The pillows are very thin and the second bathroom needs a shower curtain as the water goes everywhere. There is 1 washming machine for using but it needs attention as well. I guess value for money but what ruined it for me was the smell of manure everyday from the farmer next door. We left a day early. The cleaning lady Laura was lovely, funny and very helpful. The pool is nice, fished out 3 mice and 2 frogs, so like I said its authentic farmhouse. Also had a couple of mice run through the house. Maybe because of the farmer being busy next door. Shops are about a 5min drive.

We loved our stay at Fattoria San Lorenzo so much, that we came back the next year. The apartment we had was spacious, clean and has all the necessary facilities. The swimming pool is great. And the estate has a restaurant for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. But most importantly, the staff is fantastic. They are always willing to help with whatever you may need. And they do it with a smile and a sense of humour. Complimenti!
