"The hotel has all the hallmarks of having a management makeover by a team that understands the bottom line but not the guests' requirements. The room carpet was wet from an overflowing shower. The TV had no controller. The windows had no outlook; they were frosted glass. Breakfast was very ordinary, consisting of leathery fried eggs, no cold meats or cheese, and no choice of fresh fruit. The bread was cheap, with no choice, but at least the coffee was brown, if not tasty."

"So upon entering this travel lodge it was instantly clear this is one of the better ones. Certainly the nicest travel lodge ive ever stayed at. Then came the checking in, which was a nightmare on previous travel lodge hotels. This was simple easy and when asking if there was anything they could do to male my stay better, Jamie went above and beyond to help. The customer service is fantastic. This travel lodge also boasts a restaurant for dinner and breakfast, which ive very rarely seen so yet another massive tick for this place. The beds are comfortable and clean (unlike some others) juat all in all a really lovely hotel and would absolutely come back again."

"Me and my friend used the guest house as a stop off for a trip. We checked in late after a long drive arriving at around 8.40 at night. We were greeted by an overwhelming smell of curry and stale food. Check in was quick and room keys were given in a semi friendly manner that was not quite welcoming. We had requested rooms close to each other but were on different floors which was not a major issue but then my room lock was broken and I had to ask multiple times to have one that locked. The rooms were basic and mis matched one having a fridge and kettle only with no tv remote and the other a fan and a remote but the bed was literally a mattress on a box. That being said it was clean semi comfy and useable but not recommended for a long stays. The rooms are slightly over priced with no drinks in rooms and small shower pods that are not overly practical."
