Location is not central and abit of a walk from the necessary tram stop. Breakfast was good. The service was good

The hotel was closed but we got an upgrade. Gubei resort was beautiful and the breakfast was delicious!

We went during winter and were informed by trip.com that our hotel needed to be changed and so we were upgraded to what seemed like to be their sister hotel, Beijing Wtown Resort which was nearby. So, this review is not about this hotel, but about Beijing Wtown Resort. The resort hotel was a big, proper hotel with luxurious-looking lobby. The room we got was also big and quite nice, except for the smoking stench. Staff, in general, were quite helpful... although there was one that felt quite racist/judgmental. If you stay here, you also would get access to the nearby hot spring house (remember to bring swimsuit though because you're required to wear one. If you happen to forget, they do sell them but choice was limited and pretty expensive).

First of all, the room is in a very good location, a little above the Sun Moon Island Square, diagonally opposite the Gubei Light, and the starting point of the shuttle bus. It is very convenient to go to the Sun Moon Island Square and the food street. Turn left to Wangjing Street, and watch the water dance show in a few steps. Opposite is the city hot spring, and a few hundred meters up the door is the Simatai Great Wall. The hotel is decorated in the style of the Republic of China. The room is very quiet, the hot water is particularly good, the two washbasins are very convenient, and there is a coffee machine. The price includes a double ticket to the scenic spot and a hot spring ticket. Breakfast is at Gubei Light, led by a special person. The service of each staff member is very enthusiastic.

The front desk service was very good. Although it was minus 10 degrees outside, the room was very warm and not cold at all. There were welcome fruits. There were many restaurants nearby. The Great Wall was very close and only a few steps away. The night view and drone show were very nice.

I have stayed in many nice hotels in China and I think the service is very good. This year during the Spring Festival, I stayed at the New Youth Art Hotel and the feeling I got was better than before, as warm as returning home. The hotel's service is very considerate and caring. You can feel that you are being treated and cared for sincerely! This is a better hotel than any other one I've stayed in before! When we checked in, Miss Gaoshan at the front desk had already arranged the two rooms together to make it easier for us to take care of our family. While we were waiting for the room card, we had already drunk some warm ginger tea, and Miss Gaoshan had already rushed into the room to help us turn on the air conditioner. The luggage delivery was also very convenient and fast. As soon as we entered the room, the two young ladies at the front desk had already helped us bring up our luggage. Their friendly smiles are like the warm sunshine in winter. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and took a shuttle bus to visit the scenic area (it was very cold as the temperature dropped. The driver of the shuttle bus asked us where we were going and quickly stopped a car to take us there. Before we got off the car, the driver also reminded us how to wait for the bus back. It was super nice). We had New Year's Eve dinner at Wangjing Tower. The service staff were very enthusiastic and the dishes were very good. The God of Wealth greeted us at the door. He didn't disturb us too much but was always able to meet our needs and treated us with sincerity. There are many amusement projects in the scenic area, and the New Year atmosphere is very good. After eating the New Year's Eve dinner and walking back to the hotel, I drank the tea in the lobby to drive away the cold. I just said that the tea tasted really good, and the lady at the front desk actually called the restaurant and sent a pot of brewed tea to our room! I am so touched. These services are not exaggerated, but they are definitely the most surprising! I can’t remember the names of these service staff who are like mountains, but it is these mountains who sincerely serve tourists like me. I went to Gubei Water Town once several years ago, but my impression of it was not very deep (I stayed at the more expensive Shisanmei Hotel, which cost two to three thousand yuan a night, but the breakfast set did not fill me up). But this time, it really amazed me. Now the overall service awareness has reached a very high level. This should be based on long-term management + training👍

It was my first time to visit Gubei Water Town, and I was deeply attracted by the environment here. It is indeed the most beautiful red leaf town under the Great Wall! There is a special bus service near Dongzhimen Station that goes directly to Gubei Water Town for RMB48. It takes about two hours to get there, which is very convenient! I booked the New Youth Art Hotel, which included Gubei Water Town tickets, two breakfasts, two hot spring rolls, and a free shuttle bus. The price/performance ratio is very high! You can take the shuttle bus directly to the hotel entrance, which is very convenient! When leaving, you can ask the hotel to send your luggage to the luggage storage outside the scenic spot, scan and confirm with the QR code, and you are not afraid of others taking your luggage, which is very good! You can also visit the water town easily! In addition, the hotel staff are warm and courteous and patiently answer your questions. The room is clean, the bed is comfortable, there is plenty of hot water, and the breakfast is buffet style and tastes good! The outside of the hotel is covered with red and yellow leaves, which is very beautiful! Bathing in the Duan Family Courtyard is also very comfortable and relaxing! There is free Peking Opera, light and water dance show, and drone show in the evening, which is very beautiful! Come again next time!

The room is large, with welcome fruits and snacks. The toiletries are all L'Occitane. The mattress is very comfortable. I didn't feel back pain after waking up. It feels very supportive. The interior decoration is very luxurious. The only shortcoming I think is that it is the farthest from the park entrance, but the closest to the Great Wall entrance. I didn't climb the Great Wall because I took my children. If you want to climb the Great Wall to see the night view, it is worth recommending if you like quietness. By the way, the free hot spring ticket is very convenient for the hot spring hotel opposite the hotel.
