The male receptionist at the front desk was very unfriendly and acted superior. After checking out today, I left my 24-inch suitcase and bag behind a pillar and went out for lunch. When I returned, my belongings were gone. It turned out he had hidden my luggage in a room behind the counter and demanded HK$20 to return it. Everyone, please be very careful not to leave your belongings in the lobby.

very small room and host doest not provide a table to place the water boiler, the side track can only accommodate half size of the boiler, very dangerous to pour hot water in bed. the price is exceptionally high with more than hkd 500 per night with no breakfast no cleaning service at al 1 clean out of 5 days, incredibly bad service.. the worst thing is that i have to climb up the hill from Central station which takes at least 15 minutes uphill walk. don't wanna book again

The soundproofing in the room was terrible. There was constant banging and knocking until 1 or 2 AM, and then the alarm clock next door started going off at 5 AM. I could hear it so clearly I thought it was my own alarm that hadn't been turned off. It went on until past 7 AM, which was really annoying.

This is my second time choosing Mini Central! Everything about this hotel is great, except the location isn't ideal for me with a 28-inch suitcase! It involves walking up a steep slope and lots of stairs, which is too tiring! If you're a backpacker, you're welcome here, but if you have luggage, you might want to train your stamina first 🥲! As soon as you open the room door, you can see the entire room: a white king-size bed, a large mirror with integrated lighting, and the toilet and bathroom are at the back (the sink is too small, so water tends to spill everywhere). The air conditioning is super powerful! The front desk staff are very polite and can speak English, Mandarin, and Cantonese~ Luggage storage is HKD 10 per piece.

The room was tiny and dirty, and the toilet was right above the head of the bed. The facilities were old and outdated. For the same price, this place is the worst. The staff also had a bad attitude. Once I booked the room, the merchant refused to issue a refund. Be very careful when booking! However, I have to give a thumbs up to Trip.com customer service and the company itself!

A great place for a solo traveler! Would absolutely stay here again. Since you can’t open the windows the place gets a little moldy, but nothing that felt dangerous. It’s a great location.

Great location, right in Central. Check-in time is strictly 2 PM, no flexibility. The room was small but had everything I needed. Soundproofing was very poor.

I booked this hotel as I had to cancel my booking for an earlier stay at another hotel due to power outage the following morning. I couldn’t check in until late since I have a family dinner to go to. Contacted Mini Central’s phone number and messaged on WhatsApp there was no answer. I nearly didn’t go to the property and just cancelled this stay but I took a chance to go there since they have a 24 hour front desk. I told the guy about calling multiple times but he didnt even show any interest. Quite disappointing and it gave me so much anxiety due to the first hotel cancellation already. Room was good. Just had some rust etc in the toilet/ shower sliding door also only single usage disposable towels. What’s that about? I paid full price so why the disposable?!

Overall, for this price and location, there's really nothing to complain about. The front desk offers two complimentary disposable towels and face towels every day. I saw a lot of people in the reviews complaining about the stairs earlier; I counted them myself and there are 50 steps, not including the initial ramp. I recommend wearing athletic shoes.

I was in a difficult situation (lost passport during the day) and the staff went out there way to help me check in. I managed to book in for a comfortable night's sleep and found my passport the following day. The hotel workers at Mini Central are number 1! Rooms comfy and close to lots of delicious food places and nightlife.

It's quite good and convenient overall for short stay, but the staff can easily be more friendly and smiley.

Great location and reasonable price given it’s HK. However proper towels should be provided and not the oversized disposable ‘paper towel’ that is given. The balcony rooms are nice (for the balcony).

It's good! Very comfortable and cozy. The only minor issue is the size. The shower is very convenient, but there's no hairdryer. It's quite clean and good for a one-night stay. There are vending machines, and transportation around is very convenient.
