"Celia, our hoste, welcomed us in her beautiful and luxurious villa in Hermanus. We had a private room and bathroom and shared common areas: pool, dining room, living room. Although we only stayed for one night, we were completely rested and ready to continue our trip through SA, especially after the lovely breakfast Celia provided! "

"Perfectly situated with beautiful views of the ocean and cliffs. You can start your cliff walk just across the road or sit on a bench and watch the whales. The town centre is within walking distance. The breakfast is fantastic with everything you could gwant. The staff are friendly and your host will make you feel at home."

"The Thatch House is incredibly beautiful in every way. From the location, the decor, the food and the service, there is nothing more we could have wished for. Slightly outside Hermanus, we enjoyed the gardens and the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming."

"Unfortunately my wife was ill and was unable to travel. I reached out to the hotel directly to explain that as my wife was having a major operation and having an unfit to travel document we would very much like to rebook at a later date . However the hotel showed no empathy or sympathy and refused our request . Money is there only consideration putting their own financial gain and profit before a woman undergoing cancer treatment! I will add the only hotel along the garden route that has shown such a shameful attitude. Way goes around comes around !"

"Stayed at their apt 9 waterfront apt. Great instructions for checking in and getting the keys. The photos made it very easy. The apartment is nicely decorated and has everything you need for your stay. The pool area upstairs was lovely and the central location was perfect. A little noisey on a weekend, but nothing horrendous and it's the price you pay for being right in the centre. View was good, more than a side sea view, that is advertised. Nice having milk and coffee when you arrive,dsaves you having to shop on the day you get there. Plenty of space in the apartment and good sized bathroom. Had a few issues with the lights but was sorted quickly. Also note had issues with the Netflix, but used our own account, so didn't cause any problem. Note.. There is only Netflix in the room, no standard sabc TV. Parking was no problem. All in all had a great stay and would recommend and stay again. Karien was very helpful as a host."

"We had a very restful night at Lavender Manor. Comfy bed, nice bathroom facilities and everything we could possibly need. Also a wonderful location - an easy stroll to the beach."

"Wonderful place, very clean, very friendly stuff, very nice rooms! Situated not in the city centre (max. 5min by car), which can be advantage or disadvantage, but we enjoyed it not to be in the crowd :-)"

"The location is very good, next to the sea and the street, you can walk there. The hotel is not big, but there are parking spaces inside. You can open and close the door yourself. The proprietress speaks standard British English. I will go there next time if I have the opportunity."

"La Fontaine has a great location with fabulous views. Secure parking and only a few minutes walk from the town and many restaurants. Natasha is very welcoming and helpful as well as being very effecient. We were definitely in safe hands! We had the enormous honeymoon suite with the fabulous balcony. Loads of storage, comfortable bed and quiet aircon. The bathroom was a little tired but enormous and everything functioned fine. Good choice of hot and cold food for breakfast on the patio with a great view. The complimentary fruit and lollies were a nice touch too. We would definitely stay again if back in Hermanus"
