This was a rough one to be honest. Really low quality location and hotel. It's dirty and I had bugs in my room. The shower works and gets hot, the air conditioning is good, but otherwise it's a really rough stay. The bed was thin and small, hard to sleep on. While it was a cheap option, I expected it to be a bit better than this.

The hotel itself is located in the Chungking mansion, a notoriously sketchy building in Hong Kong. Locals have vehemently told me to avoid this place, as it's known to be the most ghetto building in all of the city. I visited it personally and spoke with some people within the building whom told me that the building has an undeserved reputation and is much safer than people think -- however my personal read on the place is that it is indeed very sketchy. The building feels like an endless jungle of dingy halls and dirty stalls, with many seedy businessmen who curiously trail you with their eyes as you walk through. Most likely, you'll get lost looking for the hotel in the building. Kudos to owner of the hotel, who helped us cancel our reservation with no problem, and was very nice over the phone (no refunds accepted!)

The accommodation is clean and the staff takes good care of us. If there is anything left, just tell them and they will find it for you immediately.

I was very pleased to stay in this guest house. Very clean ! Very accommodating and friendly staff. Excellent location for transport, shopping and restaurants. The guest house has a microwave , hot water and the fridge for guests convenience.

It’s good for solo trip

Well for a start,, the pictures on shown are NOT the room they have.. room was too small,an opening on the ceillind where the fan was installed, the toilet was small the building is decayed, lifts are small if it gets full on the top floor you have to wait for another round and if you get lucky you can get in the lift.... MOLDS MOLDS MOLDS!!! all around. on the other hand the location is good you can access the trains the harbour which was beautiful! The front of the building was crowded.. One Indian guy said he owns the hotel and I told him our room was not the one we booked.. and he said no I gave you the best room,,, if it was the best room then I cant imagine what the other room looks like... water heater has to be in idle for 15 minutes before use,,, you have to mix it with cold water or you get scalded.,,, and by the time you get the right temp the heater needs to be in idle again.... terrible experience with the hotel.... And in the evening came a Hong Kong lady who said she was also the owner so I got mixed up.. she was friendly though. To Sum this all up,, if you dont want to reuin your holiday avoid this place..The picture atttached is right infront of the lift... FILTHY!!!. there are more choices in the same area. Trip.com you made everything easy for our urgent trip to HK,,, if there is anyway that you can check the rooms all the hotels show this would be of bg help for all your subscribers.

Basic if you just need a bed for the night. Friendly staff, but this is nothing special, no complaints, can be a little confusing to find but you just need to find the right lifts in the main building.

Room was much better than expectations. The basics you need. A bed and a shower. And can't beat the price.
