I come to Baskerville about twice a year - for the Festival and then for a few days away with friends in the summer. From the moment I arrive at the beautiful drive up to the Hotel, I am reminded what a special place this is. Yes, it has it's quirks - what building of that age and with such fascinating history wouldn't have, but with breathtaking sunrises, delicious food with generous portions, lovely, friendly staff with a great sense of humour, a swim before breakfast and stunning surroundings etc... I love it! Hay is a gorgeous town to explore and the walks in the mountains are wonderful. Everytime I come I find something else I like about the place and it's usually a bit quirky! A big thank you to all the people who work there.
