👍👍👍 I had a wonderful stay at Tongmu Youmingju Homestay and can highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Tongmu area. The homestay is located in a beautiful and peaceful natural setting, surrounded by mountains and forest. One of my favorite experiences was enjoying excellent local tea while sitting right next to the river, breathing the fresh mountain air and listening to the sound of the water. It is the perfect place to relax and experience the authentic atmosphere of Tongmu. The hosts are exceptionally kind, welcoming and always ready to help with anything. They made me feel like a guest in their home rather than just a customer. The homemade food was another highlight. Every meal was fresh, authentic and absolutely delicious. It was some of the best local food I had during my trip. As a tea enthusiast, I especially appreciated staying with a family that truly understands the local tea culture. Their knowledge and hospitality made my visit even more memorable. I genuinely enjoyed every day of my stay and was sad to leave. I will definitely come back, and from now on this will be my permanent place to stay whenever I visit the Wuyishan and Tongmu area. Thank you for your warm hospitality. We were delighted to have found and stayed at this property. Minzhushanfang is a very new bed-and-breakfast accommodation with a minimalist, calming, zen-style architecture befitting of the Wuyishan area. The rooms are similarly designed along the same minimalist, zen concept and are true to the property photos published on the booking platform. We deliberately chose an accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of town and so, found the location of Mingzhushanfang excellent. Located directly across from the entrance of the Wuyishan scenic area, it was very convenient accessing the park while being peaceful and tranquil. Do note that with its location being away from town centre, dining options at or near the property aren't many, so having dinner near town, prior to heading back to the hotel at night is strongly recommended. The room we booked has a peaceful stream view, and looks remotely across towards the Dawangfeng peak. Room and facilities are very clean. While it seems smoking is not prohibited in the rooms, we were very thankful we had no issues whatsoever with residual smoke odour. The owners of this property, who are also tea growers and manufacturers, were extremely hospitable. We were always welcomed for candid tea tastings and conversation at the lobby area, They even went out of their way to help us when we got abit lost in town! Their breakfast made by their Ah Yi is wholesome and amazing - with a lot of farm-to-table ingredients freshly harvested from their own vegetable patch. I would love to go back to visit Wuyishan again and will not hestiate to stay at Minzhushanfang again.

Location: The hotel is located in a villa community. The parking is convenient and the accommodation is quiet. It is very close to the scenic spot and the Impression Dahongpao. You can take a Didi taxi directly to the hotel entrance. The room is well decorated and clean. The overall stay is comfortable.

We had a memorable stay in Xiyu Yueting Resort! On the day of arrival, our host greeted us with the tea produced from their own plantation. We had an interesting conversation during the tea session and learnt much from her about the tea industry. Breakfast was delicious, freshly cooked from homegrown ingredients. Our family room was very spacious, and linens were spotlessly clean. Location of the homestay was very convenient, and geting to the entrance of the Wuyishan cost less than RMB 10 by e-hailing. Many eateries and the old street were in the immediate vicinity of the accommodation. It was very thoughtful of our host's husband to drive us to the train station after we checked out and we really appreciated it. It was a great pleasure staying here and we were very grateful for the hospitality of our hosts. I would strongly recommend Xiyu Yueting to travellers who plan to visit Wuyishan.

This is a hidden gem. This place is run like a homestay. If you’re into eco tourism this will fit. It’s newish. the room we had was nice. This place is run by husband and wife team and a few hired hands. It’s like someone’s home with 10 rooms to rent. The ‘hotel’ is also a tea processing factory. The owner treat us to many rounds of tea. The surrounding is very nice. A stream flow by. A tea plantation is in view from our balcony. The food is home cooked, and tasty. I think they try very hard to be hospitable but there is a big communication challenge. Non Chinese speaking guests will be lost. I can cope with some difficulties. Its location is far from local hot spots. Interesting experience nevertheless. The surrounding is all nature. You can walk into a tea plantation or walk along the stream. Very very nice!

Whether you're already passionate about tea or just starting your journey, Buzhichun is the perfect place to stay in Wuyishan — a city deeply rooted in tea culture. The room is spacious, super clean, and thoughtfully designed with minimalist touches. The natural colors and materials create a calming atmosphere that feels like home — perfect for slow living. The bathroom is large, spotless, and well-equipped with amenities. I especially loved the beautiful natural light in the room. On the ground floor, there’s a vibrant tea shop where young locals drop by, creating a lively atmosphere. You'll find historical exhibitions and curated objects that offer insight into both Wuyishan and the rich heritage of Chinese tea. And don’t miss meeting Xiaobai, the friendly resident dog who’s always happy to greet guests. The 6th floor features a cozy tatami-style common room, complete with a go board and a tea table overlooking stunning panoramic mountain views — an ideal place to unwind. What truly sets this place apart is the host and the staff. They’re warm, welcoming, and always ready to share tea with you — each time you return from a walk or come downstairs. I stayed two nights and tried at least 6–7 different kinds of Wuyishan tea. Even as a solo traveler and a foreigner, I felt included in conversations and easily connected with other guests. Pro tip: If you know a bit of Chinese, it’ll help you dive deeper into the stories behind the place. But even if you don’t, the language of tea will still make you feel at home. The owner and his staff were really friendly. He also provided assistance, information and tips for the scenic attractions. His photography work is displayed in his home stay and also on the tv of the complementary Wuyishan bus service. It’s in a natural surrounding so expect one or two insects to come by. Breakfast is simple — I (and a passing wasp) love the tea eggs so much I bought extra for lunch and dinner. They sell Dahongpao ice cream too and it’s cheaper for guests compared to the ones outside. He also sells tea leaves. And I bought some because the taste of the samplers were good. The only gripe I have is with the shower — water pressure is not good but that’s not the location’s fault. It took a while for me to finally turn the knob to the magic spot where water temperature is just right — not too cold and not too hot. But hey, I’m paying to stay smack in the middle of the scenic area.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was big and sunny, very silent, the bed comfortable, the heating worked really well and the shower gets nice and hot if you wait for a while. It’s off season right now, but we were still surprised to see that the hotel was practically empty, it deserves more clients. It’s one of the few hotels inside the park which is very convenient, and much nicer than the ones outside of the park that look really sad and ugl. We much preferred waking up with a view on the tea plantations. The staff doesn’t speak English at all but they’re very kind and will try their best to understand all your needs through translation apps. We ended up staying a day less and they were kind enough to give us the breakfast for free. They will also offer you to taste their local tea in the hall, which is delicious and served in the traditional way which is fascinating to watch. The furniture and overall look of the hotel might be a little dated, but we actually liked it, it gives character compared to all the ultra modern, aseptic hotels. The breakfast was really abundant and delicious, typical of the area which we loved. The only real inconvenience is that didi won’t be able to leave you at the hotel entrance, it will be stopped at the park entrance which is a 10 minutes walk on a road busy with all the park’s buses. The solution is either booking the car directly through the hotel, or ask the hotel to register your didi’s plate so it can enter the park. We did this when we visited the nearby Xiamei village and it worked.

It is very convenient in the scenic area. The window view is very beautiful. You can see Dawang Peak (I think), trees, water, and street scenes. During the Spring Festival, you can still see fireworks and it is very lively. Although cars cannot drive in, it is quite close to the parking lot. You can walk in and arrive in a short while while walking along the street.

Great place to explore the park. Location is great to access the park entrance in a walking distance and also reach the city. Rooms are clean. Staff were very friendly and as expected, you can get a cup of tea.
