Hot Spring Hotels in Shimoina District

We spent two nights here and everything was flawless! The service and amenities were top-notch, and every meal—from dinner to breakfast—was carefully curated and delicious. Truly one of the best luxury onsen hotels in all of Japan

－ The staff took the initiative to help us put our luggage in the room, and the room was clean and tidy. Since the comet cluster was reported, the hotel was notified early. The dinner was arranged at five o'clock. The food was diversified and very satisfied. The breakfast was still very rich. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to see the starry sky. The hot spring is comfortable, － indoors and outdoors. There are two other family hot springs, which can be used by the people, and there is no extra charge. There are two ping-pong platforms for playing. The staff is very considerate and proactive, and will stay next time.

When my wife suddenly searched for the starry sky, I was able to take the inn of Mito Tsukishita. It was a very satisfying trip with hospitality to the lady general, Nakai, star sommelier, and everyone. The starry sky was cloudy at first and I couldn't see it, but as the sommelier said, the weather in the mountains was easy to change and when I went to see it again, the natural planetarium spread out and it was so beautiful that I forgot the time.

I stayed at Qingfengyuan again this year. I feel very good. The service is － flow. I especially thank Oriyama, Makino, Yo and Itsubo san for arranging transportation, check-in, tourism and food for many of us. Thank you very much! Extremely recommended!

Far from train station. Difficult to get to by public transport but that is the beauty of it. We got a transfer with the hotel (additional charges). Had to get a friend to translate emails into japanese to send to the hotel. All the staff we encountered in Nov 2018 were polite and welcoming but do not speak english at all. The Google translation app is very useful to get around the language barrier. Small, quiet and beautiful place! Quite literately surrounded by mountains.
