"I typically don't write reviews but the service was so good here during my stay that I'm making an exception.
1. The hotel staff picked us up at the train station upon our arrival, and also took us back there at the end of our stay, at no cost.
2. Every member of the staff has a great attitude, always smiling and ready to lend you a helping hand.
3. We didn't use them, though you can do your laundry (both washing machines and dryers are available). Detergent is free to use.
4. Breakfast is only worth it if included.
5. Rooms are clean and reasonably large. Two chairs are available even in the most basic rooms.
6. If you intend to travel outside the city, you can ask the front desk for recommendations, they'll put you in touch with a driver for hire.
All in all, it's extremely good value for money. It's the first time I experienced such type of service when the hotel room is only 200RMB a night!"

"As a 73-year-old, well-traveled individual, I would have to say that the staff (management, reception, housekeeping) at the Hope Hotel are probably the best I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Very friendly, courteous, polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them at all. The hotel itself is in a decent location with plenty of public transport available. Parking is adequate. The rooms are basic and clean, but all the necessities are available. The hotel borders Ailianhu Park with nice views of the Karst mountains.
With regard to value for money, you can't go wrong. I would stay there again without question."

After the rain, the rushing Yaojiang water rushes down. The hotel is also my favorite antique and modern and simple style. It is very good to drink tea and read books. The design, there are many beautiful puppets and Sanhua, 2 large 🐶 Ren Xuan. I really want to spend some time in my spare time.

Sanitation: Very clean! We also upgraded to a room with a view. In the morning, we can see the beautiful scenery when we open the window. It's great!

Speaking of service, the hotel will help with moving and introduce the scenic spots along the way, so that an unknown person followed us all the way to the hotel and asked for a business card. I will stay here again in the future because the service is so attentive. I saw the legendary three peacocks and a blue cat named Maharashtra, who was very dear to me. The Niu Ge breakfast shop next to the hotel is really delicious. Visitors who come to stay must try the fried silkworm glutinous rice and water chestnut noodles! Overall, this is a hotel with good service and warmth. I was in a hurry this time. I arrived at night and left the next morning. I did not fully explore the beauty of the ancient town. I will still stay here next time I come to Huangyao.
PS: The camellias in the hotel courtyard are blooming very brightly, and they even have a fragrance!

IIgnaz ForstnerWe choose the Seli Hotel due to fact that they allowed our dog. The location was great for us since there is green corridor between the hotel and the canal which made it very easy to bring our little friend out for his business. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was spacious and the mattress was comfortable. The lights are a bit challenging to navigate. Floors and carpets could get a bit more tender love in terms of cleaning. Great breakfast buffet and environment, very light and inviting. We wished there would be a minifridge in the room though. A drawback is that you hear everything, from people in the adjoining rooms. We even hear the music from the hallway. But they did turn it off after we asked.

The boss is very friendly and there are many places to eat around. The room has been designed and is quite comfortable to live in. But I want to complain about the bathroom. Why is the bathroom so small in such a big room? The key is that there is no separation of wet and dry, you have to wipe the toilet after flushing, and the floor is very slippery. The hot and cold shower water is also a problem.

DDi TanThis charming, ancient house turned family-run hotel is nestled within the historic city walls (note that even as a hotel guest, you’ll need to purchase an entrance ticket to access the city). Beautifully decorated, it exudes authentic charm, but it feels more like a homestay than a hotel, with its pros and cons.
The warm landlady’s hospitality and generosity were slightly hindered by the language barrier (as we regrettably don’t speak Chinese). However, her helpful daughter bridged the gap via WeChat, providing tips, arranging transportation, and ensuring a smooth stay.
All in all, it’s an excellent choice for travelers seeking a personal touch and a culturally immersive experience.

CChristopher AlvinThis hotel is very good indeed. The room is extraordinarily large and well presented in wooden finish. It is exceptionally clean with a large bathroom that offers everything I could require.
The staff are wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Often, I would find that they had anticipated a question or need.
The breakfast is very basic and functional with fried noodles, boiled eggs, Baozi (steamed buns) and Zhou (rice porridge), plus tea. Personally, I liked it a lot but I could imagine many travelers finding it too basic for their taste.
I love staying here and do so whenever in Hezhou.
