A perfect hotel, owned and operated by the cavendish family. The food is very good, Michelin in 2020, and the ingredients are supplied by their own channels. The breakfast is rich. It is a 30-minute walk to Chatsworth House, if you are not afraid of the wind in this season. There are lawns and 🐑 all the way. If you have seen "Pride and Prejudice", this is a must-visit place.

We stopped by on the off-chance. having called to book but had to leave an answer phone message, for afternoon tea. Lovely setting, efficient service and a good selection for afternoon tea - including my vegetarian choices. Will certainly go again, and we recommend.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Cavendish hotel. The food was delicious - sandwiches, scones and shortbread, the dinner tasting menu and breakfast were all equally excellent. The staff at the hotel were also incredible. They accommodated our son to stay with us at very short notice - making him up a bed in our room, sourcing him a last minute ticket for Christmas at Chatsworth House and arranging a children’s menu for him whilst my husband and I enjoyed the tasting menu. The Christmas decor in the hotel was beautiful and the staff gave me a card and chocolate for my birthday. Cannot wait to return again next year! Thank you to all staff for making my birthday break into a great family weekend away!

Went for Sunday lunch as a birthday treat. Location was beautiful as is the Garden room, but very disappointed with the meal. The meat was so full of fat , the lamb inedible. Was offered a steak knife to try and cut it! Staff didn’t seem that bothered. Real shame

Having never been to Chatsworth before we booked the Chatsworth Experience for the evening prior to our visit. Beautiful Cosy Double room with tickets to the house and free parking included in the price as well as £68 per head towards dinner. We chose to ‘upgrade’ to the Tasting Menu at the Gallery Restaurant - and wow, we were not disapppointed by either the food or the Flight of Wine and the very knowledgeable wine waiter! Stunning views of the Peak District landscape and Chatsworth estate. oh, and checking in at the House for parking we were given a voucher for 10% discount at the Fram Shop #bonus

We had one night here. It was my husband’s birthday. Have been many times before. New decor very stylish and we always love the bedrooms. Getting a drink at the bar is like pulling teeth. No one there. Finally someone came. Dinner in the Garden room. The waiting staff were charming but clueless. 2 trips to the chef to ask what veg came with the fish. Shouldn’t she have known? There was so little veg when it came we could hardly see it. Food delicious but such tiny portions and expensive. Left feeling hungry. We never have breakfast after waiting over an hour previously. My nerves can’t take the jeopardy. with the fish.

Beautiful Setting, But Expensive and Poor Service I’ve given this place multiple chances because it’s in such a beautiful location and I live nearby. Sadly, the service has been consistently poor. It takes far too long just to get a drink, and no one ever checks to see if you’d like another. On one visit, we asked to move outside—staff agreed, but no one brought our drinks over or followed up with us at all. For how expensive it is, the lack of basic service is really disappointing. This place has so much potential, but the experience just doesn’t live up to it.

Myself and my husband finally made it for lunch and were rewarded with beautiful views, perfect service, gorgeous meal --- the fish was perfect --- the most glorious weather and outside dining in serene surroundings: a little piece of heaven for an hour or two.
