Facilities: OK, inside Xinzhou Ancient City
Hygiene: I arrived at 10pm and it was clean and hygienic. The double bed room we booked is very spacious.
Environment: The courtyard is not very big, but although the sparrow is small, it has all the internal organs.
Service: I arrived late, and the lady at the front desk told me the route, because the self-driving parking lot is very close to this B&B.
Disadvantages: The bedside socket will be disconnected for no reason, which makes people like us who have to leave early the next morning very depressed. Let me first state that it is not my plug-in problem. Why did my friend stay there and not charge it when he got up in the morning? angry.
The curtains in the rooms on the first floor cannot be fully closed, which is not very friendly to people like me who have only a small amount of light.
But the price-performance ratio is still high. I give it a good review and hope the store will take a look at the socket.

I have been to the ancient city many times and have lived in many homestays. Zhixuanguan Hot Spring Homestay is really in my heart. The room is clean and tidy. The lighting is bright. The location is very lively in the center of the South Street. It is convenient to eat, drink and play. The reception service is also very good. The lobby decoration is very chic, especially suitable for taking pictures. 📸 Check in and drink tea. The room is very warm. The boss said that it was warm at home. I think I chose this stay very well. I can feel the sincerity from the reception desk. The staff smiles super infectious and helps with luggage. This really pokes me. When I check in, I move quickly and explain the surrounding attractions and transportation routes in detail. I am patient and enthusiastic throughout. I learned that I was traveling with children, even baby slippers and small toothbrushes were ready, and the details were controlled with ecstasy! The room was clean, the area was large, the double pool, and even the shower room was a double nozzle. It was very spacious. The young lady was very warm and friendly. I also sent a bracelet when I checked out. Thank you very much. The bottled water in the room is unlimited. The parking lot is a few steps away from the inn. It is very convenient. The charm of Western culture is added to the traditional Chinese culture. It has both the ancient charm and modern efficiency. It is a beautiful little courtyard. The location of the B&B is easy to find. Park in the ground parking lot on Bar Street. It is only a hundred meters walk to the courtyard. Various delicious foods are nearby. The mattress is a little firmer than I like, and quite comfortable. The boss also gave me a fruit plate. It was great value. I will definitely come back next time.

GGuest UserThe first time I went to Wutai Mountain, I chose a homestay and finally got a clean one. One is that I fancy the decoration style and the other is the price. I am very fortunate to have met a particularly good boss. I get up late in the morning or go back at night. I can’t wait for the car. I want the boss to pick up and drop off when I have time. On the last day, when we took a taxi to Taiyuan, the driver of the ride praised that this was the second good boss he had seen who could send guests to the entrance of the scenic spot. 👍 Breakfast was also praised. Although it was simple but delicious, it was at least several times stronger than the two or three hundred vegetarian food we ate in the scenic spot. Several times, I was very satisfied with staying for three days.

Additionally - the real highlight - Liu Kaidi couldn’t have been more helpful in helping to organize our trip with us. Amongst other things she: answered all of our questions we had about our hike around Mount Wutai, gave us a route and map, was extremely responsive on WeChat throughout our time in the area. She also allowed us to leave bags during our hike free of charge, helped us book and catch our bus to Taiyuan, arranged our bus to the East Terrace at 3.30am at the start of our hike (waking us up) and gave us a fantastic food recommendation for dinner (even walking us to the restaurant).
Our stay would not have even the same without her help and we are so grateful. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else if I came to the area.

GGuest UserThank you to the young owners and their parents for their hospitality during our short stay - for transporting my parents and I to and from restaurants for our meals and dropping us off at the main tourist attraction. Also special thanks to the 阿姨 for the delicious breakfast, her homemade mantou and pickles. Mrs Han was so generous in also helping us heat up leftovers takeaway from lunch for our dinner. The beds were comfortable. Initially the room was too warm but the young Mr Han helped to sort out the floor heating and heater so that the room was more comfortable. The recommended driver, Mr An, was very good, who brought us safely to Pingan.

ZZuzuFacilities: There is a dirt road outside the B&B, it is dirty, and there is no parking space. We just park everywhere. It was around 9pm when the owner let us park next to a huge smelly garbage dump. There is a construction site outside the hotel, which feels really bad. The public areas in the B&B are more elegant, but the room facilities are outdated. There are no hangers or places to dry the clothes, and the experience of putting them on the railings of the walkway is very poor.
Hygiene: Overall it is relatively clean, but there are small bugs on the floor and walls at night. (The first picture was taken when I came back today to collect clothes. There was no hanging paper when we checked in)
Service: After parking the car at night, the male shop owner took the initiative to help carry the box and did not let the box walk all the way in the mud. The female shop owner also asked us enthusiastically how we came, how to get there, and how to get to the scenic spot. She also took the initiative to ask us not to drive the next day because there were many people and cars, so she asked the male shop owner to take us to the starting point and take the bus, which was great with our children. Sit alone. It turned out that the next morning there was nothing about last night. I took the initiative to ask her how to send us off. She immediately pretended to be stupid and said you can take the bus yourself! I was very puzzled. After I went out, I met the male shopkeeper. As soon as he saw us, he immediately said, ”Beauty, you can go.” (Obviously he didn't forget the conversation last night) But the woman chased her out and said, yes, they will go and take the bus by themselves. In the end, I asked the male shopkeeper to take us out of the sun-drenched and dirty dirt road and take us to the entrance of the village to take a bus. I took my children for more than 10 stops along the way to the Wu Dad Temple.
There are many B&Bs and hotels on Wutai Mountain. This B&B is not worth more than 500 in terms of location and setting. Having a lot of frivolous public facilities in the store does not make any sense to our guests. The experience of staying here is not good!

GGuest UserOt's a small boutique hotel . The room was large and new looking. It had a small living room with comfortable chairs. The bathroom is average size with good hot shower.
The location is very good with easy access to restaurants and grocery shops. Be aware that everything concerned with food is just that little bit more expensive than other cities in China. But I guess the cost of hauling everything up to wu tai shan is costly.
The hotel is also close to the central bus station.
The manger Tong Tian Tian was most helpful. She came to pick us up from the bus station, helped us to book a day tour of the 5 mountain temples. ( which had to be cancelled halfway due to a snowstorm on the mountain tops, where the main temples were.
She then helped us to get our partial redunds.
And then helped us to book bus tickets for onward travel to Datong.
She was really helpful. On our first day she dropped us off at a temple nearly 20 mins away.
So top marks for her customer service
The hotel is a little short on the normal facilities like gym , small room fridge in the room, a restaurant ( so no breakfast )

SSoendoroWow , the boss is really great. I took a taxi directly from Taiyuan Wusu Airport but the taxi only stop at the Visitor Building. So I have to get into Green Bus to Dailuoding. The owner pick me up there. she is really nice. Definitely will go back to Wutai ( the place is absolutely amazing ) ❤️❤️

GGuest UserHighly recommended! During a solo winter trip to Wutai Shan, this was a great place to stay. The room was very comfortable (and warm), and the location is very close to the tourist bus station (very useful for those coming from Taiyuan or Beijing by bus), as well as the main temple area in the central valley. There are also many restaurants and shops within walking distance. The price was also very affordable, and the owner was very friendly and helpful. Definitely I would stay here again!

AAnonymous UserLocated near to Taiyuan town bus station. Can walk to the hotel from bus station, or if u tired of walking, can take the public bus from 普化寺 stop to 友谊路口 stop. (FOC, all public bus in Taiyuan Town does not need to pay bus fare). Only one bus stop to the hotel.
Very good location. Walking distance to the centre of Taiyuan Town temples. Cos, public buses sometimes are packed, Can choose walking if not tired. Traffic jam in the morning too.
Outside hotel is shopping street of the town. Hotel are near to 3 vegetarian restaurants. Can buy flowers baskets and fruits baskets from the shopping street flower n fruits stores if u wanna offering to Buddha. Flowers baskets are huge, price from RMB80. Fruits baskets RMB100. If buy from store outside temples, price might be more than shopping street price.
The hotel boss and staffs are very friendly and helpful. Always distributing bottles drinks to us when we leaving hotel.
Helped us book van to wutaishan mountain 5 terraces. And helped us book car for our one day trip out of the central, to the temples which are not so accessible by public buses (清凉寺，金阁寺, 竹林寺 and etc). Car booking half day trip is RMB300, full day RMB500. Recommended to book car, less walking up slope, driver can park car straight to temples car park.
