GGuest UserLovely service and breakfast in this charming boutique hotel/B&B in the town of Alcobaca. The main building is a beautifully restored old home with period furniture and touches. There is also a modern building adjacent, which is where we stayed. Our room and bathroom were both very spacious, but the layout of both was a little odd, and lacked the coziness and charm that I imagine you'll find in the old building. For instance, the bedroom had a queen rather than a king bed, and an old-fashioned ”fainting couch” which looks pretty but isn't practical. There was tons of room for a king bed and a couple really comfortable chairs. And the marble bathroom - the largest I've seen - had a spa tub that you had to climb up to, but no separate shower, though again, there was tons of room for it. Breakfast was wonderful, served in the older building, and service was awesome - very helpful suggestions for one of the best dinners we had in Portugal. Easy walking to downtown restaurants and the nearby monastery. Great location for exploring other sights like Obidos and Nazarre.

GGuest UserEsta casa es impresionante. Tiene todo lo que se le puede pedir a un alojamiento rural para desconectar del ruido urbano. Está ubicada en Aljubarrota, suficientemente cerca de varios núcleos grandes de población, cerca de zonas turísticas muy interesantes. A la vez, la propia casa es comodísima, con zonas variadas para juegos, descanso, lectura, piscina, … Tiene muchos formatos de habitaciones y apartamentos para viajar en familia, se aparca dentro de la finca, … El desayuno es excelente, natural, variado… Y la anfitriona y el personal son tan amables y enfocados a la satisfacción del huésped que impresiona. Un gran acierto de gestión, enhorabuena!

Very Good
From our room View was lovely as we paid extra to have a sea view. Inez was very prompt at solving a little lightbulb issue. Overall the whole hotel is looking very shabby…..tired. The breakfast was quite basic, although there was a small amount of fresh fruit & fresh yogurt every morning, and the bread was great. Possibly just better lighting in the area where breakfast is served would be good. The member of staff who checked us in, and dealt with breakfast every morning could possibly do with a bit of guidance about working in hospitality.

Magnificent guest house 500 meters from the monastery. Very stylish place. The design is eclectic, but it doesn't spoil it. We had a bed with massive knobs and a high carved headboard as if from the XIX century and a modern room. The toilet and shower were nearby, but shared. Beautiful lobby, there is a kitchen with stove and refrigerator (not used). Breakfast is modest. The staff is friendly. There's even ping-pong. If we had stayed longer, we would have played!

My experience in this park was a little agri-grid, and it is positive to the calm and calm of the place where the park is inserted. As a small park, it will never be much confused with people. The pool is quite large and with a large surrounding area, so it is always a very nice area to be. Basically the Bungalows, at least the one where I was, need some maintenance ( lots of murals, decolled doors, beds swallowed all over). The cleaning of the kitchen was not the best ( my bungalow had only 15 mosquitoes dead on the roof/wall). The breakfast was weak in terms of quantity (only croissants, cheese/fiber, cereals and a little more), but what was good, concluding that one or two days are perfectly good, more than that is not. It is a park with a great potential, which is even building more bungalows, but which have been disguised in the bungalows they have and it is a pity.
