Le Grand Bellevue

My partner and I stayed at Le Grand Bellevue ahead of the holidays this past year for a special personal occasion. We had an incredible experience while there. Everything at this hotel is superb. The building, the rooms, the decor, the spa and amenities, the restaurant and bar, the common rooms - everything was absolutely top notch. The most important part of the stay, however, was the staff. We were made to feel extremely welcome beginning even before our arrival, as we were in communication with the concierge asking for assistance with reservations and activities during the trip. Once we arrived at the hotel, we felt quite literally like we were at home. I had requested flowers and a note in the room as a surprise, and the hotel executed the request better than I could have even imagined, even adding extra touches of their own. The warmth and kindness from every member of the staff really made our stay that much more special. From always asking how we were, to recommending hikes in the surrounding area, to helping with taxi services (which makes a massive difference in Gstaad), to the room being made up each day with personal touches for us and the restaurant staff remembering our breakfast orders and drink orders each time we arrived, it made all the difference. I can honestly not think of a single area where the experience could have been improved. Special recognitions to the head concierge Olivier and Sofiia for all of their assistance - thanks to you and the entire team for such a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to return (hopefully this year)!!

I've rated plenty of hotels five-star, but this hotel is in a category of its own. There has to be a new category altogether for a place that pays attention to every detail--that treats you like a VIP from the moment you arrive at the train station until you walk out their door. They're next level. They aren't six-star on a five-star scale, they're 10-star. Cleanliness? 10-star. Comfort? 10-star. Guest service? 10-star. Restaurant? 10-star. Location? 10-star, and all of these on a 5-star scale. Book it. Do it.

Our stay at the hotel was truly remarkable. From the moment we arrived until our departure, every detail was meticulously attended to. The hotel’s ambiance exuded elegance, and the service was exceptional, providing us with a unique experience.

I just came back from a fantastic week at Le Grand Bellevue. Gstaad is a very unique city, with some very traditional hotels. But I if you are looking to a place that can combine the elegance of a true 5 star hotel with the simplicity of warm human relations you should look no further and book your stay at Le Grand Bellevue. In the rooms, important to mention the outstanding bathrooms and the fantastic space for clothes. The Lounge is a great place to a backgammon game, read a book or, after 4pm, enjoy really good live music in a intimist environment. The Bar is a great place to catch up before dinner, with excellent cocktails and the option to ask for plates from their Japanese restaurant (their kept secret on S1!), which attract also a lot of the elegant people that have houses in Gstaad. The Spa is the best in town, with one of the best hotel saunas I had ever been. The restaurant, Leonardo's, is a special chapter. Great, really great, food and the best service you can find in town. By the way, this a characteristic of the hotel, from the fantastic Head Concierge, Olivier to every single employee of the hotel, you will few the real differentiation of a genuine and warm people treatment. This hotel is the real chic in Gstaad, don't look any further. Thank you again Olivier and Team from Le Grand Bellevue.

We have booked a short stay in Le Grand Bellevue through a website. Due to unforeseen family problems, we were trying to change the dates of our stay a week before arrival. Instead of arriving on a Sunday, we asked the hotel kindly to move our booking to the Wednesday after. On the hotel website there are still available rooms for the new requested period. We were told that this is a busy season for them therefore the change is not possible. After few email exchange, we told the hotel that we would be flexible with new dates and accept low season stay, according to their availability (on the website, there are available rooms for almost all March, including weekends). A specific negative mention to the Reservations Coordinator who is not trying to make any effort to accommodate our exceptional request for a possible change. This is not cancellation, this is trying to change the dates. Please see attached the photo of the availability on the hotel website.

Le Grand Bellevue is by far our favourite hotel ever which is why we keep going back! This is our 5th time there and every second of our stay was perfect as usual! The wonderful staff make us feel so welcome and at home especially Olivier and Edgar who we now know for many years! Thank you also for the gluten free birthday cake and card, it always makes me feel so special! We are always so sad to leave but we look forward to returning for our next visit to Gstaad!!
