Services and food are fantastic. But the room size is too small, four futon than nowhere to sit . But the buffet restaurant provides various food and some local dishes (venison）. The onsens are awesome. Recommend!

Very stylish hotel. Is newly renovated. I was a bit worried about some comments that said that only lobby is new and rooms are old and smelly. At least in our case the room was new , modern, spacious with awesome look to the mountain, river and sunrise. Onsen is big, an outdoor area is my love, as you can breathe fresh air and enjoy the warmth of the water. Also the hair oil before drying hair was so good. Totally delicious food, amazing dish selection, rich palette of variant tastes. Suitable for all culinary preferences. Definitely recommend to take both breakfast and dinner. Though hotel is pricey, but it was worth it!!!

Chaoyangtei is a traditional hot spring inn with a bit of history. All the facilities are well-maintained and don't feel dilapidated. The rooms are designed in a Japanese-Western style, and even with three people staying there, it didn't feel cramped. The views from the windows are sunny and bright. The hot springs are both indoor and outdoor; I personally preferred the outdoor one, as it offered a relaxing view. There's also a 5-minute fireworks display at 8:45 PM. It's very conveniently located just a 6-minute walk from the inn to the Kurodake Ropeway station.

The room was nice, and the bed was comfortable. We purchased dinner and breakfast. The restaurant was quite large with plenty of seating, and the window seats with good views. The food was ok for us. The dinner that we booked included all-you-can-drink alcoholic beverages. The outdoor hot spring was nice and worth experiencing. The lobby offers complimentary corn soup and coffee so that you can enjoy especially after soaking in a hot spring.
