"When I first entered the hutong, I was a little nervous because there was construction going on next to it and several hotels I passed by were closed. This B&B is on the top floor of the 7th floor and it really looks beautiful! They called us directly to store the luggage when we arrived early and they took the initiative to put the luggage in the room when it was ready for check-in. "This room was clean, spacious, located perfectly, and had many extra fun amenities that we did not even expect. It had a full sized fridge, washing machine, huge screen with projector for watching TV, and a majiang table with all the game pieces. It had big comfortable sofas, plenty of seating, including a kitchen bar with stools and even a tatami area with a table. It was located right in the heart of all the tourist attractions which we could even see and hear from our huge window and 19th floor. My kids want to go back to Yanji. Thank you Anya!!!. "It is a Korean-standard inn-class hotel located near Yanji Railway Station, which is currently not in operation. Actually, considering the price, all is forgiven. I feel reassured that it has been registered as a residence for foreigners. The bedding is clean and hot water works well. Hot water and towels are provided upon request from the owner, but bottled water is available for a fee. It's not a problem since you take care of your own toiletries and toilet paper. The lady boss speaks a little Korean. There is some noise from airplanes coming and going from Yanji Airport. Since Yanji Station is no longer in operation, there are no trains to Lidubaekhe, Yongjing, and Songjianghe as before, so you have to use the high-speed train at Yanji West Station, but you can still tour Changbai Mountain on the same day by bus from Yanji Station. Transportation by city bus is convenient and taxis are also convenient. Overall, I give it a good score."

"I had a great time in Yánjí since I planned a lot of border excursions. I can speak both Korean and Chinese comfortably to navigate this region, which is also known as the Third Korea. The location of this place was great since it was in the city center across from Yanji University. (I was assigned room 1206.) I'm not sure which photos they're using for advertising, but my room looked far more beat up and outdated. I also killed a lot of small cockroaches that were roaming around the kitchenette area. Again, this was not a big deal for me since they weren't ginormous, but one huge cockroach did appear one day near the bathroom. It's one thing for the room to look somewhat different from the advertised photos, but please at least keep the space much cleaner. (The laundry machine was bonus, but I had to buy laundry soap next door at the convenience store. This should have been provided considering there was an empty soap box on the floor next to the machine.) The reason why I booked this place was to do frequent laundry rather than stay at a hotel... I traveled from NYC, so it wasn't like I was an average Chinese tourist from a domestic region. This was my first visit to China since 1996.05 and I used my 10-year China visa for the first time since I applied back in 2017.08. Note: I checked out the other rooms on the floor and they were much nicer than what I booked. I'm guessing those were listed on WeChat and the less attractive rooms are listed on here, etc. After I checked out by 12:00 noon, I stored my luggage next door at the convenience store for a few hours. They charged CN¥5/per hour… I paid CN¥15 since I knew 3 hours was all I needed before my flight."
