Homestays in Upper Normandy

Very distinctive Normandy local style cabin, the space is relatively large, there is a small study and sofa, there is a shared living room on the first floor, very special and warm. The landlord’s grandfather is also good, but unfortunately it is cold and the pool is closed. Parking is in the small courtyard, and it takes about 30 minutes to go to the elephant nose cliff, which is very convenient.

It was just a small nice cottage-like hotel. We loved it so much. The hotel is located not so far from the beach, maybe around 20 mins by car but it wasnt so hard to get an uber/bolt so it was okay for us since we didnt have a car. For breakfast, we had to sit together with other tourists who stayed there with us, and it was a very nice way to start the day. The owner gave us this homemade yogurt which was the best yogurt ive ever tried in my life (im still thinking about it now). Overall, if you plan to visit Etretat, I do recommend staying here if you dont mind staying a bit far from the hotspot. Thank you to the owner for hosting us! We love Etretat🥰

The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The owners were wonderful to take care of us, and breakfast in the very rich room, although some more product was missed. It is a little far from the most concurrent areas, but very close to a village with dinner options.

The landlord was very nice. The car encountered a road closure at the high speed. It took a long detour to return to the high speed, resulting in a lot later than expected. The landlord was told about this situation by the phone, and he said he was willing to wait. He also prepared sandwiches and drinks. The chicken and egg sandwiches were delicious. The location is particularly good, 13 minutes walk to Monet Gardens. The homestay has a large courtyard, the rooms are clean and stylish, very comfortable.

If you want to experience La vraie vie de chateau (a real life a a castle owner) this is your choice. Only 5 rooms available, very private, feels like you are in your own chateau… fabulous park and setting around the main building, was told there are other separate “mini” houses in the park , and you can go watch the horses…. And admire the view on the valley. Our room: we booked the round bedroom … the center bedroom on the 1st floor…. Fabulous place, need a bit of upgrade in the bathroom… if anything… but seriously felt like a châtelain… as we reached early, we were welcomed by one of the sons of the owners who took us around the private wing, “his house”, and told us everything about the mansion history as well as hotel business. A great interaction with a friendly castle owner and businessman. They also have a snooker, a gym and sauna…. I mean… what else do you want!!! We had to go out for dinner (at L’Hermitage) which the owner booked for us. Breakfastwas served in the salons…. Stylish French dépit déjeuner, served by a dynamic, friendly and frank lady. Just go. Dont hesitate.

It was a nice stay. I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a relaxing time in Giverny. The rice ball cafe below was also attractive.
