We had the most amazing time, reception staff went above and beyond in every possible way, and the restaurant team were equally fantastic. We were enjoying ourselves so much that we even extended our stay by three extra nights. Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed at the end. Upon returning home, we realised my son had left his Beats headset in the room. These were a special Christmas gift, they were left on the bed, as he had been asleep with them on. He woke up late and had to rush off, so it’s clear they were forgotten in the rush. I also later realised I had left behind a pair of designer glasses. I called reception, and the receptionist was lovely and apologetic, but she mentioned that nothing had been handed in. I genuinely believe this was the case . Therefore, the only culprit is the cleaner. Despite this unfortunate situation, I would absolutely return because I wouldn’t want this to overshadow what was otherwise such a lovely experience in a beautiful place. However, I feel it's important to raise this issue as a note for future guests, it's crucial to double-check and make sure nothing is left behind, as this situation has left a bit of a sour note on an otherwise excellent stay. The hard work and dedication of the staff to make our time enjoyable deserves to be highlighted, and I wouldn't want this issue to tarnish the hotel's overall reputation.
