Mitsis Cretan Village

The best time I ever had!! I can only recommend to visit this beautiful place. You’ll have loving and caring and very nice people. Everyone speaks very good englisch and several other languages. The rooms are beautiful, clean and you have enough space. The clean the rooms daily and they refill the fridge. The food, the view.. guys I don’t even know where to start. You MUST see this!!! We’ve been to other Mitsis hotels and this wasn’t of the same standard. Some staff were nice while others not v helpful. The food offerings weren’t as varied as in other hotels of the chain. Also one night we were left without aircon (in the middle of a heatwave) without explanation or apology or compensation. It was the case across the whole hotel. The entertainment was cheesy but fun.

We booked transportation from the airport and there was a confusion with that. Accidents happen but it is all about how these issues are handled. I discussed with Eva Fragkiadaki and she was very polite, took care of the issue and made sure that our 2 week holiday would be otherwise perfect. This is exactly what happened and I want to thank Eva for her hospitality. I travel a lot, both for work and for business so I consider myself being able to compare different aspects of a resort. I have been to Greece ~15 times. Cretan Village was by all means not the most luxurious resort I’ve been to but very good value of money. Few highlights include: - Top service and hospitality - Good family room for 5 people (2+3) with proper beds all and 2 separate A/Cs - Food quality was high for a resort while the selection wasn’t very extensive. Both a la carte restaurants were surprisingly nice, make sure you try them. They also have kids menu with the basics. - Views to the sea from the large buffet restaurant (and also a la carte) were magnificient - Gyros on the beach, pizza and crepes on the poolside. Nice snacks always available. - Drinks especially in the reception bar were really nice for an all inclusive resort! - Nice pools and beach and a safe waterslide for kids - Kids club had gret staff and our kids loved it - Several self-service points for water, soft drinks and beer from which you can get those whenever you want without queues, e.g., to enjoy them on your terrace Few points to consider: - Some small makeover could be done for some parts of the resort. I heard this is going to happen soon as the hotel is now under Mitsis brand - Bring (or buy) shoes for the beach as there are some rocks very close to the shore. Very nice snorkling opportunities. - Basic issue of people reserving the sunbeds early but not half as bad as in some larger resorts To conclude: exceptional value for money coupled with great hospitality and service. If you want a good family holiday enjoying all inclusive treats, consider Cretan Village. We certainly consider going again!

Nice hotel Pros nicely decorated rooms Buffet pretty good excellent ala carts Good choice of swimming pools Cons not the best location not many bars restaurants close to the hotel 40 minute walk into hersonossis Beach ok but masses of sea**** sometimes cleared but just pushed into a big pile into the corner loads of rocks underneath the water which mostly can't be seen whe the waters not clear which was most of the time when we we're there I know its a family hotel but loads of unsupervised kids running around out of term time Reception staff unhelpful and mini bar not restocked had to complain and then not restocked til the following day tried to request late check out but was told to come back next day at 11 despite check out being at 12 only to be told no availability? Special mention to a wonderful man at the evening pool bar he's an absolute star and gentleman and made our holiday the wonderful Nagy Overall had a good holiday but lots of room for improvement

When we first arrived it was really unfortunate to find out our rooms had maintenance issues and so we were transferred to another local hotel. Though this was disappointing the staff here were faultless in their efforts to still make our holiday one to remember by ensuring we were moved with our friends and confirming we could still use the facilities here as well as have a free spa day for the adults (including free taxi transportation between hotels). A couple of days into our holiday we took advantage to visit the hotel in its full glory and fell in love with Mitsis Cretan Village. We asked if any rooms were now ready for us to move back here as the hotel we were moved to, though wonderful, it wasn’t here and it wasn’t for us. The staff were amazing and made it work for us to be able to have 2 nights here. Our sea view family rooms are beautiful, the beach is incredibly accessible and can see back to the slide etc, all in easy walking distance, perfect for snorkelling in, the food has something for everyone (the children especially love the all day crepe station and pizza!), the cocktails are amazing and the barmen make everything you ask for, even ones not on the menu (read the small print!), the evening music entertainment is fab, the pools are lovely with pool side music playing all day and as a bonus they’ve agreed late checkout for free for us so we can thoroughly enjoy our last day before flying home! Highly recommended! We’ll be back!

As a family we have already been to more than 5 resorts in greece/turkey/egypt Positive Very international crowd Lovely sea water in most pools Resort has an authentic greek feel and design Staff really friendly and smiley Good food The International Animation crowd has some real laugh-out-loud performances To be improved The brand of beer served -Magnus- is very poor in taste and quality and you will get your tummy to rumble (gin also tasted iffy) Not enough natural shade (could have more taller trees) Food bit repetitive and hard to get a good choice after 1 week Resort dominated by french animators (whom I think don't even speak English) Level of cleaning not top notch (there were smudges on our floor after mopping, our balcony was never mopped or cleaned) NOTE: watch out what family room your tour operator, travel agency offers you. There are two types, one is great for a family of 4! The other is essentially a single room with 4 beds and feels cramped. You get no privacy from your kiddos in it.

Amazing hotel! Great for families. So much for everyone to do. Animation program fantastic for children and adults, including water polo, table tennis, volleyball and so much more. Animation team always enthusiastic and staff happy to help with all your needs. Clean and tidy hotel with spacious rooms. Food really tasty with so much choice. Every night with a different theme for food. Will definitely return. Thank you for a great holiday!!!

Vers good clubs with direct access to beach all staff are Kind especially popi .and Nagy bartender near swimming pool food are vers good but dîner room are toi noisy Good music to danse all evening and room are vert cute but sometimes toi old To sum up good holyday for the price

It was a wonderful vacation. The hotel is great, the staff is very friendly, courteous and helpful. Some little things were promptly fulfilled. Our room was a bit older but very clean. The layout of the pools is great, although changing rooms and separate showers are unfortunately missing. There is a pool bar at every pool, so you don't have to walk far if you're thirsty. 24h food is crazy! The food was very good. Whether at the buffet or in the a la carte restaurants. All in all a super great holiday, thanks to the whole team at the hotel.
