"Our stay at Heyuan Xiangfeng International Hotel was a happy accident. We were driving from Zhaoqing to Shantou, which is quite a long journey, so we decided to break it up with an overnight stay in a city somewhere in the middle. I just picked a hotel near the river from the map. Once we checked in, we were really impressed. The hotel is definitely older, but you can still see its former glory, and they've maintained their unique character through meticulous details and management. The cleanliness of the entire hotel was astonishing. The small hand towels in the bathroom were individually packaged in plastic after being disinfected, and there wasn't a single black spot on any of the silicone in the corners. Even though the furniture and decor are dated, everything was spotless. The staff, from front desk to housekeeping, were all incredibly polite, on par with what you'd expect at a luxury hotel. The hotel management has clearly put a lot of effort into this aspect."

"1. The room is priced like a five-star hotel, but offers economy-level quality. The value for money is definitely average. The hotel's location is very remote; besides the hot springs, there's no entertainment at night, and for the kids to play pool, you have to drive quite a distance. 2. My complaint is about the breakfast. For a hotel costing over 1000 yuan, the breakfast environment is like eating in a canteen with a group of hotel owners. After eating, you have to take your own plates and clean up, which is unacceptable. Of course, the overall environment of the complex is quite comfortable and pleasant, and the hot springs are right downstairs, which is convenient."
