"My friend arrived at the hotel first and was ready to check in. But his experience made us very disappointed with the hotel. They arrived at the hotel at around 12 noon, having experienced a long flight of nearly 10 hours and looking forward to the Spring Festival holiday. There were three or four groups of guests who arrived with them. They asked at the front desk if they could check in early, but were told that the room was not ready yet and no estimated time could be provided. They were only advised to check again at around 2 pm. Following the advice of the front desk, they stored their luggage and went out for dinner. However, when they returned to the front desk at 2 pm, they were still told that the room was not ready and the estimated check-in time had been postponed to 3:30 PM - even though the official check-in time of the hotel was 2:00 PM. Inexplicably, the front desk did not provide any explanation, only saying that the room was not ready. Although they were dissatisfied with this, they remained patient and asked the hotel to notify them as soon as possible when the room was ready. However, we never received any update. At 3:30 pm, they went to the front desk again to inquire, but the front desk staff seemed to be completely unaware of their situation due to the shift change, which showed that the handover work within the hotel was not done well at all. This management loophole is extremely disturbing and unacceptable. After we expressed our strong dissatisfaction, a staff member who we later learned was the **Transfer Manager** finally intervened. However, she neither provided any explanation nor expressed any apology, but arrogantly told us that the room was ready and asked us if we wanted to check in now. And because my flight was delayed and I was 20 minutes late to check in for the ship, they said that if I didn’t arrive in ten minutes, they would not care about us and we would have to book a helicopter to get on the ship. Friends and friends were already four hours later than the original check-in time, and they were arrogantly told that they would not care about us. This arrogant and perfunctory attitude was extremely unprofessional and infuriating. In the end, friends and friends did not get the room key until 4 pm, four hours later than the arrival time, and were the last to check in among all the guests who arrived at the same time as them. At this point, they were exhausted, angry and extremely disappointed. What was even more unacceptable was that when they entered the room, they found that the extra bed we had confirmed a few days in advance was not ready at all. The entire stay experience was far below the service standards that should be expected of InterContinental Hotels. The lack of communication, lack of responsibility and poor service attitude seriously affected our stay experience. In this regard, we request that your hotel provide a formal explanation and explain how to improve to avoid similar incidents from happening again."

"After reading very mixed reviews, we went ahead and booked it. The result: very mixed feelings. The location was beautiful, the sights breathtaking, the animals adorable, but when it came to actually spending time there, there wasn’t much to do. We arrived on a later ferry so we knew we wouldn’t have much time to enjoy the sun after arrival, however because of a mix up, our suitcases went missing for an hour making us miss any chance of getting in the pool while it was hot out. After, we went for dinner. There are only 2 restaurants available, and without making a reservation before hand, it’s a bit hard to go when you want. The food was ok, but expensive as one would expect from a place like this. Once dinner was finished, the evening entertainment (Alice in Wonderland screening) was already underway and we found ourselves with nothing to do at 9pm. Early night for us. The following day we planned a day of snorkelling, stingray feeding and kayaking. We appreciated the free snorkel gear as well as the clear safety instructions and recommendations of the lifeguard. The sting Ray feeding experience was amazing and it was clear the staff knew what they were talking about and were passionate about the animals. Kayaking and other water sports were cancelled however because of the high winds, leaving us, once again, with nothing to do. Early dinner (very entertaining moment with wallabies attempting to steal our food and being super cuddly), a walk around the beach, movie in the room, and early bedtime. So all in all, beautiful location with great experiences of the weather allow, make sure to bring some entertainment if the water is too cold to swim in the pool or the weather turns sour. Maybe a book or some board games? Also: if you want food in the late afternoon, make sure you bring some snacks as there is a limited selection available."

"It is the best hotel in Airlie Beach. The scenery is unbeatable, the facilities are good, the hotel story and the founder's development vision and the final implementation effect are all great! The room is very clean, and the kitchenette has a microwave, which is very convenient. The only thing I can't accept is that the owner is Italian 😅The quilt is a sheet sandwich towel blanket with a few small bumps, but it's still good overall"

"The location of the hotel is invincible. It is located in the core of the main street of Airlie Beach. It is convenient to go anywhere. It is close to lagoons, supermarkets, and restaurants. Whether you go to the pier by yourself, participate in various activities by helicopter or speedboat, or take a bus to the airport! The disadvantage is that the hygiene is not so good. In addition, the room is half facing the street. The moving work starts next to it at around 6 o'clock in the morning, and there will be noise on the road, but it is quiet at night. The town is not big, so it is not a big problem to go to bed early and get up early. In addition, the hotel reception is not 24 hours. If you arrive too late, remember to contact by email in advance. Generally, you go to the hotel's Gaming bar to pick up the key, which is open until the early morning. In summary, the hotel is certainly not perfect, but the price-performance ratio is good. I will stay there next time! Friendly reminder: Don't book a hotel on the mountain in Airlie Beach. You need to take an Ulber, which is very inconvenient"

"Driving back home to Innisfail from Brisbane. As we pulled into Mackay my 2yo started to get restless, we were hoping to just push through but as we were outside of Mackay my son just couldn't take it anymore. Quickly jumped online to find a place to stay and so glad we picked this place. Staff were efficient, it's bang smack in the centre of town too which made it a bonus and room was clean. Would stay here again."

"The hotel room was very clean, the restaurant was facing the boat dock, the breakfast was very comfortable, many 𡷊 Outer water activities were set off at the pier of 𥚃, but it was far from the city center and it was very convenient to walk. Along the coast, the scenery was beautiful."
