Highly recommended resort! From the bed to the entire property to the breakfast buffet. Will definitely go back! And we were upgraded to Palmera Glass Suite which is a more expensive villa than the one we originally booked. We were taken care of and the toiletries were just so amazing

The worst hotel experience I've ever had. I don't mind the rooms being old but they were not well maintained at all. When we got off the lift and we saw how stained the hallway carpet was, we got a bit worried. Then we got to our two rooms and saw mould in the bathrooms and on the shower curtains. My bedsheets were washed but they had blood stains on them. When we checked in, we were told that the pool is closed for renovation but we can use the executive one. No one had emailed us before the trip to advise about the pool closure, or the fact that there would be drilling starting at 7:30/8am each morning, including Saturday. On top of that there was a few days-long conference so in between the drilling we would wake up to someone talking on a microphone. This was a business trip and we were working until late at night so waking up before 8am to a drilling noise was incredibly frustrating. We wouldn't have stayed there if someone had advised us beforehand. The staff was pleasant and they changed the bedsheets and my shower curtain, but they refused to move us to another room. Never again.

We went here on Holy Thursday and checked out the next day. The staff are very courteous and always ready to assist. The pool is huge even if there were many occupants that day, the pool was not crowded. Food deliveries and outside food are not allowed inside except for snacks and drinks. But the food in their restaurant tastes good, has a wide variety of choices and all are available. Our breakfast was buffet breakfast as the resort was able to meet the 50 min guests, otherwise it will be just plated breakfast. We got the Pool view room and its spacious, bed is comfy, bathroom has separate enclosed shower and a bathtub. wifi connection is good and you can connect all over the place (even at the poolside). Check in and out are easy, and they offer unli coffee at the reception. Overall experience is Excellent.

Planned a road trip to Padre Pio Shrine and found this hotel via Tripadvisor, which is the nearest hotel to the shrine. The check in was fast, front desk staff were accommodating and helped with our bags. We reserved two suite rooms and both were spacious, with king sized beds. it was lovely! No other restaurant in he hotel except for the Japanese one in the first floor and my kids wouldn't eat there so I asked if there were other restaurants in the vicinity (since the hotel is inside the First Philippine Industrial Park, it was very clean and it reminded me of Clark), and I was told there was a restaurant in Microtel Suites just a few blocks away. My children also asked if there was a pool and we were told the pool in Microtel was shared with Santomas Suites. Isn't that a little bit awkward? We might as well have booked in Microtel?!?! But anyway, my parents loved the big, spacious room and we were able to go to Santo Tomas proper and there were a lot of food choices there anyway, so that's okay. Also, I would like to mention that everytime we went out, the guard is just sitting in his chair, not even opening the front door. And that was several times. So I guess opening the front door and greeting hotel guests is not part of his job description??? All in all, the suite rooms are very good with all the amenities and we loved it! just be prepared to go out of the hotel (no room service) and into town proper for food and other things.

The hotel is beautiful, the surrounding view is stunning. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. We sat at the poolside to watch sunset for 2 days. It was a very nice experience. We took so many pictures. Snorkeling at the seaside was also super enjoyable. The hotel provided snorkeling equipment and a guide who taught us how to snorkel and led us to swim to the area where we could see lots of colorful fish. The price of snorkeling and kayaking was already included in the room rate. All the staff are very friend and helpful. We enjoy the stay at the hotel very much.
The only problem with our room was that the shower area was not fully covered by glass or a curtain, the whole floor of the bathroom got wet after a shower as water splashed out from the shower area.

Stayed here From April 10 to the 22 to be close to family. Hotel very clean,staff very friendly and courteous. Buffet breakfast was VG included and the food was good. Had dinner with family and friends few nights in the kubo. Food came in hot and delicious. They have a bar that serves a great run and coke beer among others. We tried the Cafe Ysab as well and it was good. Ròof deck is a must see for the 360 view of the city and the mountains. WiFi is good. Great place to stay when in Lipa. Hope to return again in the future.

Our stay with Canyon woods last Christmas was awesome! It made my family bonded again after long time
Since the pandemic.
The place is calm relaxing and serene as we all had time to just be ourselves and reminisce. It was a Christmas spent worthwhile and we will visit the place again as soon as we have long vacation. The staff are courteous, food is great and price is reasonable. Weather is the best and the views are superb! The kids enjoyed playing billiards and table tennis too.

Loved our stay at Splendido Hotel. I have read mixed reviews so I managed my expectations. It was a quick birthday weekend with my kids who haven't been to Tagaytay and they have been wanting to see Taal Volcano. I am so glad I chose Splendido. Totally leaned on the positive reviews. From the staff to the WiFi, from the bed to the bathtub, and the view OMG everything was perfect. I love how the staff was available but not hovering. It was secure, safe and so peaceful! My kids can't wait to be back and so do I. Thank you Splendido!

Pico restaurant the service was just horrible. They served spoiled coleslaw,
we waited too long for everything, starting from ordering til getting our bill. We ended up leaving the restaurant without paying. They are understaffed and the waiters we're not properly trained. Scrambled eggs in the buffet smells like wet rug. If you order medium rare tenderloin they will give you well done. We tried to complain but the manager was just hard to talk to and they were not sincere to fix the problem or even make up for their mistakes.

GGuest UserI was in CaSoBe with my family in February 2024. It has been a great holiday! The sea view from our cabin, the beach sunsets and the big swimming pools were a hit.
The personnel of the resort were really friendly and always ready to answer our needs and questions.
In particular, I would like to mention Mr. Alexis, who accompanied us in some trips around the area. He has been so kind and friendly with us and our kids and showed us all the best spots to visit, allowing us to experience the real Filipino life and tastes. A special thanks also to Marcus, from the resort management, who contributed to make our holiday memorable.
We highly recommend Calatagan South Beach resort for any visitor who likes to find a clean, friendly and relaxing environment for his holiday. We hope to be able to go back sometime!

GGuest UserI have traveled around the world to quite a lot of resorts, l must admit that the service, friendliness and courtesy of this resort was second to none. They were extremely welcoming and accommodating. They welcomed us with complimentary drinks for the whole family and made sure we were all settling in safely. The Manager Sir Donald was a very hands on Manager and could not do more to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible while the rest of the staff did more for us than any other resort l have ever stayed at. Needless to say, l will return to stay at this resort again when l return to The Philippines. The facilities at this resort make sure that you are never bored wondering what to do. I totally recommend that everyone coming to this part of the world check it out, you certainly will not regret it.

We as permanent senior citizens from Sta.Rosa ,Laguna come to Matabunkay for almost 30 Years . Well this was the last time in Coral Beach! First: the bill of drinks doublet miraculously .My intervention and complain was noticed , We received a new one without the included refund. They thought they can keep the money, because I overtip mostly with 10% .And also no sorry for error! I claimed for refund and asked for at least an apology. Well this happened later numerous times from other employees! Bye the way we expats are often taken as walking ATM machines here . This about the so calld Filipino hospitality. 2. About 11pm I woke up from loud voices with laughing etc. out from the pool. I told them to shut up because I want to sleep .The probably Chinese guy with bacla friends aprouched me agressivly with intention to beat me up. I'm76 year old , with cancer and quite week. I gave up.....and went back to our room .They continued to swim until about 1am! 3.Barely sleeping we left the resort without breakfast around 6'30 Still confused and angry we forgot Phone fast charger and 3m extension Cable. But do you think we got noticed from the staff there ? They have our calling Nr and address.No ! Find out now if you want to go there ! I don't recommend it anymore . My previous reviews always are 5 Star. Now they get 3 !

The room given to us was clean but the floor was really sticky. We remember checking in at around 10pm but I had to call the front desk the next morning (9am) just to make sure I'm not mistaken since they did not provide us any checkout information when we paid for our room. The girl who I spoke to said we checked in at 9pm and they will only allow a 15min grace period for us to pack up and leave right away. I asked how much it will cost for us to have an additional hour so we can eat breakfast but the girl said she is not sure of how and that she will need to call us back. After a few minutes she called back and said we need to pay 180PHP for another hour to spend at the hotel. My partner was the one who answered the call and agreed so that they would let us stay until 10am. They DO NOT SERVE ANY MEALS, only cup noodles and junk food so we had to order food delivery. My partner went down the lobby to get our breakfast from the delivery guy and also spoke to the receptionist to confirm what was our check-in time last night. She was told it was 9:51PM and not 9PM contrary to what she told me when I called. After eating we packed up our things and went down right away so that we no longer need to extend an additional hour on our stay. The receptionist told us we still need to pay 180PHP even though we did not consume the 1hr extension since it was already recorded on their system. I argued but had to pay since we were on a hurry. TLDR: WE WERE ASKED TO PAY FOR AN EXTRA HOUR ON OUR STAY EVEN THOUGH WE CHECKED OUT ON TIME. THEY DO NOT SERVE ANY MEALS. THE STAFF IS NOT FRIENDLY AND PROPERLY TRAINES, EVEN THE GUARD WHO KEPT ON STARING AT US. P.S I HOPE THE MANAGEMENT WILL TAKE ACTION AND TRAIN THEIR PEOPLE TO BE PROFESSIONAL. CUSTOMER RELATIONS NEED IMPROVEMENT. THE RECEPTIONIST IS INCONSIDERATE.

GGuest UserThe place is so serene and relaxing, lots or activities to do like swimming, basketball, baseball or even just walking. The place is enormous that you’ll get tired exploring it. The rooms are extremely clean, and all the staff were friendly and cheerful, they even reheated our left overfoods from Shakeys We also dined at Abadi and the Filipino foods are so yummy and authentic. The turon dessert is absolutely a must try. Will definitely go back again.

GGuest UserThe room is very clean and it's really like a hotel it has a comforter like the ones you see at hotels we availed the deluxe room so its not that spacious specially the comfort room only one person can fit in. You can bring your own drinks or foods too inside the resort you don't need to pay a corkage fee. They have court for basketball and volleyball the price is cheaper when you rent it in daytime. We also tried their full body massage for 1 hr that cost us 750 pesos each. You will need to go to their resto to claim your free breakfast if you avail the room that comes with a breakfast, it will not be delivered to your room but you can choose whichever breakfast meal they have in their menu plus it comes with a soup which is great and their foods taste delicious also the price of their food is reasonable but they have a 10% service charge for dine in and 15% for room service. The resto's cutoff for room service is 5pm, 7pm for dine in. The resort's downside is their operations time the front desk and restaurant is only open from 7am-8pm so if you're going to need something from the front desk after that time no one can assist you because they'll be gone by then only the guard will be left in the front door and also if you got hungry at night you might need to buy food from their resto before they closes or buy from a nearby convenient store because there's also no foodpanda or grabfood nearby stores also closes early so you have to plan your dinner ahead of time. We went to SM (closes at 9pm) the fare going there using tricycle is 120pesos.Their pool is only open till 9pm only if you want to eat or drink near the pool you can use their cabanas. Another downside is the beach, the beach area closes at 8pm. Their sand is gray (but a fine sand) you can't really swim in it because the waves are strong and the water is not clear and it's kinda dirty there's a lot of trash beside the beach it's not well maintained. You will really need to go island hopping which is already not part of the resort's activity so they'll let you sign a waiver. There's a lot of bangkero beside the beach it's best to ride by group there's only 2 of us when we rode the boat so it's a bit expensive, island hopping will cost you around 2000 (1 island) to 3.5k (2 islands) we availed the 3.5k. We went coral diving (they lent us their goggles for free or bring your own goggles) and also went at the white sand beach which is in Bauan, Batangas which also has clear water and you can also spot some fish and corals, travel time going to those 2 places is 35-45mins you can also bring your food but keep in mind to really cover it in plastic so it won't get wet because the trip going there is really rocky you will really get wet because you will pass by a strong waves so cover all your belongings. It was raining when we went there so maybe that's why the waves are strong. Overall we had a blast! We indeed had a memorable stay. They even gave us a gift when we checked out they're so thoughtful.
