"The pros: I arrived 2 hours earlier and was thankful that concierge checked me in immediately. The view from my room was wonderful and the breakfast variety was fine though the same menu was served daily throughout my 4 night stay. The vicinity of Lapad is not near to the old town, but I specifically selected the area/hotel to be away from crowds and large tour groups, so I’m happy with it. The area is beautiful, with plenty of rock coves for walks and exploration.
The cons: Mirror to the cupboard was cracked and plastered over with aluminium tape, design of the room is definitely dated, carpets are a little stained though these are not important to me.
As a solo female Asian traveller, I do observe that older staff, male especially, communicate with some sense of superiority towards me, in comparison to western guests. In other words, I do not feel welcome. That applies to Dubrovnik in general, while in Zagreb, service staff are much friendlier."
