Stayed at this hotel for two nights. Very good location, close to the Gion Shopping Plaza, walking distance to Jinrong Market, santisuk Market, Robinson Shopping Street and Oden Shopping Street. The train station is nearby and you can see the station building from the hotel. There are also many halal restaurants nearby...you can go around nearby. The room is spacious and clean, the bathroom is good, and the room service is good. You can easily go to other places by tuk tuk or double row car in front of the hotel. But make sure you will bargain. If I go to Hat Yai, I will definitely return to this hotel.

The condition of the hotel has been built for 30 years and the furniture is very old. but the room is clean There are not enough power sockets, there are only 2 places, the TV can watch Thai channels, the overall condition, if you don't think too much, it's acceptable. Don't know what some reviewers have been smoking, but this place is average at best. I know it is June, but even with 2 fans on me it was too hot. The place is rather cluttered, not exactly clean, and the legendary friendliness of the owners didn't seem to apply to me or the others present that day. As for the common area by reception the less said the better. I'm not saying don't stay here, but some of the reviews are so over the top that I wrote this one to give a more balanced impression of the place. It is near the train station, which is a plus, but it's not the only one. In fact others are even closer.

Hubby and I just wanted a short vacation is southern Thailand without too much hassle and traveling. We chose to stay in city center and required a comfortable reasonable priced hotel which was easy access to the two night hawkers, temples and the four famous markets which sold local products and wares. We found VL Hatyai after reading the numerous reviews. Our room was on the 11th floor with a great view of the city and it was spacious and clean. The twin beds and pillows were very comfortable and a kettle for making coffee was provided. A large TV with various English, Chinese and Thai channels were provided and we even had a fridge and hair dryer which were unusual for the price we paid. Due to the comfort we decided to stay 5 nights and ventured to tour outskirts of Hatyai on day trips to the Floating Market and Stainless Steel Temple.

The Train hotel is located at the same building of Hat Yai train station, it's suitable for anyone who needs to catch the early morning train or arriving Hat Yai station at late night. Robinsons department(supermarket& banks) is just 3 min walk. Room is very clean. Facilities are functional : Flat screen TV, refrigerator, bathroom with bathtub, safety box& cupboard . Staff are so friendly. When I arrived at 7.15 am,receptionist was kind to give my room at that time( so amazing). I highly recommend to stay here

Was a very decent hostel, lovely receptionist and the room was clean - just a few mosquitoes coming in through the bathroom. The internet worked very well too, and it’s close to the centre so perfect if you are in transit and want to make most of Hatyay. The night market is the most recommendable thing to do in this small city, but would recommend to take taxi at least one way as it’s further that it seems on the map. Before going to bed we went to have a massage in the shop at the hostel, not sure if it’s their shop. This was the worse massage I had in Thailand, not just because they seemed lazy but also because they continuously talked between each other and laughing, so how can you possible relax and enjoy? Good for the Hostel, bad for the massage shop.

Strategic location in the city, convenient. Surroundings are not noisy. Love the room very much, very comfy bed & beddings. Nice bathroom with nice ToTo fittings. Best of all, they even had air filter in the room, to make sure to have great air quality. Me & my friends had very good sleeps. Will definitely book again for next stay. TOTALLY RECOMMENDED👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I made a booking for one night well in advance via Booking.com. Close to my date I decided I wanted to book an additional night. Booking.com was not showing any availability for my extra night. On the 8 December I sent an email via Sandee Room's facebook page...no response. On 10 December I sent a message via Sandee Room's facebook page...no response. On 13 December I sent a message to Sandee Room via Booking.com...no response. On 15 December I cancelled my booking. I don't know whether this hotel is open or closed but I would advise making contact first before making any booking.
