Mosselberg on Grotto Beach
"We spent two nights at Mosselberg On Grotto Beach last week with our daughter who was out from the UK. From the first greeting when we arrived and Francois met us in the car park we were made to feel welcome. It was very cold and wet but Brighton had a roaring fire going in the communal lounge and we spent a lovely evening there enjoying a drink from their fully stocked bar and sushi which Francois kindly collected for us from town. Breakfast was a treat with a full range of cereals etc plus fruit and eggs etc to order. Gem took over from Brighton on the second day and we found him equally helpful and a pleasure to deal with."
Misty Waves Boutique Hotel
"My husband and I were here for the first few days of our honeymoon and we had wonderful time! The room was lovely and the staff were very friendly!"
Baleia Guest Lodge
"Travelers should be aware that there is major construction and renovation @ this place. I was told upon check in and I stayed one night as it wasn't refunded. Lots of noise, dust and materials all around so it was impossible to sit outside plus the pool was green from all the debris. There really should have been some notification about the work being done."
Whale Coast All-Suite-Hotel - DCC Hotel Group
"This is a huge two-story, three-bedroom apartment in a shopping center with shops downstairs—very convenient! It's literally 5 minutes to the waterfront, so the location is excellent! The room is nice, clean, and spacious, and for the price, it's fantastic! There's underground parking."
Harbour House Hotel
"I enjoyed every minute at the hotel. The location is perfect and staff friendly and helpful"
Whale Coast Ocean Villa
"Staying in Hermanus at the Whale Coast Ocean Villa was one of life's highlights. Best rest ever! The staff are superb, the villa is ultra comfortable, and the breakfast is one of the best we've ever had when staying in a guest house. If you haven't stayed here, make a booking soon!"
Brown Jug Guest House
" Very friendly welcome. We had a pleasant stay. The accommodation is well-located close to Hermanus Centre and the Golf Course. Secure private parking available and lovely garden/outside area. Thank you. "
Hermanus Beachfront Lodge
"Wonderful hotel with old fashioned hospitality - gloriously furnished and clean. Wonderful room overlooking the sea , fabulous breakfast and very professional and helpful staff"
One Marine Drive Boutique Hotel & Spa by the Living Journey Collection
"We stayed at 1 Marine Drove for two nights and could not have been happier with our choice. The welcome was warm and informative - it is rare these days to be shown to your room and all of the amenities available but this was the welcome we received. Secure underground car park, and close to the town - the view is ridiculously beautiful. Breakfast choices were plentiful and the quality of ingredients and cooking superb. We felt very looked after throughout our stay. Everyone is super friendly. We stayed in room 17 which was spacious and clean and again with excellent facilities and complimentary sustainable products. We love the idea of collecting excess water in a bucket for re-use in the garden ! We had no issue with the kettle and coffee machine being outside of the room, it felt like an extension of our space The town and shops and restaurants are about a 10 minute walk away. The coastal path is easily accessible and provides a nice route to walk. We definitely recommend and will return."

Whale Rock Luxury Lodge
"Gorgeous hotel, well appointed in a quiet residential area of Hermanus, we stayed in the Villa part of the property, a reasonably new addition lovely, bright and modern big comfy beds and gorgeous bathrooms, and with solar power so no load shedding issues here. Breakfasts every day were cooked to order and delicious, plus the buffet pancakes were delicious. The pool area is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long day. They also have an honesty bar, which is very handy, too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will for sure return. We must really thank Aspen, who's great customer service, made our stay magical and special. Thank you so much for having us and looking after us so well"
The Marine Hermanus

"Beautiful guesthouse with spectacular views! The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The owner Charmaine and her staff were exceptional. The breakfast was great and the self-serve bar with the fantastic views was awesome. A big thank you to Lucky for all your help. If you're in Hermanus this is the place to stay!!"
Selkirk House
"After a long journey in a stormy weather it appeared like a lighthouse in the storm and... what an amazing welcome! The landlady has really been helpful and kind and the place is top notch: amazing interiors, very comfortable beds and large family rooms, spotless clean not to mention the really yummy breakfast. Thank you for the perfect stay!"
Grand Lux Boutique Manor
"The owners of this hotel need to give some thought as to what makes a client happy. Our room was very spacious with a lovely view. That is where the compliments end. In extreme wind we had to walk outside to get into our room, despite there being a door inside the hotel leading directly into our suite. We were told by the manager that the door was “ for the staff’s use only to service the room”. The same applied to getting to breakfast. We had to walk outside in the howling wind, through a door that was very difficult to open, only to discover the manager had walked through the house via the kitchen, wind free. There were workmen on a Sunday morning painting around the pool. I decided as it was windy I would use the gym, only to discover a painter inside there too and, as a result, the room had such strong paint fumes it was unusable. There was no cappuccino or lattes available at breakfast, no none dairy options either. On the table there was only cheap table salt, no course salt. The shower had no hand rail or seat and the bath had nowhere to place shampoo or soap. No wonder we had to sign an indemnity at check in. And the hotel is not cheap. With a great location and some sweet staff who serviced our room, it will be a pity if these issues are not resolved. We packed up and left early. Did not see one other guest there. Not surprised."
The Thatch House Hermanus
"The Thatchhouse couples pristine African beauty with the endearing hospitality of Terry, Ivan, Jenica and team. The accommodation and furnishings (including linen) uniquely target deep relaxation with exceptional sleep and the food holds its own against London’s best boutiques. Simply a must see Hermanus triumph."
The Whale's Tale Guesthouse
"Such a lovely facility with the friendliest staff, you won’t be sorry ! Book now this place is so worth it. "
Auberge Burgundy Boutique Hotel & Spa
"We truly enjoyed our stay at Auberge Burgundy. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and assisted with our luggage. All the staff were friendly, professional, and attentive. We were celebrating a birthday, and they made a special effort to make the occasion even more memorable, which we really appreciated. The room was spacious with beautiful décor, while still feeling cozy and warm. The location is incredibly convenient, close to restaurants and shops, with lovely sea views. The breakfast was divine — definitely one of the best we’ve had."
Milkwood Lodge
"Milkwood lodge is a lovely place to stay just outside of the centre of Hermanus. From the moment we arrived Linda was welcoming and friendly. We arrived at the same time as some issues in the town with taxi strikes and Linda tried really hard to find us somewhere to go for dinner, ringing round restaurants for us as most seemed to be closed on our first night! She booked a table for us on our second night there and thankfully we did find somewhere to go for our first night. The cottage we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable, with a lovely big bed in the main bedroom and even our own outside space. The main room had underfloor heating which was really welcome as the weather had turned a bit chilly. The shower in the bathroom was amazing, really good pressure and warm water - it was difficult to get out! There was a pool available but we didn't use it as it was just too cold. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice, from cereals and toast and pastry and they made some cooked items that we wanted. The location of the lodge is on the main road in and our of Hermanus and a short drive into the centre of town. I'd definitely recommend staying here."
6 Stemmet Lodge
"We appreciated the friendly, welcoming service and it felt like a real BnB where you are staying in someone’s home. The location is ideal - quiet, safe street and you can walk to the main tourism area - day or night."
The Whale on Main B&B
"The host couple was very nice, looked out extensively for my wishes even before they occurred. Helped with restaurant recommendation and booking, hiking trails etc. :)"
Port Del Mar Guesthouse
"This place was perfect for us. Very high standard of accommodation built around 2017 with lots of nice touches. Very helpful staff and a very good house dog called Happy ! The owner, Martin introduced us to the property and he and the staff were so nice for our stay . A good breakfast started every day well. It’s a very short walk into town and there’s lots of restaurants and bars to enjoy."
Hermanus Lodge on the Green - Solar Power
"We had a wonderful stay at Hermanus Lodge on the Green and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hermanus. From the moment we arrived, we received a very warm and personal welcome. The host took the time to explain everything clearly and made us feel at home straight away. Our room was immaculate, spacious, and exceptionally well equipped. We especially appreciated the thoughtful extras such as complimentary bottled water, a small carafe of port wine, and comfortable bathrobes. These little touches made our stay feel truly special. The breakfast was outstanding. Guests can choose from an à la carte menu while also enjoying a small breakfast buffet with a variety of additional options. Everything was fresh, well presented, and delicious. Another feature we really liked was the honesty bar system. Guests can help themselves to drinks at any time, simply record what they have taken and settle the bill at check-out. It creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The secure gated parking area was also a great advantage and gave us complete peace of mind. Hermanus Lodge on the Green combines comfort, hospitality and attention to detail in a way that is increasingly rare to find. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return in the future. Highly recommended!"
