We stayed here during August 2024. The hotel is rated as a 3 star and I would say that is probably fair. Really friendly staff, excellent reception and bar staff and the animation team were always full of energy! The room was basic, even for a 3 star. You could see that it had been renovated over the last 5+ years, but there were still parts that looked a little tired. No fridge in the room, which was our main gripe. I would expect one of these in a 3 star hotel these days. Another issue, as mentioned in many reviews, is the bathroom. There is a vent next to the toilet, where you can literally hear EVERYTHING. It feels as if you are sharing the room with someone else if you are both using the bathroom. There were some interesting conversations that you couldn’t avoid listening to…amongst other ‘noises’. The walls were fairly thin but we didn’t have too many issues with noise - no problems with people partying, etc. There is a nightclub next to the hotel that can be VERY loud on some nights, until around 1am. The balcony windows are single-glazed with wooden frames, so do little to dampen out the sound. The cleaners were very good although a little frustrating sometimes, where they would have their trolley outside our door cleaning the opposite room at 10am, yet still hadn’t done ours at 3pm. The biggest let down for us here was the food. Breakfast was fine, the usual items such as cooked breakfast, pastries, etc…however the evening meals had incredibly random selections - even by all-inclusive standards. It’s typical that you sometimes end up with a mish-mash of stuff on your plate, but you felt that you really couldn’t avoid it here. There was an absence of obvious staples, such as pasta and sauce, every night. It would have been awkward to feed children here or fussy eaters. The labels on food were also unclear, it was difficult to tell what meat or fish were in some dishes (or if they were vegetarian). We ended up eating out for 3 of the 7 nights (thoroughly recommend Johnny’s bar for burgers only 2 mins walk away). They do a barbecue at the pool 2 days a week at lunch, which was ok but nothing special. The pool area was great, 2 large pools and a child’s pool. Loads of room and it was easy to find a bed. Definitely the best aspect of the hotel apart from the staff. You can easily order food at the hut next to the pool for lunch (this was usually things such as fried chicken, toasties, pizza and chips). The pool bar was extremely efficient, the staff were excellent. I rarely had to queue behind more than 2 people. There were a couple of days where people came in selling fake sunglasses/bags (the type you normally see on the beach), which the hotel did little to deter (in fact they would sometimes chat to staff). I wouldn’t expect these to be allowed in a private hotel. All in all, I wouldn’t stay here again although there is nothing ‘wrong’ with the hotel, per se. They are selling a 3 star and that is exactly what you get. Generally we en
