Best Western Hotel Slenaken

The hotel is neat and cozy decorated. Breakfast was fine, only the cleaning up was accompanied by a lot of noise, which is annoying when you are still quietly having breakfast. Hotel room was fine, a bit cramped, and there was a bad sewer smell coming from the shower drain, we covered it with the shower mat, then the smell was gone. We personally find the prices for dinner and drinks much too high, so we dined elsewhere, had enough choice in the area!

The hotel is very well located, quiet. The only downside: the fridge (minibar) was empty! This is the first time we have found ourselves in a situation of this type in a "Best Western". The breakfast buffet is well stocked, but for tea lovers, you had to make do with small cups of coffee.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location. The rooms are slightly outdated but in order and equipped with all necessary comforts. Personally, I'm not a fan of the tapestry, but okay. Bathroom has a separate bath and shower. The doors close automatically with a very loud bang - noisy. As others have already written, very friendly staff in the catering area, but the ladies at the reception lack any kind of cordiality. We stayed at the hotel with a group of friends. A couple refuses a room because it had clearly been smoked in the room and there was an unpleasant smell. After some insistence they got another room, but this "stink room" was then casually given to another couple, without solving the problem.... !!? It is best to skip the restaurant, price / quality is out of proportion. The cook lacks any form of inspiration to complete a dish, with a game dish, for example, we only got Brussels sprouts and no other vegetables. It also makes it quite easy to use frozen products. For example, we got soup with clearly factory-cut vegetables, personally I think that the soup was even completely a factory product. With the main course again clearly factory-cut vegetables that you normally find in the freezer compartment, together with a fried potato dish that has been baked too long. And for dessert a stale cookie that was already wak. To end on a positive note, the breakfast is fairly simple, but good and the service by Patrick very good.

Nice and comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Extensive and good breakfast. The only downside was that the heating in the room and the bathroom did not work well because it makes it a little less pleasant in the winter months.

L'hôtel est idéalement situé, un peu à l'écart du centre du village. Les chambres sont très propres, assez bien isolées et ont une superficie raisonnable pour bien s'y sentir. Le personnel de la réception et du petit-déjeuner est très aimable et accommodant. Le seul hic est qu'il n'y a pas d'extra dans la chambre pour leur client régulier (frigo vide, bouteille d'eau). Ils manquent également de créativité dans leur restaurant. La cuisine est de qualité moyenne et leur carte n'a pas été modifiée au cours des 8 derniers mois!
