GGuest UserThis was my first time staying at a Mercure hotel and I was not disappointed. This new hotel opened in April. I usually stay at less expensive hotels but I was attending a festival at Luogang Central Park and wanted to find accommodations nearby. It was a short walk from the hotel door to the festival gates. I could see the stages from my room. The service at the hotel was the best that I have ever encountered. I was immediately greeted by the guest services agents. Sally, the front office manager, assisted me as I checked in. She speaks excellent English. Sally assisted me by entering the hotel address and room number into *******. The food was delivered to my room by robot. Sally and the staff at the front desk made sure that everything about my stay was as perfect as it could be. On day two, I ordered ******* again. The food never arrived. As I do not know any Chinese, Sally helped me by talking to the vendor and delivery driver. She spent two days (even after I had checked out and gone home) to make sure that I got a full refund from *******. For some reason, I could not rent a phone charger from the machine in the lobby (that is a problem on my end not a problem with the machine). One of the guest services agents on duty rented the charger for me and I paid her when I returned the charger. My room was beautiful! I had a corner room with windows on two sides. I enjoyed a long soak in the tub each day. The toilet came with a remote control that I translated. There were a few minor things about the room that could be improved. 1. The refrigerator was stocked with free beverages. However, there were no sugar free sodas. The water bottles are smaller than what I am used to and there were only two bottles of regular drinking water in the room. The maid and front desk were happy to supply me with more when asked. 2. The telephone sits on the bedside table that is in the far corner of the room. You have to walk around the bed to reach it. The phone would be more accessible on the side of the bed closer to the sitting area. I don't usually use the hotel phone but you do get a call when the robot comes to your door. 3. To open and close the curtains, you press the button next to the bed. The corner room has large windows on both walls. There is no way to only open the curtain on one side of the room. I did enjoy the wine, coffee, and snacks in the front lobby. I also ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant each day. There was a nice variety on the breakfast buffet that changed daily. I found the laundry room to be clean and comfortable with a small sitting area. It is located near the fitness room and restaurant. I would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. The small issues that I mentioned above are just minor inconveniences and nothing that can't be corrected or worked around. Based on my stay here, I would also try other Mercure hotels when traveling.

From the moment I walked in, the reception staff were welcoming and incredibly efficient, making the check-in process both speedy and effortless. The room itself was clean and well-maintained, which made for a very comfortable stay. The housekeeping team obviously takes great care in ensuring that every detail is attended to, from the fresh linens to the spotless bathroom. The hotel's location is another great advantage. Being near the subway made it incredibly convenient to get around and explore the city with ease. Despite its prime location, the price was very reasonable, offering excellent value for money. Breakfast was a highlight of the morning, with a delicious variety that really set me up for the day. The quality and selection of food were outstanding, and it was a treat to start each day with such a satisfying meal. One area for improvement would be the noise cancellation in the rooms. Being close to the subway, I did notice some ambient noise that occasionally disturbed my sleep. However, this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay. In summary, this hotel excels in many areas: exceptional reception, efficient check-in, clean rooms, convenient location, reasonable pricing, and delicious breakfast. With a bit of improvement in noise cancellation, it would be truly perfect. There was no air conditioning in the entire public area, including the corridors, elevators, etc. It was cold everywhere except the room, which was very uncomfortable!
