XXNYLMy friend and I enjoyed our stay in the 'Yunxi 270° Seaview Terrace Double Bed Room' at Dali.Muxi Inn (大理木兮·半山Villa海景民宿). We found this hotel via reviews on XiaoHongShu and the room looked exactly like the stock photos. The hotel and room were beautiful, the hotel staff were very helpful, and we would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Dali and are looking for a hotel with an amazing view of Dali Erhai lake.
Number of nights of stay: 3 nights
Hotel location: The hotel is situated in a quiet but brightly lit residential/hotel estate at the end of winding uphill road (around the Dreamland/Santorini 圣托里尼大理理想邦 area), and is located about 20 minutes away from Dali Railway Station. The vehicle drop-off point is directly outside the hotel. The restaurants around the hotel close at about 8.30pm-9pm
Room: The 'Yunxi 270° Seaview Terrace Double Bed Room' is the only room located on the fifth floor. There is a lift in the hotel so it was convenient to transport our luggage. The room was perfect - it was really spacious, beautiful and clean. There was one king-sized bed, which was slightly too soft for my liking, but the pillows (one soft and one firmer memory foam pillow for each guest) were comfortable. There was a large living area with a sofa, three coffee tables and two additional chairs; balcony with two comfortable rocking chairs, a coffee table and a stunning view of the Erhai lake. The sky roof, when opened, was pretty in the daytime but it was difficult to see the stars at night due to the light pollution from the nearby buildings. The open concept wardrobe was large enough for us to hang our clothes
Bathroom: Two sinks, separate shower and toilet area, one jacuzzi. Toiletries (e.g. shampoo, conditioner and body soap), disposable toothbrush/toothpaste, rubber bathroom slippers and disposable bedroom slippers were provided. The shower had both a handheld shower head and rain shower, with good water pressure and temperature
Hotel amenities: Complimentary breakfast (from 8.30am-10.30am; delicious spread of noodles with soup, porridge, fried egg, bread and vegetable platter) and afternoon tea (Lotus Biscoff biscuits, yoghurt, fruits and plums); cafe at the reception area is opened during office hours and only sells beverages; beautiful reception area with a friendly and gentle 5-year-old house cat; communal washing machine (free of charge, inclusive of laundry detergent)
Transfer: Free airport pick-up for this room type. No free pick-up from Dali railway station

GGuest UserThe B&B owner is super nice! We were upgraded to a bigger room because the room was not cleaned on the day we checked in. This B&B has no shortcomings in terms of geographical location, hygiene, facilities, etc. The proprietress will pick you up and drop you off at the ancient city and the farm. There was a particularly warm library, and we spent the entire afternoon there on our first day.
The room is very large and has all the necessary facilities. The entire homestay is so beautiful that it looks great no matter how you take photos of it. There are some small animals on the farm on the mountain. The calves and lambs all look very healthy. The whole homestay gives people a very relaxing atmosphere. You can take pictures of the stars from the rooftop of the restaurant. There is a large field at the door, and the view is super good without any obstruction. Because they are the first one at the entrance of the village, other B&Bs probably don’t have such a good view. The breakfast provided by the B&B is super delicious, with fresh milk that was just squeezed that day and a variety of fresh vegetables. If you don't want to go out for lunch or dinner, the B&B can also provide it. The meals are all fresh, and the vegetables just picked from the field will be super delicious if you just stir-fry them. The staff are also very friendly.
If I return to Shaxi Ancient Town for tourism, I will definitely stay at their place again.

super convenient. The service was great from the staff. Although location was a bit confusing to find, the staff came out and led our driver to the right place for check in. You can see Cangshan and erhai from the apartment. There's not a lot of food places around as the apartment is on a small mountain apartment complex. However ordering take out is very convenient from your room. Overall a great stay.

JJane.TI recently stayed at a hotel in Dali, Yunnan, and had an overall pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the room and common areas was impressive — everything was well-maintained and tidy, which made the stay comfortable and relaxing.
The service stood out as one of the highlights. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help with directions or local recommendations. They made check-in and check-out smooth and stress-free.
But would like to comment on the photoshooting service that this hotel provided, although they stated it’s free, but each room ONLY FREE 5 PIECES NON EDIT photos no matter how many days you stay. So please don’t ask for this service if you don’t want your pocket to have a hole 🤣, would recommend you to have the traditional costume shoot in Lijiang or Shangrila which will cost in cheaper price where they can provide costume rental and full make up. This hotel they charge a very high price for the photoshooting if you want to buy the photos from them.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lijiang, if they like photoshooting. Or else you can stay in other better choices hotels.

GGuest UserI stayed in a very cost-effective homestay in Dali. The environment is very beautiful. There is a hydrangea garden that is very suitable for taking pictures. There is also a tea room. You can drink tea in the afternoon and look at the bottomless sea on the terrace. The room facilities are very good, equipped with a Dyson hair dryer. The toiletries should also be branded and easy to use. There are also electric cars available to go around the sea nearby, recommended!

GGuest UserIt's really a surprise to live here! Go out and walk to the ecological corridor for a minute. You can feel the wind of the Bohai Sea when you lift your feet. The green plants on the shore are fresh as if they have just been rained, and the air is full of refreshing smells. More rare, the whole area is very clean, even the slate cracks are not a little debris, walking on the road mood followed by transparent. The boss who wants to praise most is the boss. He greeted him warmly from the door, helped with luggage, talked about the surrounding gameplay, even which corridor is suitable for watching the sunset, which restaurant is delicious, and it is as kind as entertaining his relatives. Living here is not only a place to live, but also like a warm-hearted friend. I will definitely choose here next time I come to Bohai!

GGuest UserThe staff was super friendly. We have 2 large luggages and he was willing to carry both on the way walking to the hotel. The room is very clean and has a minimal design. Super chill. The view is perfect, we could clearly see the mountains and ancient buildings. At night, the place is very quiet even though there is a market outside, super nice place. I really love this hotel and would love to come back

BBrendaStaff was great and were helpful. They had hot Pu'er tea, milk tea, and rose tea at the lobby. Suggest requesting first floor for older folks because there is no elevator. 7 min walk to Dali Ancient City, 3 min walk out to a main street where a ton of food street vendors set up in the evening.

GGuest UserIt has a bit of Chinese style, with the accumulation of time, and a high level of artistic elements. For friends who like taking photos, the Ancient City Going Down the Mountain is very photogenic. This is the hotel I stay in every time I come to Dali. Now, after watching the Ancient City Going Down the Mountain, I still feel unsatisfied.

GGuest UserFirst, the correct name of the hotel is Xiting not Yuting. There was a bit of misunderstanding over which room we booked, which I take to be the result of language communication between Trip.com and the hotel. But the manager was very sweet and Accommodating. The rooms are lovely and it’s in a good location in the old city but relatively quiet.
