Budget-Friendly Stay, but Comes with Compromises I recently stayed at S.C. Heritage Hotel, Hatyai, and while it’s an older hotel, it still offers decent value for those on a tight budget. What I Liked: • Ample parking, making it convenient for those driving. • No deposit required for check-in, which is a rare convenience. • The balcony was surprisingly spacious and comfortable, a nice touch for a budget hotel. What Needs Improvement: Unfortunately, the drawbacks were hard to ignore. The reception staff could use some customer service training, as their attitude felt unwelcoming and unfriendly. The beds were quite hard, which made it difficult to sleep comfortably. Room quality varied significantly—some were acceptable, while others felt unsettling due to broken amenities like a noisy air conditioner, a TV that didn’t work, faulty light switches, and a bathroom in poor condition. The shower water pressure was frustratingly low, making it inconvenient for a refreshing bath. Overall: Despite its flaws, I’d consider staying here again if I’m on a tight budget, given the extremely low price of just RM50 per night. The Wi-Fi works fine, though it can be unreliable at times. If you’re looking for basic accommodation with no frills and can overlook some maintenance issues, this hotel could work for you.

Overall, it is a good budget hotel to stay in. This is a long historical hotel in Hat Yai. The building is very old already; however, it has a spacious size. Kindly do not overexpect when you wish to stay here. The lighting is not quite bright. During the day, the lobby area is quite dark, and they shall turn on the lobby light in the evening. The hotel has a lift, so it is quite convenient for those who bring their family members along. When you go up to the upper floors, your feeling will be changed. It's actually a big hotel. Maybe because it is already old, the hotel management does not focus much on professional hospitality. On the other hand, it provides a cheap price to stay thus this conpensates what we do not receive from its best service of hospitality.

Only if you really NEED a private room and have very limited budget, you can stay at S.C. Heritage Hotel. But in general I strongly discourage you from booking here. Everything is bad. All is so old that it almost falls apart. And obviously the cleaners don't know how to clean: everything is disgusting, super dirty. It's a serious health risk to stay here, because the mold everywhere can make you very sick. The ents all over the room were a real nightmare. Endless ents.

Everything is good, room and facilities acceptable and will repeat again
