There was no free bottled water so I requested it but it was brought to me in 2 hours. The welcome service and face-to-face meeting were very friendly but the room service was a bit slow. It was okay to take a taxi because it was on the outskirts but there was no taxi when checking out.

This is an impeccable hotel in every aspect. Beautiful scenery, delicious food, large and well-designed rooms, and four wardrobes for luggage. I will stay here again.

Doorman: Warm welcome, luggage, valet parking (hotel parking is not free, about 30 euros per night). After delivering the luggage to the room, the coat will be carefully hung in the closet. Bags and other sundries are also placed in the closet. Good reviews. Room: Quite satisfactory. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks in the minibar are all included. Restaurant: After checking in, we ate every meal in the hotel. Several restaurants are good and the breakfast is rich. Spa: The hotel has a free spa. Everyone remember to bring a swimsuit. We forgot to bring a sauna. The swimsuit sold by the hotel costs 400 euros and the style is not what we like. Other items such as massage are charged. The housekeeping team needs to improve: As soon as we entered the room, there was a wilted flower scattered on the floor. It should be left after cleaning. And they forgot to give us hand soap. Tips: The staff we met were very enthusiastic. We followed the local customs and gave some tips to the waiter who made the night bed, the doorman, and the staff who helped us park the car.

Take a swim among the green mountains and green waters, and stay in the renovated hotel. It feels leisurely and comfortable. I stayed for three nights and never left the hotel. I feel that the most beautiful scenery is all within the hotel.

[A Small Fresh German-Austrian 18th Anniversary Tour 2006-2024] Schloss Fuschl Rosewood, located at Lake Fuschl in Salzburg, was newly opened this summer. You must stay here when you come to Salzburg to experience the castle where Princess Sissi lived.
1. The hotel service is very considerate: from the moment we drive to the hotel, there will be staff to help us park the car, and take the luggage from the car to the room according to our requirements. When checking in, we will be given a drink that is said to be Princess Sissi's favorite. Isn't it a sour plum soup with various mixed berries? Then the butler in charge of us is a handsome Austrian boy. He will take us around the hotel like Liu Laolao entering the Grand View Garden, and then introduce one by one. Knowing that I am a fan of Princess Sissi, I have watched the movie nearly 30 times since childhood, and I will go abroad to watch Princess Sissi's musical. He was also a little surprised and told me that there is also a Princess Sissi Museum in the hotel, which is full of super exquisite treasures!
2. The hotel is in a great location: right by Lake Fuschl. We booked a terrace room. You can open the French windows and walk to the terrace to drink tea facing the lake. There is also Emperor Franz Joseph's suite upstairs.
3. If I have to say the shortcomings of the hotel, it is: the road signs are not big enough and not clear enough, especially when driving from the winding mountain road. Even if I always use Google navigation, it is easy to miss the narrow path leading to the hotel; and there is a narrow road with a 45-degree downhill slope at the entrance of the hotel. It is a bit embarrassing if you encounter driving in the opposite direction😅
4. The hotel's dining is so-so: It's hard to say about eating here... Because I knew before I came that this was a hotel in the countryside and there were no restaurants nearby, so I booked the see terrace by email early. Who knew that the lake view global gourmet restaurant was closed due to weather reasons, and only the Schloss restaurant (castle restaurant) was open. I was disappointed. It's over. It's a meal in a food desert again. As expected, there are very few choices on the menu, only fried pork chops, grilled fish, steaks, etc. I ordered mushroom soup, rib-eye steak, and soufflé. The steak was good, but the sauce was not good. I asked the waiter to add black pepper. The soufflé was huge. The taste was good, but with the plum sauce, it was the kind of sweet that Europeans and Americans like... I wanted to go back to the room and eat the canned fried dace that I bought at Go Asian supermarket before coming here! Overall, this Rosewood is very suitable for vacation and enjoy a slow life!

I stayed at the Rosewood Schloss Fuschl with my family for 4 nights in September and had one of the best holidays I have ever had. We wanted to stay forever! The hotel was extremely comfortable and stylish, we loved the way it was laid out - there were so many different rooms to explore. We ate in all of the restaurants, which were all superb. The spa was perfect, with so many little touches that made it feel that much more luxurious. We took part in a lot of the activities organised by the hotel, which were great. A favourite was the hike with Martina. The main reason that our stay was so magical was the service. Before we arrived I had been emailing both of the concierges to organise a birthday surprise for my mother. They could not have been more helpful and really went above and beyond to make her birthday, and our whole stay, special. They ended up organising for a local brass band to come and play a private concert for my mother in the hotel's courtyard! Every member of the Rosewood staff that we encountered seemed to take real pride in their job and went out of their way to make our stay the most enjoyable and comfortable. One particular highlight was being offered a tour of the wine cellar with the sommelier whilst we waited for our pudding one evening. I could not recommend this hotel more. We can't wait to come back!

The setting is out of a movie. Exactly what you would expect a hide a way in Austria to look like. The hotel is an old castle I believe, that has been newly renovated. Cosmetically it is pristine. When you walk into your room the crisp white duvet makes you want to get in bed and never leave. The literature said that there are six restaurants. When we were there, we knew of 1.5 restaurants. There is the main restaurant that has a direct view of the lake. Very beautiful. The food is five star for sure and what we ate was delicious but it seemed that the menu did not vary. We were there three nights. We were told that the second restaurant was closed but that we could eat from that menu if we wanted to sit at the bar or the bar room (that has soft seating). We did that one night and the food was excellent. In sum, there appears to be only one main restaurant at this time. The spa is gorgeous. Sleek and modern and very Scandinavian looking. It all looks brand new. The pool goes from indoor to outdoor and is gorgeous with water that dares not lap over the sides. There are saunas all brand new and immaculate. Because it’s so new it is definitely going through growing pains as to be expected. The staff is polite but tentative. In sum, a great venue for some rest and relaxation with as much culture/activity as you would like.

The most magical place I have ever visited. Perfectly poised between the stunning backdrop of the Austrian Alps and elevated by the designers of Rosewood: The cutting edge artistry blending new with old, the history which is revered, the lake Club, the service quality, the unique amenities - all unforgettable. I will return to feel that incredible soul rejuvenating sense again. And I will never stop recommending this property.

Schloss Fuschl is definitely the best hotel in Salzburg area which allows you to combine a relaxed type of holiday on the lake with attending the Festival and fine dining. Me and my family, being for many years Fuschl’s returning guests, were awaiting its reopening with great anxiety, happy to be able to include a week at Fuschl lake in our summer schedule. Upon arrival, we were glad to discover that the renovation has not changed the historical ambience of the place. Overall, we had a great week in Schloss Fuschl and I was considering to give it a four out of five. The one point off is due to the change of breakfast concept which we didn’t appreciate. Old Schloss used to have a high quality breakfast buffet which we liked a lot. The new a la carte concept is probably aimed at saving money to the hotel but for guests it’s less convenient - you loose time waiting, you have much less freedom and variety while picking your breakfast selection, you never know the size of portions when ordering for the first time, etc. We’re strongly against a la carte breakfasts. The reason I’m giving it a three and not a four is that today, on our last day of staying, the hotel staff did everything possible to screw the day for us. First the concierge did not give the taxi driver a correct name and location of the restaurant that we booked and so we ended up in a wrong place, secondly our room cleaning was not done until 3pm even though we asked for 10am every day and last but not least - the spa manager Eva and the jetty guy Yann decided to cancel our pre-booked 1-hour boat trip because of 15% chance of rain for the time when the trip was supposed to finish. We were told this only after coming all the way down to the jetty and then Eva was also openly lying to her colleague saying that she apparently called me to the room and warned about the rain. Well, now as I’m writing this review, two hours have passed and there is still no rain. I was deeply offended by how Yann, Eva and the third lady in blue dress of Hindu appearance handled this situation, seeing the sun shining and four customers staying by the boat ready to board. We would also suggest the hotel to establish Whatapp chats with arriving guests to improve communication. The guest service button on the hotel phone rarely worked because nobody answered the calls.

I recently stayed at the newly renovated Schloss Fuschl, a hotel that boasts a truly breathtaking location near Salzburg. Nestled beside one of the most stunning lakes in the world, the natural beauty surrounding this property is nothing short of spectacular. The serene waters, framed by lush, rolling hills and vibrant greenery, create a picturesque backdrop that is almost otherworldly. It’s easy to lose yourself in the tranquil environment, with the glistening lake reflecting the sky and the calmness of nature seeping into your soul. The decor of the hotel itself is exceptional, seamlessly blending modern luxury with classic charm, making it a feast for the eyes at every turn. However, despite the unparalleled beauty of the setting and the impressive decor, the experience at Schloss Fuschl was unfortunately marred by significant issues with service. The hotel, having opened only a month ago, clearly needed a soft opening period to address operational inefficiencies before welcoming outside guests. The service was disorganized, with staff morale appearing to be notably low. This led to an experience that fell far short of the standards one would expect from a Rosewood property, especially given the exorbitant cost of staying here. Upon arrival, we made our way to the dock, hoping to enjoy the remaining daylight by the lake. Unfortunately, the dock was filthy, littered with dirty towels and dishes, and there was no staff member in sight to assist us. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing, particularly given that there were still several hours of daylight left to enjoy the lake. The unkempt state of such a central part of the hotel’s outdoor experience was unacceptable. Dinner was another disappointing experience. The restaurant was packed with outside guests, making it nearly impossible for us, as hotel guests, to find a proper table. We were forced to sit at the bar while waiting, and even after the restaurant cleared out, no one came to offer us a table. The staff seemed overwhelmed and unresponsive, consistently telling us they were too busy whenever we tried to place a drink or food order. Upon further observation, it was clear that the front management had set the servers up for failure, which is inexcusable. While I understand that new openings can come with challenges, the issues at Schloss Fuschl go beyond typical growing pains. The service problems are severe enough to detract from the overall experience, making it difficult to enjoy the hotel’s otherwise outstanding location and decor. The Rosewood brand is known for its impeccable service, but unfortunately, this property falls short of that reputation. For travelers considering a stay here, I would recommend canceling your reservation if you are still within your cancellation window. The hotel is not ready to be open, and the experience is not worth the high cost. The management needs to take immediate action to resolve these issues before this beautiful property’s re

Nice attempt, but service is quite mediocre, the staff isn’t trained properly, the rooms we were staying were missing handles on the toilet doors, or there were no “do not disturb” signs. It was quite a quest to reach someone on the desk, too. The spa phone went right onto voicemail too. But the place is amazing and the views are to die for.

Beautiful new resort. We stayed at the chalet. There were a few issues, however staff worked hard to resolve them quickly. Butler services at the chalet were exceptional. The views are gorgeous. Great experience at the Schloss restaurant. We will be back.
