Stepping into the scenic area of Dingnan Hakka Ancient Town, you'll find yourself wandering along winding bluestone paths, enveloped by an atmosphere of timeless charm. Here, nestled quietly among the historic surroundings, lies the Aiguqin Academy Homestay.
This carefully restored heritage building perfectly preserves the poetic essence of traditional architecture while seamlessly incorporating modern comforts. Its private courtyard flourishes with vibrant flowers and plants, where sunlight filters through leafy canopies to create dancing shadows. Settle into the courtyard's wicker chair with a cup of freshly brewed tea, listen to the wind's gentle whispers, and feel time gracefully slow to a standstill.
The homestay offers a variety of thoughtfully designed accommodations: standalone villas that provide secluded tranquility like your own personal sanctuary, and family suites that radiate warmth and childlike wonder - perfect for creating precious family moments. Every space features solid wood furnishings in a tasteful mid-century style, with visible wood grains and a soothing tactile warmth that speaks of meticulous craftsmanship. The overall aesthetic exudes understated elegance - quietly sophisticated and effortlessly refined.
Here, you can gather with friends to brew tea over gentle fire, share heartfelt conversations, and savor rare moments of peace. Far removed from urban clamor, the Aiguqin Academy Homestay offers that precious inner sanctuary we all seek - a place where beautiful holiday memories are made to last a lifetime.

Very satisfied with the stay experience, I found this small ancient city on the way back to Guangzhou from Lingshi Hot Spring, and found this very new homestay. First of all, the aboriginal people and service staff in the ancient city are very simple people. Although they are all commercialized, people are gentle and considerate. The layout of the homestay is very thoughtful, surrounded by flowers and birds at all times, and the guests sitting in the public area with their little sister will inevitably send a pot of fennel black tea. The room was clean and tidy, and there was a small living room on Tanabata, which felt like home.
There is no one at the front desk of the hotel, the room is delayed, and the attitude is perfunctory. Fortunately, the restaurant tastes good and Manager Huang has a good attitude.
Half of the shops in the ancient city opened after the festival, and the service attitude was average. The snack bar tastes ordinary, and the service staff of the Hakka rice noodle shop have a bad attitude. We have eaten an omelette and did not pay the bill. After figuring it out, we did not apologize.
There are also staff with good service attitude, but I feel that the whole has not been trained in basic services, and most of them are temporary employment.
The only comfort is that the view of the ancient city is OK.
