Terrible!
Imagine this, you turn up to your pub in the evening after long commute, it's nearly 11pm, it's cold, dark, pouring with rain ...what do you find, a locked pub door, no sign of life. You ring the bell, no-one there, they've all gone home. Your standing outside in the rain, you call the agent, they don't even recognise the booking number, lol ...they say nothing after 20 minutes on the phone ...you give up, and try to find another place to stay, wandering around Huddersfield in the torrential rain. NEVER AGAIN!

Location a bit misleading at it’s quite a trek from central Huddersfield. Small but friendly, traditional pub. Food was nice but a bit limited menu. What was a surprise was the bedroom that was a really comfortable and well appointed. Bit of a climb up the stairs from the main bar, but well worth the effort. Leaving at the crack of dawn, had to use the fire escape as rather main building was locked up! Very good value for money overall.

Very good, a delicate small cozy room located on the upper floor of a little pub without noise. When I arrive late the waitress lady lead me up to the room. Warm & cozy & clean& quiet.

Been going to the 'Croppers' for a long time but they now have new management in and found them to be quite ignorant. They didn't come across friendly at all. Asked if they did non-alcoholic lager and they answered 'No' .. that was it. No explanation as to why or if they are intending to get it in the future. Sorry to say that we will be spending our hard earned cash elsewhere from now on.

Went to the Croppers Arms for a family teatime meal on a Saturday night. Really lovely friendly and attentive staff, great food and super value. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had salmon filet which was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be coming again. Thank you so much! 5*

Went for a meal last night, expecting the lovely food that used to be served. Food poor, £3.79 for 11 frozen chips. Salad so boring and straight from a bag. Small portions. Nothing freshly cooked from fresh.

We came here on the reopening / refurbishment for food with my mum and partner, it's always had a great reputation locally for home cooked food. We were so diaaapointed to find the menu is now so small and made up of burgers and wraps, selected from the very limited choice. It arrived, appalling freezer chicken burger, would not go again. Honestly, this business which was renowned locally is going to last all of about 5 mins with the food like this. Revert immediately!

The pub has been taken over by the chain Vixen. I have not eaten here for a few years but know plenty of people who went every week. We found the food quite poor, obviously out of the freezer and warmed up. No veg on offer except on a Sunday! Staff were friendly and helpful. I would not go again.
