Superb accommodation in a great location 5 min stroll to the village square of Old Hersonissos and another 15/20 to Piskopiano and Koutouloufari. The welcome from Thanos and his staff was exceptional as was the large air conditioned apartment which included lovely extra touches like complimentary wine and fruit basket, robes and slippers, pool towels and good quality toiletries and amenities. Great pool area and bar and the breakfast was excellent - everything fresh and great quality in a lovely outdoor terrace by the pool. The whole place is immaculate and the level of cleaning is exceptional. Staff can’t do enough for you and we got excellent advice and help from Thanos about local places to visit, eat, hire car, taxis etc. All in all exceptional quality at a great price. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

My sister and I really enjoyed the cleanliness and tranquility of Mitos Village, we would return. Thanos and his family were very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommended staying here. Food was good, pool was clean, staff were friendly. Absolutely no complaints.

There are not enough words for me to express how wonderful we found this hotel and the entire team. Every area is kept immaculately clean by the 2 girls who clean all areas, all day, every day. The breakfast area was beautiful to sit and enjoy a superb breakfast in peace and quiet with only the noises of nature surrounding you. It set us up for the day, not only in sustenance but mentally as well. It was bliss. The pool area was spotless, and it was a joy to get into the pool which was a lovely temperature and very refreshing in the very high temperatures Crete was experiencing. We spent a lot of time in and around the pool and happily used the bar services which were also great. Finally, but certainly not least, Thanos the owner, Caterina his wife and Maria, Thanos’s mother showed us such hospitality, generosity of spirit, kindness and a genuine desire to make every moment of our holiday most enjoyable. They succeeded - it was perfect from arrival to departure (which came far too soon). We are going to return next year for a longer stay and are already counting down the days. We cannot thank the full team at Mitos Village enough. Thank you.

We spent a few days at the Mitos Village hotel. The experience was outstanding, largely due to the warm and friendly manners and help from the hotel manager, Thanos. The rooms were large and very clean. Breakfast was very good. The hotel is located in Chersonissos, a small town about 15 minutes drive from Heraklion. The hotel location is pastoral and very quiet although not at all remote. A car is recommended.

What can I say about this lovely family run hotel! It is amazing. Thanos who owns the hotel is a super business man who is able to make you feel like you are one of the family from the minute you get there. His mother and wife also work in the hotel behind the bar and sorting out breakfasts etc and nothing is ever a problem. I got extremely bitten and they became hugely infected, every morning they checked in with me to make sure how it was getting on and even got me antibiotic cream to help with it. This is not a big chain hotel and for me this was perfect, its a relatively small personal hotel with a stunning pool area. The rooms are big and the only reason I gave them a 4 star was i feel the air-conditioning could be a little better. The hotel is kept spotless by Maria and Alex, I've never seen an ounce of dirt anywhere. Public areas immaculate! Pool towels given when you arrive which is a great help. The breakfast is beautiful in the mornings, everything is cooked fresh onsite. It's nicely positioned too as it is just outside old hersonnasis where there is a lovely little square to have lunch or dinner, a few shops and a chemist. Hersonnasis is about 10 minutes in a taxi and you are on the ***** or a 30 min walk if you are adventurous. Overall I would hugely recommend this hotel and Thanos & his team. You won't be disappointed if you are looking for a personal holiday with a family feel hotel. We will def be back!
