Sarpidon Apartments ★★★
"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Best Place to Stay in Malia! We honestly cannot recommend this place enough — it is truly the best place to stay in Malia! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome and completely at home. Dora and her staff made our holiday even more special with the way she looked after us. Her kindness and hospitality were incredible, and she made us feel like part of the family. We actually ended up staying longer because we simply didn’t want to leave! The hotel has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and you genuinely feel like you’re part of the family rather than just another guest. The whole experience has been amazing, and we cannot wait to come back next year. And the funniest part is… we haven’t even left yet and we’re already missing it! 😂 Thank you so much for making our holiday so special. We will definitely be back! ❤️ Diolch 🏴 Ευχαριστώ 🇬🇷"

"Awesome! ^^"
Maria Rousse ★★★
"A lovely holiday! Went on girls holiday in July and had the most amazing experience and time. The location was perfect less then 5 min walk to Malia strip. 10 min walk from the beach. 5 min walk to old town Malia. Supermarket at the end of the road. No need for taxis or Ubers due to ideal location. We had 2 rooms a 3 bed and a 2 bed. Both rooms had kitchen facilities and was beautful and spacious. The staff was amazing and the most loveliest and friendly team from bar staff to reception to security. Made you feel very welcomed and safe. The hotel had 2 large pools and plenty of sun beds. The food and drinks were great value for money and cheap and good quality. I would 100% recommended this hotel and would come back and stay in the future, no doubts or faults. Honestly "
Creta Verano Hotel ★★★
"Really good facilities the manager in charge was helpful and made it easy and quality of place was good"
Enorme Infinity Beach ex Infinity Blue ★★★★
"The hotel is conveniently located right by the beach. The daily room cleaning is perfunctory and not thorough. The food is bland and repetitive."
Le Palme ★★★
"Absolutely loved this hotel. There was daily room service and they kept the room spotlessly clean . The staff was kind and very friendly, with impeccable service . Will definitely visit again.Highly recommended !"
Skipper Beachfront Suites ★★★
Dedalos Hotel ★★★
"A lovely place to stay with the lads, walls were thick enough so we couldn’t here robert getting piped . Regardless, a nice place for a lads holiday but you might want to watch out for Ian. He’s an absolute specimen. The pool was lovely on hot days with the lads. Just watch out for Ian. Another review had issues with him as well so maybe it’s a theme."

"Good. The facilities are quite good. The worst part is the beach and the food. For a 4-star hotel, the quality and variety are a bit lacking."
Erato Hotel
"Great location! We really like the sandy beach! Very friendly and helpful stuff; the food was amazing, very delicious! We really liked that you can rent the car directly in the hotel! We would highly recommend this hotel! We will definitely come back! Thank you amazing stuff for making our holiday so special! Thank you also for the Greek evening, it was a lot of fun!"
Saint George Gournes Bay "by Checkin" Adults Only
"The accommodation is fantastic. It's halfway between Heraklion and Hersonissos. The staff is incredibly attentive. The pool gets sun all day, which is perfect for cooling off and relaxing on the sun loungers. There's a small beach with sun loungers just a 2-minute walk away, as well as the aquarium."
Central Hersonissos Hotel
"The hotel is in a quiet location, just off the main road, so there's no noise at night time from bars etc. All the staff at the hotel were really friendly and helpful. When I first arrived, it was quite late and had an issue with the air-conditioning not working. I went across to the reception, and someone came over to fix it right away! They had also saved me some light salad/ cheeses/ meats as it was past the dinner time, which I thought was really nice. Special shout outs to Genti the barman, who was really funny; friendly and helpful, Elli and Yannis at reception, and the waiting staff at breakfast and dinner all lovely, friendly and helpful as I was travelling solo. They are all there to answer any questions you may have. The bar prices are really reasonable, €3.50 (£3.06) for a glass of local wine! The breakfast and dinner were also good, plenty of variety. But I am not a fussy eater, so there was always something I could eat. Pool area is very quiet and doesnt really get much sun in the day time until later, I only spent my first day around the pool and was alone most of the time, the rest of the time I went to the beach or excursions. There is also a book shelf to borrow a book to read whilst on holiday. My room was across in the Annex building, but was perfectly clean for a 3* hotel. There is a small fridge which was a little noisy but that's to be expected. And the balcony faced the street but again, not much noise on a night time. It does mention that towels are only cleaned once every 2 days, but in a 7 day-stay, I think my bedding was only changed twice, so the cleaning schedule is a bit sporadic. This was my only issue. There are plenty of supermarkets, pharmacies, and public transport nearby. Nearby one of my favourites to visit was Mare Mio beach and resto, €10 for a sunbed for the day and the food was lovely. I can also recommend a visit to Knossos Palace and Heraklion and Spinolonga island with Elounda and Agios Nikolas. Thanks for a great stay! You made a solo traveller feel very welcome :)"

"Mixed bag had 2 rooms as went as a family our room was ok but other room wasent as clean staff at breakfast and tea time were lovely pools were great for us as a family with a child food was ok something for everyone but salty towels provided at pools and beach says 5star but others members in family said compared to other place they have been it wasn't 5star the guest services lady was lovely the manager was lovely but the concierge was not very good I cancelled a restaurant as she dint book it for all of us still got a reminder as she had not cancelled it we could not book al la carte restaurants for all of us as we we told no room although the reception told us we could book 2 days before so book before you go on the Wednesday we got a phone call to the room to go to reception when we got their we were asked if we would like to go to the sister hotel rinella they said it was a marketing thing they do we did go to the sister hotel we had a nice time their but it is aimed at family's which is great but we have pros and cons from both hotels royal mare we perfured the lay out felt not so cramped and the shops were nicer pools better for kids and staff we nicer in rinella hotel felt very closed in shop wasent as good staff were not as nice pool was not good for kids as to deep and the paddling pool was only good for toddlers and baby's 2 of our party liked the food more here than the other hotel the way you could get crepes and snacks was better at rinella as you waited to get it yourself the waiter we had at our meal on the Friday evening was amazing think they said his name was george we were given a lovely room at rinella with sea view only downfall for me was the steps to get to it managed for the two days we were their but a week would not of been good as got a bad knee"
Village Heights Resort
"There are many pomegranate trees. It is fun to squeeze your own juice for breakfast in the morning. On the last day, I found that the swimming pool behind the hotel reception is a heated swimming pool. It's just that the opening hours are too short."
Abaton Island Resort & Spa
"Great value for money and beautiful scenery! Breakfast is also good!"
Paralos Kosta Alímia
"I had an amazing five-night vacation at Paralos Kosta Alimia. The beachfront location, infinity pool overlooking the sea, and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect place to relax. The rooms were stylish, modern, and exceptionally comfortable, while every member of staff was genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive. The five restaurants offered excellent cuisine and outstanding service, with attentive waiter service throughout. The delicious breakfast and dinner, together with the live music at sunset, made each evening special. If you're looking for a luxurious and tranquil getaway, Paralos Kosta Alimia is a destination I would gladly return to and highly recommend."

Stella Blue Seaside Resort
"6 of us between the age of 38 and 68 stayed here in May. The area is quiet and not suitable for those looking for more lively atmosphere. It was a relaxation holiday for us and the hotel and staff did a perfect job in every way. The food options here very much focus on quality over quantity. We found buffet food to be fresh and replenished often but sometimes food was not that hot. The food in the a La carte restaurants was amazing! The Lobster ravioli and the T bone steak were my favourite meals. The staff here genuinely care and want you to have a great time. Ranya and Marina in guest relations are brilliant. Ranya knew as a group we would struggle to get booked into the restaurants so did this for us ahead of us speaking to her - great service! Other staff members that made our stay great were Michael, Christian, Abi, Nefeii, Gopell, George and the lads helping run the drinks in the lobby and also the waitresses in the Asian lunch restaurant. The lady in the spa was very friendly she helped us secure spa access every morning for my Dad who needed it for health reasons. The spa is limited to 6 people at any time which means it does not get crowded. Management are present and you can see they are working hard to make the service excellent but at times it is noticeably a hinderance. We sat down for lunch at the Asian restaurant and due to management intervention that day we ended up being served last when we had sat down first because the manager insisted the waitress serve in a certain order. Bit frustrating for staff and customers. We used the spa for a tranquil couple of mornings out of the sun and for a massage. Keep an eye on the app for spa offers, we had a shoulder massage with 1hr spa access for €50, the quality of the treatment was really good and professional. Pool towels and beds are comfortable. Cocktails are freshly made and were nice. The hotel could benefit from a water refill station to save queuing for a drink as quite often we noticed the bar was under staffed for the amount of guests. It would be great if ice cream was freely available like most other all inclusive 4* and above but here it was only available at the a La carte restaurants. Entertainment here is sophisticated and fairly minimal don’t expect Benidorm style entertainment because it’s not that sort of place. We had a comfort double room on the ground floor. Rooms are not very sound proof so take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. There are free shower rooms, fitted with toiletries, towels and hair dryer if you have a late flight and don’t wish to pay €95 for the late checkout. Don’t hesitate to book this you won’t be disappointed!"
Glaros Beach Hotel
"Absolutely amazing hotel and staff! All of the staff go above and beyond to please their hotel residents. My son has a nut allergy and the head server and chef went through all the food that were safe for him to eat. They then went out of their way to ensure their was lots of variety of foods for him to choose from each always checking in with us each evening to ensure he was ok. One particular evening, his favourite dessert was not on display and the chef asked if everything was alright, when I joked there was no jelly, he appeared with a few jellies for him. Outstanding customer service! Waiters and cleaners were also extremely attentive, the waiters joked with our daughter calling her 'Max' as she looked liked Max from Stranger Things and the cleaners always left our rooms spotless, leaving sweets on the pillow or displaying our pjs on the bed. All of these little extras did not go unnoticed and we appreciated it all. Thank you for all working so hard as a team after the sandstorm, you all seemed to be there from morning until night cleaning the sand off the sun loungers and making everyone's stay the best it could be and it certainly paid off. Thank you for making our holiday a memorable one, we had a fantastic time and a lot of that was down to your hotel and your amazing staff!"
The Nest Resort
"Room: sea view room was beautifully designed; simple and attractive. Spotlessly clean. Outside; the pool was also immaculately clean with lots of sun beds and cabanas. My only suggestion would be to have a bit more shade. Food; the food was fine. Nothing exceptional and a bit pricey compared to the rest of the island but it was ok. Location; it’s a little way to walk if you want to visit other restaurants but the view is amazing. My photos don’t do it justice. There’s a lovely sea breeze. Staff; this is where The Nest really shines; every single member of staff was amazing. So friendly, thoughtful and kind. I honestly cannot give enough praise to the staff. They were simply wonderful."
