"I'm looking forward to coming back! The inn is very accommodating and relaxing. The Onsen water feels nice and they have private Onsen rooms available for booking if you're shy like me. The food was very filling and tasty. Our room had a tea setup, a massage chair, a mini fridge and even little details, like a bottle opener, that I really appreciated. The view from my room was of the town and a mountainside. It was lovely in the morning to watch the clouds on the mountainside disperse as the sun heated things up. Regarding the staff, they were very kind and hospitable. My group got lost and missed our bus when heading to Hirugami and the hotel helped us get there safely by coordinating a pick up. Our hostess spoke basic English and we were able to communicate with the other staff with a translator app on our phones."

"This was my first visit to Shimojo Onsen, and it is a quiet inn with only two inns, located in a quiet mountain area. There are no tourist facilities nearby, so once you enter the hotel, all you can do is relax inside the building. The hot spring water is a simple sulfur spring, highly alkaline with a pH of 9.6, and has a gentle, moisturizing effect on the skin, making it a popular hot spring for women. The food is also delicious, and you can enjoy it in a private room, so you can relax. The food is also carefully prepared, making it a visual treat."

"I booked this inn to stay at on my way back from climbing the Northern Alps, and to be honest, I didn't have high expectations, but it was a wonderful hot spring inn. Robatayaki is grilled by an aunty who handles everything with her experienced hands. There seemed to be an order in which to eat them, and I was told, ``After you eat this,'' so I left the eggplant alone, but it was a very delicious dinner with lots of local ingredients. I arrived late, and the hot spring was empty and spacious. I visited the open-air bath the next morning, and the view was great and the hot spring water was wonderful."

"It was a shame that the peach blossoms were finished, but I was very satisfied with the lovely inn. It was a pity that the herbal bath wasn't ready and that there was no coffee in the morning. The best part was being able to birdwatch in the open-air bath in the morning as there were lots of small birds ✨ I would like to stay there again when the peach blossoms are in bloom."
